There seems to be a bigger visual bug in the new update:

Something that determines the recoloring of standard assets and bgs is broken and it all defaults to grey or in the case of the bg to black.

Example are: marble, circus, dirt, L2 shadow,......

I can confirm that the NL player loads so much faster now! However, how does one fix the smaller than usual font size in, say, the level select menu? I prefer the normal font in 12.12.1 and earlier. I've already tried going into the compatibility tab of the NL exe and selecting "windows (enhanced)," but that didn't do anything.

The font change is part of the high-DPI fixes. Basically, the font it was using is a very outdated one (which is for some reason still the default in Delphi), which in particular doesn't support smooth antialiasing and thus looks weird at high DPI (actually, it looks kinda weird by modern standards even at low DPI, it's just not as noticable). However, if people feel the text is a bit small, I can definitely look at increasing the size.

It isn't something that can be reverted through settings; another update would be needed to change anything about it. There should be no reason to use the compatibility options anymore in general.

NeoLemmix V12.12.4 update released. This fixes a single bug, where a zombie interacting with an object that changes its direction (ie: a one-way force field or a splitter) may result in a "random" blocker being turned into a zombie, even possibly one that's nowhere near the zombie.

As always - full download in first post, or you can use the attached ZIP to update from any previous 12.12.X build.

Reuploaded NeoLemmix V12.12.4 with an update to the "special" style that adds a plain-black background (for use with styles that default to a different color).

To update from V12.11.X or older, or a V12.12.0-RC build: Use the full download ZIP in the first post.
To update from V12.12.0, V12.12.1, V12.12.2 or V12.12.3: Use the update ZIP attached to this post. Extract it over your existing V12.12.X installation.
To update from the previous V12.12.4 release: Use the in-game style manager to update the "special" style (or download it manually) - you don't need to update the game itself. However it's also safe to just use the attached ZIP instead, if you prefer.

(Please note that I originally wanted to post this here, but the topic is closed. I thought this topic would be the next best place, but if not then please split it into a new suggestion topic if necessary)

I'd like to propose a new logo for the main menu. I like the current one, but to be honest I've always felt that the lemmings look a bit odd and... well, not very much like lemmings!

Here are the improvements. I've made the hair and faces a little bit bigger (particularly for the lem on the left) and also made the feet a bit bigger and tweaked the positioning slightly:

New version:

Original version, for comparison:

If you like the new version, please feel free to include it in the next update. Or, if anyone would like to suggest any other changes I'd be happy to improve it even further.

What is that reason fix gliders flying track?. Its 2-3 frames different than older neolemmix version. I did my custom pack with old neolemmix editor and most peoples here use new (12.12.4) version. Now this forced me fix nearly every levels which use gliders. Thats really piss me off rightnow. I started make my pack end of the year 2021 there no was new version then.

Thats also seems new editor make some old custom levels impossible to beat. So i have to fix a lot things which make match with new version.

Which Glider physics change do you mean? This change happened many versions ago. Before that physics change, it was possible to assign a Shimmier to a Glider standing in front of a Stacker’s stack and have that lemming land on top of the stack. This is a trick I used in a couple of levels from Lemmings Open Air, but I’ve swapped that out ages ago.

I think the reason the Glider physics were changed originally was that they opened their parachute at a different point in time than Floaters did? Or some discrepancy between regular Fallers and Gliders? namida might remember the details better.

Perhaps you’ve simply missed that update when it happened?

Or is there yet another new Glider physics change (from 2022) I don’t know about yet? ???

It’s hard for me to know which version of the editor you mean by “old NeoLemmix editor”. Are you still talking about an older New-Formats version (12.X)?

Obviously, the Old-Formats editor (10.13) still had old Glider physics. But it also didn’t have any Shimmiers yet.
That’s why people advocate against using the Old-Formats editor, at least if you plan to make your pack available for New Formats, too.
This is different from when I started working on Lemmings World Tour, which was during the transition phase to New Formats.

(I originally wanted to wait with that until New Formats was available, because I already wanted Lemmings World Tour to include Jumpers. But if I had waited that long until the Jumper was introduced to finish the pack, it still wouldn’t be completed today.)

EDIT: Alright, judging from your other posts in other threads, you were talking about an older version of New-Formats NeoLemmix; one that already included the Shimmier, but neither the Slider or Laserer, nor the Jumper, which was introduced much earlier (and already after that Glider physics change).

The discussion of the glider physics change is here: https://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=4875.msg82727#msg82727

Also, I think you might be aware of it, but when it comes to checking which levels broke your intended solution, you can run a mass replay check. Much faster than checking every single level and seeing where the replays fail. Just make sure your pack is loaded in the NL player, i.e, select your pack and press ok, click the "select levels" card or press F2, and then click on mass replay check. Browse to the folder where you have your replays stored, and then double-click any replay file for your pack. When it's done, a text file of the results will be in your NL directory. Open it up, and the results will be sorted out in 3 categories: passed, undetermined, and failed. From this, you can quickly see which levels you need to fix instead of needing to go over each level 1 by 1, although it's still a great idea to do so, if you were planning to make plenty of changes anyway!

My format which i make my orginal pack was  V.12.8.2 version. In this version Gliders reach land 2-3 pixel before than new version. So i have to  move all blocks that 2-3 pixels.

Yeah this version not have those new skills like Lasers, sliders, jumpings. We still have 10 other skills +orginal skills. Im not sure how old is this version.
