Hi kaywhyn

My brother and I have been enjoying watching the let's plays you have been doing. :) Welldone for completing the Nuked Lems pack, I hope you enjoyed playing through the levels. I put my levels in alphabetical order, some of the ones near the end of the alphabet seemed harder I noticed. I might watch some more of your videos tomorrow with my brother. My brother has been trying to work out the solutions to the levels as you were playing along

I voted on the poll for number one I feel your lets plays have been really good, my brother was saying the same thing, he could hear you and enjoyed watching you play through them as well. Some levels had some interesting solutions, so far I've not seen any major backroutes but apart from that there were some levels that were completed slightly different to my intended solution but I tried to make it that way on purpose as there are many different ways to do a level.

You have done well for doing the blind let's play if that's the right term to use. It can be difficult doing a blind let's play so to say as you don't know if you will encounter a problem or not.  You have certainly done well anyway with that.

As Proxima was saying about youtube having the new chapter thing you can jump to different bits in the video if it were to be a long one but 30 to 40 minutes actually seemed like not a bad amount of time for the video.

Hope you enjoyed the pack.

Lix Levels / Re: The original Lemmings 2-player maps
« on: December 22, 2020, 03:13:28 PM »
Must be around five months ago I got my small guide published on the gamefaqs website, I'm all about promoting the original and oh no two player levels. They are quite strict with what they would allow you to publish, anything too small will probably not get published.

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ast/951761-lemmings-and-oh-no-more-lemmings/faqs

I usually play the two player game one the atari st emulator and these levels have been very interesting one as there are so many ways and strategy you could apply to the levels.

I have the guide on this one as well, this is the amiga one as well.

To me, it doesn't seem that the game failed. Maybe it could have had more people buying it. The more time goes by the more popular the game might get, that's the way I tend to think of it.

Oh, I remember seeing that one, usually when I type lemmings in the search box on steam, :) :) I notice that (Dumb little Creatures) comes up near the bottom of the page. I've not played it yet but might get around to checking it out. That's good you got it up on the steam website, give it time and it might end up doing well, It's probably getting it to the right audience which is probably the crucial one here.

Good on you for getting it up on the steam, :) yes, this is the big one for new games. That's top-notch you are getting people talking about it and playing on youtube. I get very nervous and scared when even seeing someone playing my lemmings levels on youtube. I even get worried when someone buys one of my e-books. It must be a human thing.

You are doing the right thing by getting some feedback. There was a game called cloners which were one I bought from steam.

Version two might be a way forward, one of the games I play is cue club 2, the gentleman behind the game is always updating it and asking for feedback on issues that could be improved. I guess that goes the same for Namida and Simon, keeping it fresh and alive so to say. Do get a chance to ask people on steam, you have probably already doing this.

Interesting about the whole puzzle yeah maybe there is a lack of interest in this category itself. You might be the very person who keeps that genre of games alive.

I'm going to look at it on youtube now.

Good luck with it hermojp

Non-Lemmings Gaming / Re: What video game(s) are you playing at the moment?

Coincidence, Cool

I think you will really enjoy that one, it's certainly a fun game. I think it came out around 2004 so maybe still a new board game to the world so to say.

I like board games, you will have fun with this one. Looking forward to hearing how you get on with the (Ticket to ride)
Thanks for letting us know Minim. :)

Hi Mantha

Say for instance if you are wanting to place the same tile again and again, is there a quicker way to do that. I remember doing it the slow way. No worries if unsure.

That Spelunky game seems very popular, hoping you are enjoying that one Nessy. :)

I'm playing the (Ticket to ride) board game, it's a good little board game where you have to connect routes up to complete your destination tickets. One other game that is quite good is Carcassonne another board game where you get points for creating cities and other things.

These are games you can get on steam for a good price.

That's a good achievement with the number of packs you have completed 64. I bet not many people have completed as much as 64 packs.

The Nuked Lemmings only uses the original eight skills the same as the skii sloping lemmings. I feel some of the levels in Nuked Lemmings are of a difficult nature, I tried to make the levels a bit different to the skii sloping ones as a lot of the skii sloping ones did tend to have a lot of building levels.

I must warn looking over the levels again yes these are difficult ones, the nuked lemmings, you can do them in any order I don't think the order of these levels matters as each level stands on its own if that makes sense.  I could totally be wrong here but I don't think I've seen anyone that's completed the Nuked lemmings yet so don't worry if you do find them tricky. If you can complete a few of them you are doing good.

You are right there was a few levels missing from the skii sloping lemmings, now if I remember one level I really didn't like as it had a lot of building, it was one of those levels with the fire tileset with lots of writing, mentioning all different video games I've played. I think I deleted that level completely, I'll have a look around to see if I can see any of them but in my opinion that level with all the writing, I don't think it was that good, to be honest.

There was another level as well I think, need to try to remember what level it was.

That will be very helpful to lots of people Mantha  I've got a feeling that there are a lot more people that are not registered on this forum than there is that is registered, I could be wrong. I've not made a custom graphic set yet, I might maybe think about that in the future.

I was going to recommend my pack Nuked Lemmings, it only has 20 levels but the 20 levels are difficult but hopefully not too hard.

I hear you have completed quite a lot of packs Kaywhyn.

Hey, I like the running rank names, that's actually quite cool. I notice a lot of people are into their running this weather. I used to be actually quite good the running in the past but as of now not as good as I used to be. I was hoping to maybe do a half marathon in the future although that will be hard.

I think making levels difficult makes a challenge at least. I might maybe get round to playing your pack one time. Sorry I've not been playing packs lately.

I'm sure your pack will be quite good. Getting into the level pack making is fun but sometimes can be tricky thinking of the ideas.

Good luck David

Lemmini / Re: [SuperLemmini] WillLem's SUPERLEMMINGS!

Hi WillLem

I like the idea of creating a level one for each level theme, like one rock, one snow.  Also having just one lemming on it is actually not a bad idea and could be a fun one on its own.

Lemmings Main / Re: Fun with WAFD
« on: November 20, 2020, 01:24:41 AM »
I felt like pausing it on the atari st didn't really help that much as you couldn't really change anything. There's a big difference with the windows version when you pause it you can get another skill ready for the lemming or do more things compared with the amiga or the atari st ones.

General Discussion / Re: Simon blogs

I was thinking the same as yourself Willem as you could probably do a thing maybe with lemmings levels or other things. We use to play it on this forum as well in the past. I was still probably trying to get used to the rules and still learning the game. It's a great game as I love my board games, my brother got me some board games for Christmas. I like to think everyone has their board that they are good at, I know some board games require luck such as your backgammon but I challenge that aspect. There were skilled backgammon players playing against hard computers and most times the players won the game. Don't get me wrong luck plays a Hugh part in games but there's the skill aspect as well.

I noticed you gave up the caffeine Simon, is that very hard to do. I like the pepsi max, I think they have the non caffeine version of diet pepsi. Does caffeine do more damage than good, it probably does when we thing about it. Good on you Simon for giving that up for July time.

Are you still going cold turkey with it at the moment Simon?
