Mancala is a really good game. I first came across this game in hoyle board games but it got removed from the hoyle games in future series. There's a game called rummy squares in hoyle games which is probably technically rummikub an interesting little game. You have to get rid of all your tiles to win this one.

Rummikub itself actually brings up a certain debate, now the debate is how long can you have for your turn. Only reason it brings up this is because the longer you have for your turn you have a better chance of clearing your tiles I feel.

Have you tried Rummikub yourself Simon? It's a great game I feel.

Hi 607

How are you getting on with the lemmings levels.  That's actually not a bad attempt for a first attempt at the (And then there were four) level. 87% you rescued. :)

Almost finished, I think I am 71 levels out of 80 so very close to finishing. Once I finish I might start to focus on fixing backroutes. I like the different solutions levels have but if the solution is more of a backroute I might try to block that one off. I've stuck to the classic terrain sets for the levels and it only uses the traditional skills, maybe giving lemming fans a blast from the past. I'm happy with the way some of the puzzles have turned out.

The frame stepping feature might mean that we can make levels a bit harder without it being too annoying.

Hi Mobius, Hi everyone

Thanks for sharing Mobius, this will be helpful to a lot of people. :)

I'm glad to hear that the meditation has helped. My doctor or therapist recommended I try mindfulness to tackle the ocd, one of the things I remember mostly was a task where my therapist was saying to stick a message somewhere in my room where each morning I wake up I see the message and it reminds me that I'm not my thoughts. If I remember correctly I think the message was (You are not your thoughts). I felt that this message did help me as I was still struggling with the intrusive thoughts.

One thing that does come to mind when I think of mindfulness is when it comes to eating food is being mindful when you are eating. If we can apply this technique to lots of areas in our life I think this can only be a positive approach if done properly.

That is cool that you are remembering your dreams more. :)

Hope everyone is doing well. I thought I would post this topic which will be about the (Ski Sloping lemmings) a level pack with about 80 levels I've made split into four ranks so 20 levels each rank. I'm still to finish off the level pack but I'm very near to completing it. The name ski sloping lemmings might be a bit misleading as it has nothing to do with skiing levels but more to do with the rank names. The easiest rank is the Blue Slope and the hardest rank is the orange slope. Most people might know that the black slope is usually the hardest slope in skiing but I think it is the orange slope that is the hardest but the orange slope is very rare me thinks.

The ranks are as follow.

Blue Slope
Red Slope
Black Slope
Orange Slope

All of the levels I will make only have the eight classic skills as I feel you can still think of many puzzle ideas hopefully. I think I might be a few Neo lemmix versions behind but hoping someone can help us with that one, I wonder if the instant bomber is still the same and if the fall distance is still the same from the version I have.

Some of the levels might be lacking in the design department.

Sorry I won't post the level pack yet but I might ask a question, is there a tool for making level packs, I think Flopsy had a video about it somewhere.

Just a quick thought

Actually could you use Lemming levels in a game of zendo as you could say that Mayhem levels have the buddha nature or whatever else you can think of. (etc)

Hi 607

I remember playing the demo of the game when it came out. The only track available in the demo was the (Toys in the hood) one. Yes you are right Venice is a very hard track, the computers always tend to beat me on that track. The custom tracks are nice. The ones I remember are the Egyptian one, I remember one with the name Helios, maybe that is the Egyption one. I think I saw yourself playing a titanic level that was flooded as I saw you underwater. There was a map which I quite liked called quake, based on a earthquake that happened as you can tell everything is off place and stuff.

That's a good review you did there 607, Sorry I never replied sooner about your re-volt review, The review explains the game quite well and also has a few screenshots which are very helpful, shows you what the game is all about. I do recommend this game to all you racing fans, it's a really good one. The Museum level was a bit of a nightmare when I first played it a long time ago. The wild west levels looked really nice, I like the atmosphere those levels had.  The 1990s felt like a good decade for video games I feel.

This game still seems to be alive with the all the online community making maps and cars maybe.

Hope you have a good christmas 607 and to everyone else.

I've been playing some of the tomb raider games, I'm currently playing tomb raider anniversary. I think I'm on the second last level which has been quite hard.

Also I've been playing some (Parasol stars) on the atari st emulator, I still enjoy my old games.

I ordered the Rhem games for my brother and everything went okay as they arrived.

Hi Everyone

Interesting read there Mobius. Exploding head syndrome, I noticed that people have tried clomipramine to help with these symptoms, that's the medication I'm taking for my ocd. Could be some sort of connection between the Exploding head syndrome and ocd. I usually got intrusive thoughts which can be quite hard to handle but the medication has been helping.

Hoping it's not causing you too much trouble Mobius

According to a doctor I heard on a pod cast recently he believes that it's possible every dream we have is logged in our memories but it's the connection or retrieval to those memories that is lost.
Sometimes a sound or event in daily life can trigger the memory of a past dream.

Hope I did the quote thing right. :) That is interesting as that is something I believe in myself that we can in a sense unlock our memory to dreams we have not remembered in a long time. Dreams are cool and weird. My mum told me her dream the other day and I got a laugh.

Thanks for sharing Simon, Now we know the true story. :) The festive season is a nice time for family to get together, maybe members of the family we have not seen for a long time. It's also good to relax as well.  I think I played the 1995 version of Jazz Jackrabbit which was a holiday or christmas themed one, it has snow and if I remember correctly the bad guys were red in that one. I played the jazz jackrabbit with my brother to see who is champion. We raced each other and seen who got the better time but if you die you fail as you were only allowed one attempt.

You are right 607 there are a few mistakes in my last post. I seem to be doing that a lot lately. :-[

It's a nice solution. There are a few different ways to solve that level. That's actually a really good level as I feel it has a puzzle element attached to it.

With the (Curse of the Pharaoh) level I sometimes use some of the builders in the middle of the level before bashing the pyramid I build back over so that it gives the lemmings a massive walk before they get back to the pyramid so that there are not loads of lemmings when it comes to building to the exit as you could end up building the wrong way otherwise.  Actually thinking about it that might be more of a unique solution well maybe not. :)

Go for it 607, you are doing good.:thumbsup:

I had this yesterday I think.

I was back at school and I think the subject was PE, we were starting a new activity which was we were getting medical tested which was strange. I remember being given a liquid that made me drowsy, I found it tricky to open my eyes. Lots of my school mates were getting tested as well. I remember feeling really tired and I was given this injection into my shoulder. It felt sore when they pulled the plaster off my shoulder where the injection was.

Another experiment was trying to get us to forgive serial killers and there was a two buttons, one for forgiven someone and the other for not forgiven someone. I felt tired from my last experiment but as I was thinking what button to press the guy controlling the experiment pushed my hand onto the forgive button so I clicking forgive everytime.

Another experiment was them giving us this liquid to drink and the liquid caused us to be sick, that's what the purpose of the liquid was used for.

I didn't want the dream to end as I was enjoying it for some reason. I thought this course and subject seemed amazing.

I think Simon from the forum made an appearance in my dream, we found out the reason why Simon has a christmas theme on his avatar, he was dared to do it for October, one of his friends must of dared him to do it. That was the reason according to the dream I had.

I've still been doing the volunteering, get to meet a lot of nice people, a lot of patients at the hospital are really friendly  and it's good to have a little chat with them when we are going round the wards with the trolley. I remember once or twice the fridge in the shop was not working so the soft drinks and everything ended up being warm instead of ice cold. Lots of complaints (lol)

I've still been a regular on the voicemails with the prank call community. Seems to be a hobby of mine at the moment.

I've actually been making a lemmings pack as well, I'm hoping for about 80 levels but I'll see how that goes.

Is it time for 607 to play lemmings.

Mu brother will be onto that game quickly (Red Dead Redemption II) I remember reading somewhere that the horses or animals you have in the game can be dead forever, if you get unlucky and kill your horse it will be dead forever I think. I remember watching my brother play the first red dead redemption and the graphics looked really nice, he kept on removing the skin from the dead animals.

Me on the other hand I've been playing some (Worms Armageddon) I usually do a game where each team has eight worms and six teams, five computer controlled teams. It's fun even till this day. Worms World party is really good also, different missions to worms armageddon but still really nice game. Titus interactive I think published the pc version of worms world party.

Tiger Woods games are really fun, I've still been playing the tiger woods 2008 version, the best golf games in my opinion.
