Congratulations Crane for winning the contest!!!

I voted Crane's Precarious Construction (Part 2) and IchoTolot's Shadowrun in the first round and IchoTolot's Shadowrun in the second round. These two levels I found the most attractive looking, and I found Shadowrun alongside keiya's Careless Oasis to work as the authors wanted them to work. I'm really wondering though that Crane's level actually managed to win after that IchoTolot's level gained 6 votes from 6 voters in the first round against Crane's 4 votes from 6 voters, and the final resulted in Crane's 4-3 victory. :o Did someone change his/her mind in the middle of the contest? :P Anyway, a great rise for the underdog contender to be the final winner after all, Crane!

IchoTolot, this was the first level I ever played from you and I can say that I am really anticipating your upcoming levelpack, this was fantastic. Crane, same to you, I've waited for your levelpack for few years already, maybe you're still working with it hopefully? :) Anyway, good job all the contenders, I enjoyed a lot playing everyone's levels after getting to used to NeoLemmix also.

Thx for the nice comment! :-[ I try to keep up the standard and maybe even improve my creating skills in the progress (esspecially the decorating side, if the terrain maximum allows it), to make the final pack as good as it can get!
I have a little secret about the second voting round: I myself voted for Crane's level  ;)

In Development / Re: NeoLemmix Community Pack

Sounds like a great idea!   Personally I still must get into NeoLemmix one day (I think you use the "NeoCustLemmix" setup in the editor to create new levels) and will probably try it out after I finished my own pack for Lemmini (2/3 done 100/150).
But after that is done and released; I would participate in creating levels for the pack.

So I've played and recorded Doomsday Lemmings in the last couple of days!

Enjoy and hopefully I didn't break too many level  ;)

At the end of the recording I forgot that I turned down my headset volume a bit for NeoLemmix, so the videos are a bit louder than my Lemmini ones  :-[
I must still get used to record NeoLemmix stuff. It took a while to get everything working and for the next NeoLemmix series I will probably turn down the volume a bit again, but for this reason I choosed a little pack for the beginning and not the big ones.

Glad I could help you out.  ;)  I first played the classic first encounter at a LAN-Party back in the days, it was complete chaos and lots of fun. I instandly bought the secound encounter and from that moment I stayed with the series up to the 3rd part which was released a few years ago and I cannot wait for the next game.

By the way... anyone have any recommendations to what game I should get on Steam? Not expecting to win, my choice to buy the original Quake and the expansions was a little premature!  I have everything for Doom, Quake and Commander Keen already (except Keen Dreams and Aliens Ate My Babysitter; yep, I'm an old-school gamer!)
Through mentioning all thse oldschool shooter I recommend you trying the Serious Sam HD games (They should be a little bit over 10$, but you could wait for sale).  ;)  Lots of fun (up to 16 player coop) and mowing down hordes and hordes of monster with miniguns, laser, cannons..... and it has a lot of great oneliners, too.

Havoc 05 "There`s madness in the method" is definitly my favorite "Oh No" level. Back in the day it took a long time to solve, but the solution is really nice!

Level Design / Lemmini custom tilesets
January 28, 2015, 07:44:35 AM
I want to ask if somebody has some more custom tilesets for Lemmini. I am especially interested in Lacktardo's "Biolab"(Lemmings 3 classic) and "Adams Family" tilesets or more Lemmings 2 ones. ??? So far I've gathered: Christmas, Route88, Castle, Egyptian, Shadow, Sport, Sega and Epic (All standard ones combined).
So my hope for this topic is to get to know and even better to get my hands on some more tilesets for my custom levels.  ;)

I've decided to upload a replay with the intended solution for my entry "Shadowrun", so that you can control yourself if you got the right solution or backrouted it.

Spoiler
Nepsters solution I wouldn't consider a big backroute, but I changed the level for the final pack so that you can't just dig down the right pillar and climb it up again (it would create an edge then)

...the need to replay levels from the start (even with a replay feature - it still relies on you interrupting it at the right moment, and the fact it scrolls the screen automatically does not help) on
Yep, I know how it works. Don't worry - I do intend to give your level another go! But I'm used to Lemmix, where you can actually hit Enter at any point to "mark" that point, then press Backspace to jump back to that exact frame; you can also press N (or click in empty space) while paused to advance by exactly one frame, and assigning a skill while paused doesn't unpause the game.

That Enter thing sounds really nice. Ok, now I can totally understand you :P  didn't know that before I wouldn't want to miss that feature either!  ;)

...the need to replay levels from the start (even with a replay feature - it still relies on you interrupting it at the right moment, and the fact it scrolls the screen automatically does not help) on Lemmini was driving me freaking crazy, so I gave up for now. Maybe I'm too used to Lemmix's fine control features...

Never had big problems with the Lemmini replay system (Maybe I am just don't used to anything else). You know you can simply interrupt a replay and return to normal play mode by "just clicking" on a skill?
I always just speed up to right before the screwup point (or to the point I used the last correct skill) and click on a skill.

In my opinion Cranes level was the most prettiest of the entries  even though it got backrouted, but even that solution was solid and would make up a great "Tricky" one (cant speak for the intended difficulty though).
The best level solutionwise (for me) I must say is möbius level. I really enjoyed the level and I didn't think I backrouted it

Press U while playing to save a replay. Press L to choose a replay to be played while playing the level   (knowing that thx to namida  ;))

Ty for the tipps   will make a replay of my level later or tomorrow.

Ok here are my replays for the other levels  ;) (attachment    all played as 0101.lvl in the player)
