Site Discussion / Re: Global Mod Color is hard to read
« on: March 11, 2024, 12:12:18 PM »
Hi Kaywhyn, I think Green or Red would work very well.  If I was to vote, Green looks like it would fit in well. :)  Is this a new role you got for the (Global Moderator)?  Good on you and I think you will make a good Global Moderator.:thumbsup:

Green is my second favorite color. I think Lemmings might be behind the reason why I chose Green as my second favorite, the lemmings two player where player two's lemmings have a green color. :)

Welcome to the forum Mobiethian :)

My very first time discovering it was the original lemmings when I was watching my Mum and Dad play it on their Atari ST, as Strato was saying there was the cheat option which was something I used all the time, I just loved looking at the levels and the decorations of the levels.  I thought there was something quite cool about the decorations and the way the levels looked.  As a kid I used to pretend that I was playing lemmings but using household objects as obstacles.

I've been playing Lemmings 3d recently again and must say this is quite well done. I'm loving the puzzles, I've almost completed Taxing Difficulty.  It was one of the games I found a bit hard when I was younger, I Think it was to do with the navigating around a level.

Hi Master-88

I remember you from youtube :)  .  (I'm the same age as yourself)  I have autistic spectrum disorder, myself, I got tested around the same time I got my diagnoses for my mental health condition.  (The dreaded Ocd)  It's interesting learning more about one's self if that's the right term.

They do tend to say English is quite a hard language to learn compared to other languages.  Never go hard on yourself that will end up putting a massive amount of pressure on yourself. I think usually hen we read stories from the media we think to ourselves we should be a certain way which is the wrong way to think I feel.

I tend to remember information for quizzes such as knowing all the US state capitals. I'm actually quite good at the letters game on the countdown nd I'm quite good at word board games.   Paperback is great board game as well as scrabble.

Chris packham is a big campaigner for autism and has spoken about things in the past.

Those levels look really good and look just like the lemmings chronicles levels.

Hi everyone

Been having a busy time with things. I might talk about things I've been up to and maybe other things.

I got my book published and is available on a lot of different book stores such as Barnes and Noble and many other ones. I got it self published on paperback. Now one thing in relation to spelling mistakes and grammar. I felt like I tried to get rid of a lot of the errors and did my best but they are still some, I'm going to say yes there is a bit of mistake here and there in the book.

Could I make a request if you are wanting to leave a review even if you do think it is not that good, could you leave a good review.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Harm-Ocd-Exploration-Graeme-Currie/dp/1365670074?msclkid=1504b026abcb11ec9c8e4b90733f5114

It's also on many other websites such as Barnes and Noble, Walmart and many other ones such as Goodreads. This is technically my first paperback book which I'm proud how it all turned out.

The main idea of the book is focused on what harm Ocd is and the fictional characters talk about their day to day life and what thoughts they get on a daily basis. I thought who would be best to explain it being from a harm Ocd sufferer such as myself. The harm thoughts the individual talk about are very real as these are the thoughts I get personally. Hope anyone who does give it a read learns more about the harm Ocd theme and how much torture the sufferer feels on a day to day basis.

I might be starting back at the volunteering very soon. That's some of the volunteers coming back and hoping to come back myself and if possible go back to the trolly service where we go round the wards offering the tuck shop service type of thing. I enjoy talking to patients who are always very friendly. We will be having to wear the mask all the time which is very understandable.

I'm also going to try my hand at becoming an extra on TV shows, I've been in contact with a company or agency and just need to get all my details such as height, weight probably. The company seem legit and are very helpful. Getting involved might mean I would probably have to wear a costume or something to that but it does have its pros and cons such as the costume might be very uncomfy. There is a good chance I could be an extra or supporting actor in a known TV show on netflix but it is still to be decided. THere is a lot of talk about the NDA, or non-disclosure agreement where I won't be able to discuss what show or thing it is.

My gran has been making steady progress, hoping to maybe walk without using the zimmer, still don't know if this is a good idea or a bad one but her carers are hopeful for that to happen. She has four or three carers that come in at different times of the day to help her with things such as cooking her a meal or general house cleaning. THey have been very helpful. I hot her a big monkey soft teddybear type toy. I called the Monkey George and Gran loves the monkey, she put glasses on the monkey and the monkey is sitting on her other seat. I thought it gives her something to talk about and it got the carers laughing.

Her eyesight and hearing are getting worse but she is okay when using the telephone, she struggles with the Alexa device where she can't hear you at all and you can hear everyone talking louder. I do feel sorry for her in that regard. My mum always makes a good point by saying she is 98 years old what do you expect.

One other thing I was wanting to add, was I notice Mobius was talking about the word game where you have to get as many words as possible. I think you guys would love word yatchze which is one of the games located on the hoyle board or table games.

That looks very nice Jeremy, your family must really like the lemmings as well. :)

I've got some good news and have done what yourself and WillLem were mentioning and it works, no lemmings were splatting on the (Tanks A lot) level. I'll try to complete those two levels, thanks

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

That might actually work, fingers crossed.  The more I think about this the more confused I get. (lol)

I've been watching ColorfulArty playing through the lemmings revolution levels, interesting seeing all the different solutions to the levels.

It certainly is a confusing one (lol) I think it might be the case that the high dive patch changes the fall distance. It's interesting, we are certainly getting closer to sorting this one out. Unfortunately, the lemmings still seem to splat on the (tanks a lot) level, I tried uninstalling and installing it using Jeremy's version. Even though it does say that the levels are completed, they still seem to splat on the (Tank's a lot) level. (Weird one)

Would someone else be able to try the Tank's a lot level to see if it works okay?

We will get to the bottom of this I'm sure.

Thanks WillLem for posting.  :) I think the one's I've been trying seem to have the patch applied and I was checking to see if the (High Dive) level bombs. It didn't bomb and the lemmings were still splattering in the (Tanks A lot) Level. Yes, I think you are right WillLem, it does seem a bit harder to dig under the blocker compared to the old lemming games.

Maybe it might be a case of the save file includes the patch, hmmmmmm (This is like a puzzle in itself)

I changed the topic title as WillLem was saying. :)

95 packs is really good going Kaywhyn.:thumbsup: All different level designs and you could probably tell who does what type of pack. You will have a lot knowledge of the different levels as well playing that many level packs. As long as you have had fun along the way that's the main thing.

Lemmings Main / Re: What lemmings games have you completed?
« on: November 04, 2021, 03:26:43 PM »
I think that's maybe me technically completed lemmings revolution. All levels completed, I probably need the patch so I can complete the two broken levels but according to the solutions to those two levels, they look quite easy now. It's funny that when you play something that might be classed as impossible to complete but you play the patched up version of that you end up completing it quite easily as you know all the secrets and stuff.
