Hi, it's been quite a while since I last visited this forum; I'm glad to see the Lemmings community is still creating fun content.

I have these levels for older versions of NeoLemmix, but I haven't been able to find versions compatible with the latest release; these are the official levels that used to be available for download from the NeoLemmix website.

I know Redux is highly recommended, but I also want to keep these levels because they are the ones I've played since I was a kid.

I tried converting them using NXPConvert, but I keep getting this error:

"Access violation at address 004FEAE7 in module 'NXPConvert.exe'. Read of address 0000000C"

I managed to convert the internal styles whenever possible (using nxpextract to extract all the .dat files), but in the "7 - Extra Levels.nxp" pack, for instance, there are some styles that GSConvert refuses to convert due to an "Unexpected end of file" error.

Anyway, I'm stuck now. I don't know if there are any other options left to try, so I'm asking for help—hoping someone can shed some light on this, or perhaps let me know if these packs have already been converted and I just haven't found them.

If you want to play the levels from the original games in NeoLemmix, this conversion is the most up-to-date and recommended.

Thank you so much, really, now I can actually have these levels in NeoLemmix.

@Proxima - I'll probably start including your compilation with CE, after making the updates you've suggested in your OP.

Every now and then, someone asks about the OG levels. Many people probably don't ask, but still want them. Let's just provide them once and for all.

I can confirm that getting the original games to run on modern machine quickly leads to this forum and NL. At first newcomers most certainly want to replay those games before even thinking to try user made content.
That was my case some months ago and I was a bit disappointed that the original games were not all readily available.

Save One level pack : do you have what it takes to save one Lemming ?
16 levels of medium-hard difficulty.

Hi WillLem, first of all, I wanted to thank you for your work in the Lemmings community. I hadn't visited the forum in a long time, and when I logged in recently, I was pleasantly surprised to see that there are active Lemmings projects.

I had previously tried earlier versions of NeoLemmix and Lemmix, though I don't think NeoLemmix was as advanced back then as it is now.

I wanted to play the original games on Windows properly, which is why I asked for those levels for NeoLemmix in this thread. BUT, after digging deeper into the forum, I realized that SuperLemmix is actually the best way to play these levels. It's fantastic.

The thing is, I notice it's somewhat buried or hidden on the forum; to me, it seems like the right approach for playing the original levels. Perhaps it should be suggested somewhere prominent that SuperLemmix is a better option for playing the DMA levels.

I also really loved the "Yippie! More Lemmings" and "Lemmings Multiverse" packs; at first, I didn't know what they were, but once I saw the info for each level in the selector, I understood.

Off-topic: The PS3 Lemmings version has a broken music index file, so the music doesn't play... and in one of the packs I mentioned earlier, the *Shadow of the Beast* Mega Drive level plays random music... at least from what I've seen so far.

I really love SuperLemmix... and NeoLemmix too, though I see that one as being better suited for new levels.

We have this sticky topic summarising the various ways to play original Lemmings on modern computers, with a little overview of the pros and cons of each. It's what a lot of people come here wanting to know.

But the topic doesn't (and shouldn't) recommend one engine over others; that's a matter of taste and a question of which features the user values most.
