Yeah it is Worldwide, it's showing up on the NA lineup aswell.

Already bought the game anyway as it's only £7.99 normally anyway.

Lemmings Main / Re: The future of the Lemmings series
« on: February 13, 2016, 07:09:58 PM »
Broke out my PS Vita and started playing the PSP port of Lemmings again and realised how terrible it was in places. The lemmings just walk so slow in that port and it's so bad that levels just take longer in general.
In fact majority of Fun and Tricky had 7-11 min time limits!

I enjoyed Lemmings Touch, it's not a bad thing to do with Lemmings but as namida says, the movable objects are annoying and they don't really have a place in a Lemmings game. Luckily not a lot of the levels relied on this mechanic.
The evil lemmings are a nice gimmick, it's like the zombies in Neo Lemmix but they come out of the trapdoor aswell and you can actually assign tasks to them. But if they get to a exit then you lose.
I can enjoy the game enough to play it too the end though.

Lemmings PS3 was a lazy release I thought, there was only 40 levels (10 per rank) and there was only TWO graphic sets! One of which was really dark and had to be lit up as you went along the level which means you couldn't work out the solutions as easily.
However, the skill pick ups was a nice mechanic which has been adopted in Neo Lemmix.

Anyway on topic, considering the above offerings from Sony so far. I don't have much confidence in them delivering a quality Lemmings release ever. In my opinion Psygnosis/DMA were the masters of making Lemmings games and always will be.

That was a great stream, too bad I missed the last 12 levels of Mayhem.

There was great dislike for the builder heavy levels in the stream, like Lemming Sanctuary in Sight, Hunt the Nessy and King of the Castle aswell.

Triple Trouble got a bit of hate but it was only because of difficulty so I guess that's not the kind of hate we're looking for.

That was the general opinion of about 30-40 people who were watching the stream anyway.

Site Discussion / Re: Happy one year birthday to the new site!

Wow, didn't realise this site was that young.

It looks great on here and in the short time I've been a member, I enjoy reading the posts. Just don't usually have much to say!

Here's to many more years

I'm so happy with the quality of the Lemmings merchandise, I'm thinking of doing a youtube video where I showcase all of the ones shown in this thread, ie. Heat Change Mug, Magnets and the Talking Lemmings plush.

Just wanted to see if that was something people are interested in seeing and also to see if there are any objections from the makers of the products. I don't see why there would be any objections personally because I've got nothing but nice things to say about them.

I realise that the Lemmings plush is actually not made by Paladone aswell.

Thanks for the heads up on these plushes being released to the public finally

I've just ordered one myself along with the heat change mug and magnets.

£17.99 is pretty good for a talking plush in my opinion, there are plushes on that site which are the same price or more expensive and don't even talk.

NeoLemmix Levels / Re: NeoLemmix release of Lemmings Reunion
« on: August 16, 2015, 06:16:36 PM »
Just started working my way through this and I've only done the first 19 levels so far so SLOW progress.

After watching namida's videos on this pack and getting the hang of the hotkeys in NeoLemmix, I thought I'd give this beast of a pack a try.
I'm not confident enough to video it though because some levels in this pack looked brutal.

I enjoyed watching namida's videos but since most of his backrouting has been fixed in the updated version (1.2), the final few ranks will be more challenging. Chances are I'm not going to remember most of the solutions anyway!
Anyway, I'm liking the vast amount of music and graphic sets included in this pack, especially the music tracks from Lemmings Chronicles (they are great tracks)

I'm currently recording an LP of 3D Lemmings for my Youtube channel but when that's done, I may be moving on to doing custom level packs in NeoLemmix as my next video project. I think I'll be a long way off recording this pack though!

Both of those merchandise are very good ideas. I want both of those (especially the heat mug!)

Happy there is a market for Lemmings merchandise opening up as of late

My favourite graphic set from classic Lemmings is the Hell/Fire graphic set, that would work well with the mug I think, the mug when heated up could make all the lava and fire shooting traps appear for example.

I'd be more happy with ideas based on the classic Lemmings rather than the newer PSP/PS3 style Lemmings.

Lemmings Main / Re: So, about Lemmings Touch...
« on: August 08, 2015, 08:16:56 AM »
Interesting coincidence; I also bought my Vita for the same primary reason! Although it was much more recent; and I actually ended up getting Lemmings Touch first.

Wow, that is an odd coincidence then again it is easily one of the best games on Vita. I just thought to myself that if I had FFX on the go then I'd be more inclined to play it and grind it whereas if I'm sat at home, I'm more likely to play Lemmings or play on my Wii U.
It doesn't even bother me that X-2 isn't on the cartridge and is available via digital download code because I probably will never play that game anyway!

Can't believe I forgot about Fun being renamed to Easy...oops.

I refuse to play the levels out of order aswell, I was like that on the PSP version of Lemmings. I'm like that on the PS3 downloadable Lemmings and Lemmings Touch was no different.

I think they did that so that people didn't hit brick walls and put down and never play the game again. Let's face it, a lot of gamers these days have lower attention spans than the gamers who played Lemmings back in the 90s. I like that the option to skip levels is there but I'd personally never do it, the idea of getting stuck on a level is part of playing Lemmings in my opinion.

Got stuck on Postcard from Lemmingland, Feel the Heat, Triple Trouble, The Ascending Pillar Scenario, Down Along Up in that Order, Just A Minute and Save Me back in the day, but they stuck in my head when I wasn't playing the game and I was eventually able to solve them and because of that, I remember those levels!

By the way while we're on the subject of being stuck on levels, really enjoying your playthrough of Lemmings Reunion on Youtube at the moment namida, thanks for making those videos

Lemmings Main / Re: Lemmings Collection
« on: August 06, 2015, 09:02:49 PM »
Embarassingly, the Game Boy port of Lemmings was my 2nd ever port of Lemmings after the Amiga version. It was many, many steps backwards!

The NES version is exactly the same as this port pretty much apart from a few mechanic differences. Levels are exactly the same, just color palette differences.

If I recall correctly, Mayhem 4 on Game Boy Lemmings is unsolvable, using the NES Mayhem 4 solution, the climbers just fall down the other side of the wall they climbed and go splat.
I've never been able to solve the level so I just have the Mayhem 5 code written down so I skip it.

It's a nice collection above, a lot of the most popular ports are up there. It's too bad some of the more recent Lemmings games are download only now and you are unable to collect a material release, feels like the end of an era.

I got this game shortly after release and I was (according to TrueTrophies) the 5th person to complete the trophy list for this game.

I enjoyed this game a lot and I'm now revisiting this game and trying to complete it for a second time. I really like the Space and Candy graphic sets. The evil lemmings are a nice addition and I feel they didn't overuse this nor underuse this feature, it gave the underused bombers task a much more prominent part in this game.

I recently revisited the PS3 downloadable version of Lemmings and did a Let's Play for my Youtube channel which is the entry before this game (the one with only 45 levels and you collect the tasks in levels), and I felt that there wasn't much added to Lemmings in that game. They only had the task collecting, the clone machine (which were in Lemmings Paintball!), teleport pads (which were in 3D Lemmings!) and the (annoying!) dark levels which needs to be lit up by your lemmings.

When I compare this PS3 Lemmings to Lemmings Touch, I feel like Lemmings Touch is by far the superior game. The game adds touch controls, evil lemmings, computer controlled switches, movable platforms/objects, star rating system and trampolines.
The levels with evil lemmings in adds a whole new strategy element to the game, it essentially gives you free Blockers and Bomber sacrifice lemmings.
Personally I find the trampoline levels annoying but they are still good additions, it also depends on where your lemmings land on the trampoline aswell as the trajectory so it's a very complicated mechanism.
The star rating system is a nice addition also, it essentially adds some replay value to the game if you're not getting 3 stars immediately.

The hard rating levels were very challenging aswell, I do agree with the fact that the touch controls are not particularly helpful in the harder more precision based levels. I don't remember the hard levels very well, I don't think any levels stand out as ridiculously hard from what I remember.
Don't understand why Fun, Tricky and Taxing stayed in this game yet Mayhem was renamed to Hard.

The newer music tracks in this game are very catchy aswell, especially the Candy and Space ones. I really wish I could download these tracks!

I'd recommend the game although it's hard to justify buying a Vita just for this game. If you still haven't played the PSP version of Lemmings, you can purchase a downloadable version on Vita.
Luckily I bought a Vita for FFX remaster (wanted a handheld version), and this game came out shortly after which was a bonus.

Hey, I've been doing Lemmings related Youtube videos for a few months now. Only been into Youtube video creating since May.

I've done the PS1 version of Lemmings as my first Let's Play series as it was a game I was most confident in doing.

I'm still currently in the process of releasing this Let's Play on Youtube at the moment.

I've even recorded a Let's Play of the PS3 downloadable Lemmings and that will be released shortly after.

Lemmings Main / Re: Upcoming Lemmings book
« on: June 03, 2015, 05:24:12 PM »
I'm curious as to what other negative views people have given on Lemmings The Ports other than the price of the book.

The only info I felt was missing was the skill sets and level info to accompany the image ie. number of lemmings, % to save, release rate but it doesn't have to be in the book because the images are there and they are good enough to help you remember those vital details.

Personally, I can get over the high price tag because the book itself is a great piece of work.

Hey, new user here. I've been hanging around this forum for a few months and enjoyed the custom Lemmings content on this site, the levels I downloaded are of very high quality and it has added to my enjoyment of this awesome game franchise. Just wanted to thank the community for that first.

Anyway, just wanted to drop my 2 cents about this book as I purchased this book this week and had a chance to look through it.

Yes, it may be pricey (£34.95 on Amazon) but I can see why when reading it as there is a lot of information. A lot of effort went into this book and the price is worth it for that.

What particularly impressed me was all the level images from the Amiga version were in the book then it filled in all the gaps with the extra levels which were in other ports of lemmings and not in the Amiga version (so the Genesis ones for example). It didn't include the skill sets of each level but that's fine.
It also had the level images for ONML, 3D Lemmings (the preview screen), All Holiday Lemmings and Lemmings 2 Tribes which is a great pool of resources.

It's a must buy if you love the franchise and want some sort of memoir. It's especially a good read if you have played many different ports of Lemmings and want an idea on how they compare to the Amiga version.
