Something has to be done about the music folder. It will become a huge cluster of unorganized music just by downloading a few levelpacks.
I had a short break after downloading the new format version and starting out fresh, but now the musics are already starting to pile up again.

I would suggest to organize the music into folders by levelpack, but this will cause multiple of the same files if people reuse the same music in different packs.
Other solution would be to include the music in it's own folder within each pack, but the same reuse-problem would still happen.

Any sort of other suggestions and discussion is encouraged. I'd also like to hear more opinions on this matter. Is this actually a problem or am I just too obsessed about organization. :8():

Lix Main / Happy Holidays tileset!
December 20, 2017, 03:47:23 PM

Here's my new holiday themed tileset for Lix! I've also included a one very simple level (seen above) to demonstrate some things you can do with the tiles.
I hope you guys like it! :lix-grin:

Edit Simon: This set is now (early 2018) included in the main Lix download. Its tiles have different filenames, therefore this zip file has become incompatible. Forestidia has recreated this showcasing level with the tiles as they are included in Lix.

If you change the release rate during the very first frame even before any lemmings come out of the hatch, it won't be saved to the replay.
Happens in NL version 11.15.21

NeoLemmix Levels / [NeoLemmix] Lemmings Halloween 2017
October 24, 2017, 10:33:58 AM

Halloween is just around the corner, so I decided to make some Lemmings levels!
There are 20 in only one rank. The levels are not in any particular order.

Here are some pictures:

Road of the pumpkins

Itroducing the Spooky Tileset made just for this occasion!

Trick or treat?

There are also some levels using the hell tileset for obvious reasons. ;)

The Belly of The Beast

The pack also includes three "more challenging" levels using Gronklings menace tileset.

Download:
Here

Last updated on 15.1.2022 to work with version 12.12.4 of NeoLemmix.
Updated post on 21.8.2024 to fix the broken link.

Even if you don't celebrate halloween I hope you find enjoyment out of these levels! All kind of comments, criticism and replays are encouraged!

Every time I try to save and overwrite an existing graphic set / levelpack, I get an error that says the directory is not empty so the file couldn't be saved. For example, if I edit "ray_circus" graphics set and want to save it, I have to manually go to the styles folder and delete the old ray_circus folder first.

This is happens with the new format version.

General Discussion / Silent Let's Plays?
October 09, 2017, 03:12:12 PM
So, I've recently pondered if it would be possible to make "Silent Let's play" -videos. By that I mean no talking, only the game's own sounds and some text-based commentary written by the player.
I know it has been done by some people in the past. I've watched some Don't Starve videos with only text commentary for example.
I came up with this idea because I'd like to try and make some let's play/longplay hybrid videos of Lix with a few subtitles telling my thoughs of each level.

What do you guys think about this idea? How could it be improved? Would it be fun to watch a video like that?
I'm listening to any suggestions you guys might have. :lix-smile:

When I added more than 8 skills by accident, the extra ones went on top of the pause and nuke buttons. :P
This happened in the latest version of the new format editor.

Attached is a picture of what happened.

Lix Main / More distinguishable multiplayer colours
September 20, 2017, 10:14:05 AM
After watching yesterdays stream, It really started to bug me how similar the yellow and orange lix colours are in the multiplayer.
That's why I made a quick edit to the Lix palette, nothing too special. I'm sharing it here if someone else wants to try it out too. :lix-grin:

I've been messing around with pickup skills while making some levels and have come up with an idea that could be useful:
It would be nice if you could increase the amount of skills you get from one pickup. :D

Imagine if you have about 10 or 20 Lemmings and you want to give them all a specific skill that is only unlocked via a pickup later in the level. In this case you'd have to line the pickups next to each other and that would take up a lot of space. This problem would be averted if it was possible to add more skills to one pickup.

I've also made a quick visual concept if my explanation was a bit unclear. :-[

Lix Main / Raymanni's Gore, Lab, Toys improvements
August 25, 2017, 08:15:39 PM
Nice to see my tilesest being used. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. :lix-blush:

I was actually thinking about adding some more stuff to the Lix versions of Gore, Toys and Lab sets so they wouldn't feel inferior compared to the Neolemmix versions.

Hello guys! I'll be using this topic to share all of my custom tilesets for NeoLemmix. :D

I've included a preview picture of every tileset to show it's content. Tiles are on the left, steel and one-way arrows in the middle and objects on the right.
I hope I remembered to do everything. Every trigger area should be correct and all tiles should be there.
If you find anything weird, let me know!

I will update the images soon!

2. Sewer

3. Food

4. Snow

5. Cyberspace

NeoLemmix Levels / [NeoLemmix] Raylems Refurbished
April 30, 2017, 03:02:22 PM
Hello! I have finally converted Raylems into new format. I guess better late than never, right? Man, I can't believe it's been like 7 years. :8:()[:
I now call it "Raylems refurbished" as I also changed some of the levels up, tried to block backroutes and overall just tweaked everything.
I also took the opportunity to remake some of my old tiles, as they weren't really up to my current standards. I made sure to not change any tile silhouettes though, to not potentially break other levels that use them. Also, even though ive since changed my username to not start with "ray", I will keep using this prefix in the context of neolemmix to not break any old or future assets I may make.

Download from here:
https://www.ryemanni.com/filestorage/RaylemsRefurbished.zip
The zip includes all the levels, remade styles, music and sound effects the pack uses!

--Original post--

Hello everyone!

This is my first levelpack ever so it's not that big, only 30 levels. The puzzles might not be that mind boggling, but I still hope someone will get enjoyment out of them. :D
I made 6 new tilesest for this pack and I'm planning to make more in the future.

Download here:

Criticism, comments, replays and backrouting is always welcom! Especially I have only tested these levels myself. :D

Hello everybody! I've recently downloaded NeoLemmix and I have to say, I'm loving it so far! I'm actually working on a custom levelpack with custom graphics.
I have two problems though and I wish to get answers to them.

I've created custom traps and I noticed that you can change the sound effect to "Custom Sound 1-10". How do I actually manage these custom sound effects? I checked the FlexiToolkit but didn't find anything, or then I'm just blind. ;P
Then about the music itself:
Is it possible to assign a custom music to a level with the editor, or do I have to use the FlexiTool's "Edit Music Rotation" button when I'm compiling the levels to a pack? Wouldn't ssing a custom music roation would prevent me from using a specific music on a specific level? ???

Thanks you everyone, I'm having a blast with NeoLemmix and I can't wait to show you guys what I've created!

Lemmings Main / Lemmings 3 tilesets
June 17, 2014, 01:48:41 PM
I'm yet again working with a Lemmings fangame, and I would like to know if someone has ever ripped the Lemmings 3 graphics, and especially the tilesets. I would highly appreciate if someone had them, but if not, I will struggle with ripping them myself. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" class="smiley" />

Lix Levels / Raylevels
February 21, 2014, 08:11:50 AM
Hello everyone! http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" /> This is the topic where I will be uploading my own levels.
Please note that most of them requires the old graphics.

I got inspired by the Fun Fair level in L3D and I wanted to do something similar.
There are probably few different solutions.
