Great stream Simon, I solved that level the moment you ended the stream. We'll get it next time you stream!

I'm obviously up for this  I've always enjoyed the meet ups, problem with me though is my availability won't be great.

Out of the dates suggested I'm available on Sun 19th, Thurs 23rd, Fri 31st July, Sat 1st, Sun 2nd, Thurs 13th, Fri 14th August.

If later in August could be considered, I'm free both all weekend 15th/16th August as well as Sat 22nd August as I'm off work entirely those weeks.

Past meetups have typically been on Saturday and I'm guessing that will most likely be the popular choice meaning August will be best for me in that case (1st, 15th, 22nd). If worst comes to worst, I can always book time off to attend if other days are preferred.

With regards to location, I'm happy meeting up in Leeds again if others prefer that. I can make it to all the locations since I drive although Blackpool will be furthest from me (3 hours drive). Whitby is closest to Leeds and is by the sea, that one is most likely the best alternative for me.

(snip)

Be nice to see if we can get more people involved in this, these meet ups have always been a blast  :lem-mindblown:

I should be there too. Not working on all 3 of those days

Lemmings Main / Re: Lemmings plush toy

I have one from the original release wave, I brought it along to both UK meetups in 2023 and 2024 but now the batteries are starting to run out on it :(

Best of luck getting one, they must be getting hard to find

Definitely adding this to my "to play" list. Not as a NeoLemmix 30, a full playthrough

Thanks for sorting it out, I should point out that this also affects NeoLemmix and not just the community edition.

I have been having this odd issue where the music playing in packs with no music specified, it defaults to 3 tracks in the God Save the Queen music folder for some reason.

I recorded 2 episodes of NL30 earlier today and both packs were playing the same 3 tracks on a loop.

Silken helped me with this on Discord a bit and identified the tracks as
GSTQ1_Rule_Britannia.mp3, GSTQ2_Vera_Lynn.mp3 and GSTQ3_Andy_Williams.mp3

Things I have tried to fix this

- Deleted the mentioned music tracks above - result: no music plays at all
- Reinstalled the NL CE 1.1 RC - result: no change
- inserted a music.nxmi file which is in the /data folder into the required level pack folder - result: the music files in that file play, which is what should happen.

I did upload a video of the 3 music tracks playing on Fiat Lems which I used as a test candidate for this issue. Silken said that he was getting the orig rotation on those levels and as my video demonstrates, it plays the 3 GSTQ tracks mentioned above.

I'm also curious if anyone else is having this issue. I don't think this will be limited to just myself having this issue. Obviously it depends on whether you have WillLem's God Save The Queen pack downloaded or not most likely.

Lix Main / Re: Newbie with very basic questions
February 03, 2026, 11:23:43 AM
Just got distracted with the stuff going on in mobius's discord server: the archipelago sessions and Jackbox etc.
Recently took a step back from that though due to the late nights taking its toll on me. It's left me with not much to do now and I'm missing the gaming sessions now.

I still like to play Lix and I thought that the longer we leave it before a session occurs again then it will increase turnout overall. That's why I wasn't really in a rush to arrange another.

I will probably arrange another soon though

NeoLemmix Levels / Re: LemFan's various packs
February 02, 2026, 04:44:55 PM
I'm sure I'll be playing one of LemFan's packs soon.

All of the packs are in the pool for my NeoLemmix 30 series on my YouTube channel.

I have not encountered one yet and I pick a pack at random every time.

Only just noticed this topic myself and want to weigh in a bit myself.

First of all, welcome to the Lemmings/Lix community. It's nice to see someone who clearly prefers Lix to NeoLemmix, I used to be very into NL and still am for the purpose of YouTube content but my creativity has shifted to Lix and I mainly make multiplayer levels for our occasional multiplayer sessions.

I really like the 2 level images you have uploaded to the topic and feel these could make great multiplayer levels, they are big enough to make some interesting level scenarios.
Of course multiplayer has a very different design aspect, you are actively encouraged to make levels where players will meet opposing player Lixes on path to the exit, that's usually why a lot more level space is required.

I'm pleased you find the Lix editor more user friendly than other in game editor in similar Lemmings clones. I agree, I can make a multiplayer level so fast in the Lix editor and I think Simon has intentionally worked hard on making the editor so easy to use, the fact that it is in game too is a big plus.

On regards of questions asked in the topic

The diagonal up miner you speak of does not exist in Lix, there is a fencer skill in NL (NeoLemmix) which is based off the skill from Lemmings 2 The Tribes.

The splat height thing has been answered by others, nothing to add there.

You raise an interesting point about not being able to let Lixes fall in opposing directions to each other, walk left then right and so on. I can't think of an efficient way to do that without using opposing entrances (as WillLem said).
You mention using a digger to have a clumped alternate direction release but I know you want to achieve this without interaction most likely.

Tilesets have been lacking in Lix because Simon has maintained that they should be of a higher quality than those being made for NeoLemmix. Like they should be more symmetrical pieces which are divisible by 8 pixels in terms of their size, this is done to keep the ease of use in the editor.

The tilesets have to be made to a higher resolution than NL too, so that makes things more difficult.

You might benefit from joining a Lix multiplayer session if you are interested in that aspect of it also. Simon is almost always present at those sessions and you could benefit from talking in voice chat to him at the very least even if you're not interested in playing the multiplayer.

I should arrange another session soon, there hasn't been one since September now 😞

Just to confirm this bug has been fixed on my end too. Thanks for fixing

Glad to hear you're making more levels, I still really enjoyed Sweet n Sour Lems.

Let me know when you finish the pack and I'll definitely give this one a go!

Ok so I started a new series on my channel recently and I've had this bug occurring for a while since I downloaded the latest version of the player a few days ago and I thought as I got the bug replicating on video, I'll post this topic.

When I start the player, the full screen is off a bit of pixels to the top and left of the screen and it is displaying the desktop in this space. I show this on the video but I can fix this by turning off Full screen in the settings and press ok so it goes to windowed mode then I revert the setting back to full screen and press ok again.

Skip to 3:18 in the video to see this.

Possibly unrelated but I've also noticed the lemmings icons are overlapping the text underneath showing the pack name and author.

I'm on Windows 11 running 1.0.1 of NeoLemmix CE.
When I installed, I installed in a fresh folder but I did copy my settings files (hotkeys.ini, settings.ini, styletimes.ini) from NeoLemmix 12.14. I also copied over the music, sound, level folders but I let the styles download using the styles manager.
I do operate a 2 monitor screen set up also and NL CE loads on my primary screen.

I took the time to play this pack and recorded myself doing so. Well worth coming out of NL retirement briefly to do so I should also add

Some very good levels in this pack, I especially enjoyed solving Sour 5 and 6.

It's only one video of about an hour long, the pack was a good length I thought.

Please make more levels TomatoWatcher, these levels were a very good taster of what you're really capable of!  ;P
