Good job you had viewers watching your stream to say "actually you had to save 20/20"  :lix-evil:

IIRC isn't there a jingle that plays in level when you reach the goal save requirement? Shouldn't that suffice?

So I was recording NeoLemmix 30 episodes today and I encountered crashes during one of my videos. The video is not live until mid September but I did record another video replicating what I did. It does seem to happen pretty randomly but when I click to open a tree of levels, the window might sometimes freeze and if I were to click again in this timeframe, I'll get the (not responding) on the window top line. Pressing X on the window then leads to the NeoLemmix is not responding window popping up.

This happens when I clicked the God Save The Queen pack in the embedded video, it's nothing to do with that pack, it's just a random thing that happens.

Lemmini / Re: [DISC] Rewind button?

I'm still of the mindset that rewind is not needed. Just having a faster fast forward option is preferable for me.

I like that RetroLemmini preserves the classic Windows 95 Lemmings which I experienced and allows custom content, I couldn't ask for much more from this engine.

Thanks for your replays Will and I'm glad you think the converted levels are of excellent quality so far!

Spoiler
1. Back to Paradise - Nice 100% solution and trying to avoid bashers at the end for some reason.
2. 13 Little Stars - Again determined for the 100%, glad it's possible without too much trouble!
3. Welcome to the Highlands? - Not seen someone dig through the entry platform onto a splatform below before. It's always amazing how new methods come through in these early rank levels. Also 100% again :)
4. Cake Shop Visits - Usually other players come entirely from the right, you came from the left and then turned back to the left. Really thought you were going to go for the right hand exit which no one ever goes to. 100% also
I then noticed your 2nd replay which goes to the right hand exit, nice to see someone do this at last and save 100%!
5. In the Dead of Night - everyone seems to get the same solution for this one. Not much to say really
6. T-Shirt Level - that was smart mining into the metal support before the fire pit and one way wall, made a turnaround crowd less problematic! 100% again!
7. Lemmtris 3D - First level which wasn't 100% but I'm not sure if 100% is even possible so 79/80 is still great!
8. Party in my Head - 100% is definitely impossible on this one, interestingly Simon played this level on Lix yesterday and managed to not use the Blocker, made a double bridge surrounding the water pit on the right instead.
9. It's the Name of the Game - Wow first time I've ever seen 100% on this level, it's nice to know that it can be done. The save requirement is so low that you can just lose lemmings to the first pit usually.
10. Hurry Up and Wait - I can see why you provided 2 replays now after seeing the first attempt. The exit...

No styles to download, I remade levels which were not in the classics tilesets in the styles which are included in the RetroLemmini download, hence why it is "Classic"

Lemmini / [RetroLemmini] SEB Lems Classic (42 levels)
August 21, 2026, 06:42:56 PM
So I decided to make a Classic version of SEB Lems for RetroLemmini. It took over a week to convert all the levels in my other level packs which were compatible solution wise with RetroLemmini. Out of 373 of my NeoLemmix levels, only 42 made the cut, the main reason being that the majority of my levels don't stick to the classic 8 skills making a conversion to RetroLemmini not possible.

36 levels came from SEB Lems itself, 4 from Lemmings presents Gotta Go Fast, 1 from Modular Lems and 1 from MegSEGAbytes.

I have reordered the levels collectively by difficulty across 4 difficulty ranks: Paradise, Bittersweet, Stormy and Murder.
Each rank has 10 levels except for Murder which has 12 levels.

Paradise Level 10 "Hurry Up and Wait" (returning level from Lemmings presents: Gotta Go Fast - originally a Marble Zone tileset level)

Bittersweet Level 6 "Until The Stars Collide" (returning SEB Lems level)

Stormy Level 1 "It's An Automatic Lock-In" (returning Modular Lems level - originally a Raymanni Toy tileset level)

Murder Level 3 "Going Deeper Underground" (returning MegSEGAbytes level - originally Medieval tileset) - one of many Flopsy/Wafflem collaborations in the pack!

Murder Level 10 "Everything Falls into Place" (a classic returning SEB Lems level)

Download the music pack for SEB Lems Classic here. It contains 22 tracks and is 93MB.
SEB Lems Classic for RetroLemmini Music pack.
For the music pack download above, place the folder marked "seb-lems" inside your resources/music folder, the pack is programmed to use the tracks inside this folder.

Download the pack at the bottom of this post, the download also includes the solve replays. Extract the download to your RetroLemmini folder.

As the topic states, while converting my SEB Lems levels, this has been a grappling problem for the last few levels I've made. While it doesn't affect playability, it's more about how it looks. There is no option to disable the allow one way on the steel pieces, it is greyed out on steel.

This happens on the player if added as an external level and when pressing play level on the editor which I assume are the same player anyway.

Me too, I'm happy with the proposed idea we discussed on the Lix IRC. I'm happy to travel to Germany for this meet up.

Might need to invest in a new laptop before then if working on Lemmings projects side by side is going to be a thing though  :)

Lemmini / Re: [DISC] Rewind button?
August 17, 2026, 11:09:12 PM
I don't think a Rewind feature is completely necessary, I don't want to ruin the classic feel of this engine either and I think it should be preserved.

I think having to restart when making mistakes about 4-5 mins deep into a level is a little bit annoying because the fast forward is currently not fast enough to get there quickly and it occasionally results in me having to restart the level again because I don't even notice the fast forward reaching the point where I need to re-attempt. This has only become apparent today when making solve replays for my tougher SEB Lems converted levels for RetroLemmini.

1. Faster Fast Forward - this is the feature I'd support most, it kind of addresses the slowness of the current fastest fast forward speed.

2. Checkpoints - this is kind of moot if you are saving your replays at regular points anyway in case you accidentally click to cancel the replay too early or right at the start of the replay. This is probably a separate thing and it's never really been an issue for me personally.

3. Rewind to last assignment - this is the 2nd best option for me, there was a level where precision was ultra high and I think diggers are harder to place precisely on RL than on NL. Being able to return to the last assignment is a useful feature personally.

Again, I'll re-iterate. I am a native NL/Lix player but I don't wish the NL/Lix editing/frame stepping features to be brought into this. Rather something to fast forward through replays faster.

RetroLemmini 3.2.1

Skip to 44:10 and watch the left side near the Blockers.

I was hoping the miner would have freed the blocker but it got turned but it then just bugs through the builder bridge leaving no hole. I freed the Blockers to test this and the rest of the Lemmings passed over where the miner drowned.

It was a still a great meet up despite the smaller group, it felt more personal than usual.

I'm definitely up for meet ups, I'll keep my lieu days free so I can book days off if necessary although if we stick to weekends it should never be an issue for me for the time being.

I feel like meet ups should be more frequent personally, I feel like yearly is just not regular enough. I enjoy every moment hanging out with people at the meet ups, this is honestly the best community I've been part of.

I feel like we should definitely consider other cities for definite for the next meet up. As always, I am up for picking people up for the meet ups if it's remotely feasible, it was actually the first time that I gave someone a lift to a meet up this time (who probably wouldn't have been able to go had I not offered) and it was great fun talking about stuff on the way so I'm happy to do it for future meet ups if it means the difference between someone going or not :)

Bristol is a good initial suggestion, it's about 2.5 hrs from me though so I think it might be better if it was a multiple day thing. I also think Liverpool was a good suggestion from the previous topic but if we want to go down south to be fairer to those who live down south and find it difficult to get to Leeds, that's fine with me :)

Quote from: hrb264 on August 13, 2026, 07:58:13 PMThanks to everyone for a great day and props to Flopsy for giving me a lift up to Leeds from Nottingham and back, plus loads of bottles of water! I'd love to come to another meetup especially if you all choose to organise one further south. It was great to put names to faces - great conversation and company :)

You're very welcome, thanks for coming to the meet up. Like I said above, I'm glad offering you a lift meant you could attend as opposed to not attending. I'm sorry you got home really late though due to your train being delayed :lem-mindblown:

Great day today everyone, thanks for a wonderful day. Also very nice to meet hrb264 for the first time this meetup :)

The hot weather doesn't bother me personally. I'm prepared for a hot day tomorrow  :lem-mindblown:

Just to recap, we should be meeting around 11.30am at Leeds Train Station. It's looking likely that myself and hrb264 will be a little late, we'll catch up with you guys if you don't want to wait for us.

Looking forward to a great day

Just to update the thread, I'm now picking up and dropping off hrb264 before and after the meetup.

Hopefully we won't be late arriving in Leeds but we'll have to be going about 5.30pm to make her train from Nottingham.

Looking forward to it, it's going to be a great day

Out of the confirmed people who said they were coming, unfortunately you are located the furthest south, I'm next furthest around Nottingham. I could potentially pick you up/drop you off in Nottingham if that's any help to you.

Meetup is potentially from 11:30am-6pm depending on how the day goes.
