Unfortunately, our kitty "Cookie" has fallen ill. She hasn't been eating, doing much of anything, and is lethargic all of the time now. Being 16 years old, I should have expected this to happen. So, I'll be taking a sort of "leave of absence" for a while. Until when, I have no idea. I'll be announcing this on Discord at some point. Also, I won't be working on level packs until I know what's going on with Cookie. I'll eventually message collab developers regarding this as well. Thank you in advance for understanding.

Hello again, community friends! I am very honored to announce a new level pack in development by saba and me as well. It's called Lemmings Legacy, meaning that it's a reflection and celebration of several wonderful tilesets by different creators. And a celebration of the Lemmings games as well as the work done by creative developers for the tilesets that we all use every day. We'll pushing the use of these tilesets in this level pack to the maximum! The level pack uses a combination of tiles and other cool things to come up with one jam-packed lemming adventure for many to enjoy! The amount of levels in our new pack is yet to be determined, however, there are a lot of levels made for it already. Here are some 'early development' screenshots! Note: Level names and skill sets, as well as some other great things will be revealed when the pack is released.









There is no set deadline, we go at our own pace. Creativity is booming! You'll surely enjoy the levels and solution(s) that are intended. The possibilities are limitless. We hope that you'll keep an eye on our progress here and on Discord when we can possibly show you something. Most new things are a secret until we release the level pack. Excellent job to all level authors for their amazing work! I am so very happy to have won along side Dodochacalo, it was a really great time. Even though I kept telling everyone that I wouldn't win anyway, but it's all for good fun. I'd like to thank everyone for the support and really believing in me. UPDATE! I am very happy to announce that this WIP/level pack has been split up into two different level packs! That's right, two of them are now in the works. Meanwhile, this current expansion pack is on a slight pause until some things get figured out. And then I'll know what's going on with it when the time comes.

So, basically what has been done; the new, unnamed level pack is currently in active development. It doesn't mean that this one is going to be inactive for long. In fact, there haven't been any final decisions made about it yet as well as the future of the staff that will be involved. A brand new title screen layout and other graphics for the new level pack will be an exciting feature as well!

Having split up the level packs, this brings the level count back down to 15 out of 60 planned. saba, formerly named Velixi will be working with me intensely now as an equal co-developer for the new level pack, which allows for many more tileset choices and some interesting, different things that I am confident will be enjoyed by many.

I'll update the community with further news about this WIP project as it happens. Thank you kindly for your patience! Note, there will be a brand new topic made for the second level pack when we come up with a name for it.

So far we have 21 levels completed and two more are in development. Everything's moving right along! I will be looking forward to seeing and playing what you come up with. We hope to see you on Discord again as soon as you can be there. No rush at all and especially with the level pack. We're still going at our own pace, but sometimes it seems like it's a lot of fun to make new levels, etc. So we make them quickly, often.

Greetings, all! I would like to announce with excitement that Velixi is now working with us to make some levels for the pack. Her talent is greatly admired! Welcome aboard, Velixi! We aren't rushing the level pack as we work hard to make changes to basically everything to fully customize the level pack in NeoLemmix to the maximum. (Skill panel graphics, menu screens, etc.)

Meanwhile, I haven't heard from Armani lately, and I do hope he's doing well. The current status of the level pack is at 16/60 levels, as shown on the topic subject. Things are pushing forward. The progress counter will always be updated when I can get a chance to do that. Take care, all of you!

That's actually a really awesome level, Velixi! I only got so far in it, but I'll keep trying, even if it takes me a long while. I like the combination of tilesets used in this one. Great job!

I am happy to announce that Armani is on board to turn this into a collab! He has mentioned that he may not be able to get as many levels out as Holiday 2024 and as frequently. But it's awesome to work with him and I am very much looking forward to it. Thanks, Armani! I have always admired his work and chose to have him back so he may share his amazing talent again with everybody!

New stuff: It's a "go at our own pace" project, so I am not worried about deadlines or anything with pressing time. The original Holiday 2025 release target is no longer valid. This could even be released next year for all we know. But I wanted to get everything out there, it's excellent news! Save those lemmings now!

Howdy friends, fellow Lemmings Forums users! My good friend and amazingly talented go-to artist, Hello Mojo has made a Holiday Lemmings 2024 painting for me and it's wonderfully beautiful! I wanted to share it with everyone. She did a great job with it and I am pleased.

Just a friendly update. So far, there are 15 levels finished for this pack, all with pretty good solutions. I've been caught up in a creative block for some time now. So I am taking a short break and will return to development with a clear mind.

So, I have things figured out as far as music goes. I went ahead and announced a spoiler on Discord that the soundtrack will, indeed, be the original Lemmings soundtrack from what is known as the Canadian version. We refer to this game port for DOS - the Canadian version, because this particular version was released in Canada, as listed on the game CD itself. I need more information about this before I jump into it more, please!

I've finished the custom skill panel and numbers, added new sound effects, changed the font colors of the panel and menu fonts as well. Also, I've added a new background for before and post level information, and came up with a custom title screen including new graphics. I might change the main font styles, depending on whether or not I'll have 'more' trouble with doing it. I'm still learning. But that's about it for now. Take care, folks! Keep doing your thing!

Thank you, kind gentlemen, for weighing in on what I've said earlier. And the kind words! The thing is, and I'm being completely honest here, I can't solve harder levels at all. And I'm not alone here. I've even showed levels off of mine to friends around here locally and they don't have the slightest idea how to solve them at all.   Even some having experience with the original Lemmings game. This is why I made the YouTube playthroughs and added IchoTolot's to my channel playlist as well. I appreciate that he did an LP on Lemmings New Worlds! Thank you, IchoTolot!

The thing is, it does sadden me sometimes when my levels are seemingly too easy compared to others. I see a lot of other levels in packs that I play and I can't solve any one of their levels, which is fine by me. They're nice to look at! I do try, however. The Level of the Year nominations are beautiful, however, mine are so simple compared to the whole thing and I cannot solve any of the other levels except for just one.

That's a rather nicely assembled list, I must say. I just want to have the chance to say that I'm working very hard to make my next level pack Oh Wow! More New Worlds as difficult as I can make it. I've been reading reviews and listening to everyone regarding my level packs/levels featured in packs, etc. that they are just way too easy. I'm hoping to change that.

I've been watching playthrough videos, replaying the old Lemmings games, and reading topics/posts regarding the toughest level packs out there. Not that I want to make it too difficult for easy level pack players, but I want to clear my name once and for all of being an easy level maker with all of my work. I hope that everyone really enjoys Holiday Lemmings 2024 into the future, but without Armani, this one would be far too easy to complete like the others. I really appreciate him and his hard work.
