In Development / [NeoLemmix] Holiday Lemmings 2024
« on: July 25, 2024, 12:21:39 PM »
Ladies and Gentleman! For "Christmas in July" (today is July 25th, as you may know) it brings me great pleasure to announce a brand-new level pack that is on the way! A collaboration project currently in development with Armani! This is a Christmas level pack completely, and it's called "Holiday Lemmings 2024". Why, you might be wondering? Because this is going to be the 30th year anniversary level pack for Holiday Lemmings 1994!

There will be 50 levels total, and ranks are being sorted out while in-development. I want to proudly say that Armani is working with me equally on this level pack. Special thanks to kaywhyn for the support. Also, thank you to those who have developed NeoLemmix, including namida and Nepster, and especially you for playing. Obviously, NeoLemmix is what we'll be using to develop this level pack. It range from Easy to Hard in difficulty. The release date for it is set for December 1st.

Here are some screenshots of what you'll be getting into:

"Sky Castle" by Mobiethian

"Lems Are Playing Freeze Tag" by Armani

"Amphibious Operations" by Armani

"Your Gifts Are Over There" by Mobiethian

We hope that you'll enjoy this level pack when it's released! It can also be sort of an advent-type thing, so be sure to finish the night ranks by Christmas Day!

Question: So where's a demo of this? Answer: There isn't one being released, sorry. The full game will come out eventually. Don't fret! Merry Christmas in July!

NeoLemmix Levels / Lemmings New Worlds
« on: June 07, 2024, 10:51:16 AM »
Welcome to Lemmings New Worlds! This is my second level pack now and it's all about using 92Dexter11's beautiful, new tileset only. I am really appreciative to have gotten permission to use these styles in this pack. Thank you, 92Dexter11! As soon as I saw the topic about Lemmings Faithful https://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=6713.0 and the style release, I immediately jumped onto the opportunity to make a level pack of my own using those tiles/styles. There are 30 levels with difficulty ranging from easy to hard, 10 levels in each rank: Breezy, Windy, and Stormy. It wasn't my intention to make the levels extremely difficult, but you can determine that. It's different for everyone, I've found out. Also, I didn't want a large level pack, although, I may add onto this one later.

The level pack has been made with some difficulty in mind and doesn't entirely become progressively harder like most level packs, it's mixed. I believe that I have achieved some difficulty in this pack to a decent extent. There is often more than one way to get through certain levels. They all may not have reached the standards that some advanced players and experienced developers would expect. I apologize to you folks for this. Personally, I think the level pack contains many levels that are rather tough compared to my previous level pack.

Thank you again to 92Dexter11. Also, special thanks to kaywhyn for helping me to get this level pack completed by answering crucial questions that I've had for him again. Thank you to all playtesters and for your feedback!

Enjoy, folks!

Now presenting a 10 level demo of Lemmings New Worlds! My second level pack using styles (with permission) made by 92Dexter11 and they are beautiful! This is what gives the level pack its name.

With this demo, I am looking for suggestions, routes to take as far as difficulty and design, any ideas that can be thought up to help this pack along. Also, level name suggestions are welcome!

Download link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h5_yj7AqnDHdYYtq5nht5RcQfbbzMlMU/view?usp=sharing CLOSED, full game now released

A few previews (Names are subject to change as well as the levels):

"Golden Hills"

"Lemming Power"

"Broken Pieces"

The first playable rank is Breezy. There will be 10 levels in each of the three ranks planned and there will be 30 levels total: Breezy, Windy and Stormy.

Enjoy the levels! I am looking forward to your ideas and adding names to the list to helpers and to make the best use out of 92Dexter11's excellent community contributions. This forum is welcoming and helpful. Thank you for the help and respect! It's nice to know that there are still people willing to help out when it's needed.

Level Design / What are some tips for making difficult levels?
« on: April 05, 2024, 04:56:06 PM »
I am going to be pushing the difficulty meter, so to speak, in my next rank. I'd like to make it (as well as some of my existing levels) have more of a sense of difficulty.

Level design is no big deal for me at all, but trying to come up with a good, tough strategy or two for a level is where I am struggling. Any suggestions and ideas for level difficulty would be greatly appreciated! :lemming: ;)

NeoLemmix Levels / Lemmings Heritage
« on: April 04, 2024, 11:00:52 AM »
Welcome to the world of Lemmings Heritage! 40 all new levels to play with different skills and a classic feel the whole way through. My focus was to make this pack much like the first Lemmings, but with styles from Lemmings, Oh No! More Lemmings, Lemmings 2 and Lemmings 3. It seems to turn out great.

The adventure is yours to take, remember, the solutions are from easy to hard and are really fun to play over and over again when you know them. Difficulty of each level ranges, so pretty much it's not a pack that starts out easy and gets harder as you go along, it's mixed. There are 40 levels within two ranks; Smooth and Bumpy. A third rank with 20 additional levels will be added when time allows. ;) UPDATE: New download link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DR_JxCgZVUHiB6KnK4vOj02xe4SapJes/view?usp=sharing

I am looking for suggestions, level addition/solution ideas and overall feedback, please. That would help me in the long run. This being my first level pack, it's not going to be perfect in that aspect. :) I do plan to improve and add things as I work on more levels.

Many, many thanks to kaywhyn for the help throughout this experience. I would have never done it without the assistance! Also, many thanks to namida, not only for the development of NeoLemmix, but also for the introduction to the program and especially to the forums. You are all great! Special thanks to those who have helped in the topic that I've put up about the order of levels. That all helped a lot, thanks so much!

Have fun and never give up on Lemmings!

Edit: Changed the download link to the recent release

Howdy folks, I am still new here and still learning NeoLemmix. namida informed me to get answers on the forum - that it may be quicker.

So, I want to have my new levels go in a particular order. So far, NeoLemmix is seemingly throwing them into their own arrangement in the actual game and I don't know how to rearrange the levels.

I have been naming them Level01, Level02, and so on. Is this supposed to be different? Or is more clarification needed for this question?

Edit by kaywhyn: Moved Mobiethian's topic to the In Development board as suggested by WillLem with the prospective title Lemmings Heritage Demo WIP

3/18/24 Edit by kaywhyn: Per Mobiethian's request, the topic title has now been changed to Lemmings Heritage WIP
