When I've finished LPIII on my Youtube channel which could be at any time in the next month (hopefully!), I'll make a live playthrough of this pack if anyone is interested in watching that.
I was going to do Geofflems but it seems that has already been covered by namida and will also be covered by IchoTolot soon (from what I've read in chat).

Be nice to do a Super Lemmini conversion for a change

A Spot Of Bother, this one is definitely not a replica, I modified it because I came up with an alternative solution for it.

Arctic Lemming, this one is a lot more exact, added more stars for effect. The stars in Game Boy are not terrain so there'll be a major difference.

John Got A New Lemming, added the one way arrows to the left of the exit myself to prevent backrouting but the rest of the level is mostly spot on. Moved the trapdoors so it's not splat height since Gameboy requires you to float every lemming out of the trapdoors.

Pretty much all the levels are small vertical scrollers because the metal blocks in Crystal tileset which I was using to measure are much bigger.

Feel free to take these levels and modify them to your liking. I'll be keeping these versions for my level pack because I loved the Game Boy exclusive levels.

Hope this helps decrease your work load for the NES levels

I will probably adapt it, but I'm thinking more of creating a new thread for recreating the unique NES levels: by the way, some of them are almost equal to the ones I've already made from Spectrum.

Nice, I'll be interested in what you come up with for those levels.
I've remade 3 of the Game Boy unique levels but I understand the level contents of the NES and Game Boy version are identical.

I've remade the following.
Taxing 18 - Arctic Lemming
Taxing 6 - A Spot Of Bother/Mayhem 22 - Is that Lemming Licensed?
Mayhem 16 - John Got A New Lemming
I can post images if you're interested

Lemmings Main / Re: June 2016 Level Collaboration - Begins NOW!
« on: June 12, 2016, 02:23:30 AM »
Here is my version of the level - so onto Colorful_Arty's turn now

changes I made
- changed RR to 60
- greatly reduced skillset, no climbers, floaters or bombers
- changed save requirement to 38/40
- added an alternate route through the level with a visible trap
- added a fair amount of one way arrows and steel to the level

Haven't changed the title or music, I'll leave that up to the rest of you :)

I'm interested, it will be fun :)

Update: Synchronised v2

Removed one Blocker from the skillset, should force a change in the solution more towards the intended solution.

Always nice to see more Lemmings Youtubers, welcome to the forum Soljmolf

I've been considering doing a speedrun of the original lemmings game for a while now, it won't be anything tool assisted or anything. It would be just for fun and plus I've never done any speed running of any sort before so what better game to do than original Lemmings and possibly Oh no More Lemmings.
Just want to try something new and even if I don't do well, at least I tried it :XD:

Would anyone be interested in seeing that? There will be live commentary as always ;P

As far as I'm aware Colorful Arty

myself, namida and IchoTolot are probably doing videos on the contest levels. I think it's nice that multiple people are doing videos this time because last time it was only namida so we only saw his point of view and opinions towards the contest levels.
It would be nice to see these levels from many people's point of view on video, the more the better.

It feels like a mini community pack has come out for this contest :)
Can't wait to play them but I have to wait until Saturday and I'll have videos up by Sunday afternoon (GMT) hopefully

I just complete a level as I come to it no matter how hard it is because that's what namida has been doing and it works well for me too (mostly!) ;P

I think it's come from the fact that the Original Lemmings games (apart from Win 95 version, which allowed you to cheat levels) didn't allow you to open the next level until you completed the previous one. Plus if you're stuck on a level and have to give up on it then that level stays on your mind and you're thinking about it when you're not playing it and how you could solve it kind of like the Original Lemmings days.

I wouldn't say it's the done way of doing a playthrough, I'd say if you'd rather come back to a level later then do it that way. I think it's best to find a way that works for you and then do it that way.

To be fair to RTW, his channel had a restriction put on it making it impossible to put videos longer than 15 mins up so his Pimolems playthrough is less likely to be continued even if he wanted to. But yeah I know what you mean about that.

For anyone not aware, I am currently doing something a little different on my Youtube channel at the moment. Something which I believe hasn't been done in a live playthrough before.

I am attempting to obtain the LPI Talismans and capturing my live attempts. If I spend too long on one and haven't got any ideas on it, I move onto another one and come back to it later.
I may not get all the Talismans but for someone new to the Lemmings Plus series, it's nice to be able to understand the struggle behind trying to obtain them. Especially some of the tougher ones!

These videos have been popular so far and I do intend on moving onto LPII when I'm done with LPI.
For those waiting on more LPIII videos, I'm taking a mini break from that series at the moment to do a bit of Talisman stuff but I'll be back on it within a few weeks at the latest

Ok, I have made a big jump in the game today alone. I've done 3 and a half tribes in one recording session and they all came out glowing Gold

So I've now done Shadow, Outdoor, Circus and then went on and finished Polar as well in just over 4 hours :scared:

So now only Classic, Sports and Space remain.
Which should I play next?

I think for the submissions stage only, we should definitely change the rule from what it currently is. Either have a deadline set in stone and it won't change (option 1) which would be preferable for me but I'm willing to accept option 2 as well because at least it appeases both sides of the argument to some extent.

For the updating/playing phase, the rule should stay the way it is. I think level editing/updates are very important in contests and we should not put a time constraint on that at all.

It's only been a short time but I've got a few updates about the level pack.

SEB Lems has now hit 24/120 levels completed, including the 8 levels from the demo. It's slow progress but hitting the 20% mark is significant. There will probably be another small demo at some point but not until about the half way mark I predict. I haven't really got more level types that I need feedback on yet.

SEB Lems is going to have a wide variety of graphic sets in the level pack, I have used some custom graphic sets submitted here on the site already, used a significant amount of Tribes graphic sets as well as Original/Oh No graphic sets. I have even used a Lemmings Plus graphic set which I wasn't originally going to do but the level in question was perfect for it. 3 levels contain special graphics as well, 2 are completely Special graphic whereas one is a small addition to an existing graphic set.

Graphic set variety: 14 + 2 special

Another significant update is I have finally decided on Rank names for SEB Lems (it was hard to settle on names which weren't already taken :XD:)

Paradise - A Few Tutorial levels then mostly X of everything levels.
Bittersweet - Still easy, less skills to consume!
Revolution - So you want to take on the harder ranks? Do you have what it takes?
Storm - Harder Levels overall, ride the storm to the very end!
Murder - No Prisoners Now, Lemmings lives are at stake!

Deep Cuts - Extra level rank, mostly for levels which don't belong in the main game or in any rank for that matter ;P

The breakdown is as follows for each rank in terms of levels completed.
Paradise: 6/20
Bittersweet: 2/20
Revolution: 3/20
Storm: 6/20
Murder: 3/20
Deep Cuts: 3/20

Nice replays Dynalem, I didn't expect anyone to give these rehashed levels a try to be honest

I'm sure my videos are getting referred to here among others ;P

But yeah I think that would be a great thing to implement, I can't think of many cases where being unpaused after a short back frame skip is useful.

I would say after a long frame skip, leave it unchanged.
