4/4/23: it is now ok to video LP this pack again, the ban has been lifted.

Here I am with an unexpected release :)

v1.02
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Modular Lems is a 10 level pack which is themed around Toys and LEGO, these levels kind of got made along the way of my ongoing development on Lemmings: Gotta Go Fast, I was originally going to include these levels in a bonus rank of GGF but I thought they were better off broken off into their own mini pack since they are about as far as you are going to get from being Sonic themed levels!

It is very unusual that I am releasing a level pack this small which is practically unheard of for me :)

One benefit of doing this I thought would be to get some early feedback on my newer style of making levels since I haven't really released any solo levels since SEB Lems in 2017 (outside of contest levels).

I also thought this pack is also nice to play around Christmas time, even though there isn't a Xmas theme to the pack at all, it's more about the Toy theme but Toys are part of Christmas right? :)

This pack varies from an Easy difficulty to start out with up to a Hard difficulty towards the tail end of the pack.
There are 10 levels in this pack in one single difficulty rank.

Modular Delight (Level 3)

The Birth of Creativity (Level 7)

Special thanks to Nessy for being the sole tester of this pack, he did a great job.
Also special thanks to Lucia, Nessy and Wafflem, without their help and support this pack would not have been possible!

The music pack can be downloaded here, each level has a unique track

All 10 of these levels have never been seen before publicly on the forums, none of them have been entered in contests :)

Please post your replays in this topic and share your feedback on these levels, I am very interested in hearing what you like or dislike about them. Catching things I am doing wrong now will only help other packs I release such as Lemmings: Gotta Go Fast be much better in the long run.

EDIT: flopsy_special needs updating in order to play Level 4 in this pack, I'm working on getting this added to the styles download. In the meantime, it can be downloaded below.
EDIT2: The styles download has been confirmed to contain the up-to-date version of flopsy_special, I'll still leave it here in the topic for now but you can also just get it in the styles download now

I overlooked that somehow, I'll get the updated tileset added to the styles download.

In the meantime, it can be downloaded, in the first post :)
Sorry about that.

Personally I'd say the difficulty is easy-medium, there's quite a lot of fairly open-ended feeling levels, and the last level's challenge being optional makes the pack a bit easier feeling too. Level 5 was probably the hardest. I in general enjoyed it though I tend not to be into "large open ended level with lots of skills" type of things that make up a few of the levels here, the theming was really cute.

Here are my solutions to the pack. :)

I noticed that the starting screen on level 7 is not placed correctly on the hatch. ;)

I solved the whole pack.
I love the theme of the pack. Nice and cute levels
First half has open-ended levels so I don't think there're some serious backroutes.
My favourite level is "The Birth of Creativity". I think the level has pretty clever puzzle. I have a blocker left though.
Also I have some leftover skills for 8 and 10, so my solution is not 100% intended I think.
The hardest level for me was "The Jagged Staircase"

Replay attached! :D

Hi Flopsy,

Finally got the chance to play this small pack of yours, and I managed to solve all of them. Here are my replays. Yes, it's way past the holidays, but I decided to give this small pack of yours a try, figuring it might not take too long. Turns out it took a little longer than I thought it would, especially since I struggled with a few levels. Honestly, I think Medium-Hard is more appropriate for the difficulty, as even though the first several are open-ended, they're quite similar to probably mid-late Paradise rank. No LP here, as this IMO is too small of a pack to do one.

These levels were all wonderfully designed. I especially like what you did with Let's Play 2 - There must be more to life with 16 of the lemming skills in the sprites. Would had been even cooler to do all 19, but that's just me :P

Another level I like the design is Let's Play 3 - Modular delight. I like the structures, although this level is somewhat difficult, considering it isn't as open-ended as the levels around it.

Let's Play 4 - The Big Cheese I kind of predicted that it would play "Yeah." When it did indeed play, I wasn't surprised, as this reminded me of the houses on fire level from SEB Lems, particularly with how the buttons are in the buildings. It's especially cool how there's one in the bus as well. Is I Am Cheese the actual name of a bus where you are, or just something you decided to call it?

My favorites were Let's Play 7 - The Birth of Creativity and Let's Play 8 - More toys in the attic. These were really great puzzles. I like how in the former that with the pickups it's still a 1-of-everything level. Really nice no builders/platformers level, with the stacker as the only constructive skill. Somewhat easy to medium for the difficulty. For the latter, very nice solution. A little difficult, but not too much. I just love how the solution comes together. Nice job here :)

Sorry to say it, but I wasn't too much of a fan of Let's Play 6 - I am ATypical part 2. It's definitely a nice variation of the I Am AT style levels, but honestly there's too many of them around now, and this one took me the longest to solve. Two of the skills may be plentiful, but they run out really fast. It's quite difficult to figure out how to get to the top with the bottom entrances. Knowing myself, I likely overcomplicated the solution. Luckily, I did enjoy some of the levels beyond this one.

The only level I might had backrouted is Let's Play 5 - The Leg Up Programme, as I have a skill leftover.

Overall, I enjoyed this small pack, and nice job with it. I will give your collab pack a try sometime in the future, and I'm definitely more excited about GGF's release now ;)
