The Lemmings quiz thread!
« on: December 18, 2005, 10:01:55 PM »
Just a bit of forum fun this. Basically, I'll start with a quiz-style question about lemmings, and the next person to post must answer it, and provide a question of their own. So if I ask "What colour is the hair of a lemming?", the next person should answer "Green", and below their answer they would ask a different question. The subject has to be Lemmings related obviously, but it can be with any game in the franchise (Including spin off's like Lomax), or even the creation of the games... Just as long as it's related somehow.

Of course, there's the slight chance that someone may answer incorrectly. If you notice this, just point it out, and state what you think is the correct answer with a question to boot. If there's three incorrect answers, then the original person must reveal the answer and then post a different question.

All well and good? 'kay, here's the first one.

Q.The Holiday/Christmas Lemmings games were released on three formats, two of these include DOS PC and the Commodore Amiga. What was the other format?

Macintosh (though, sadly, I never managed to pick up a copy).

Question two. Which is the only level in (Amiga) Lemmings with a title entirely in lowercase?

Q.Which Lemmings game names all of it's showcase levels in the "Just [Skill]" style?

(What happened to the previous question, Ahribar?)

EDIT: Gah, ignore me! I just checked, my answer's incorrect.

"All the 6s", if you play a version that includes that level.

Revenge question: Name all the Tricky 21 levels in the different versions of Lemmings.

- "All the 6's" for PC, Amiga, Atari ST, Mac, 3DO...
- "Don't leave any lemmings" for Sega Genesis and Megadrive
- "Ohayo Lemming San!" for Super Nintendo
- "Going Their Separate Ways" for Lynx
- "Sixes Not!" for Sega Master System and GameGear

I don't know the other ones!

Q. What are the 2 levels where hidden water appear in the pipes for the Amiga and Atari ST version only?

Answer to Jazzem's question:  Lemmings Revolution

I don't have the Amiga or Atari ST versions of Lemmings, so I'll let somebody else answer DragonsLover's question.

Slight correction: the Mac version also has "Going Their Separate Ways". (I didn't know the level was on another version too.......)

This is a guess, so I'll wait for confirmation, but is it We are now at LEMCON ONE and its "copy"?

Yeah Ahribar, it's "We are now at LEMCON one" and "Poles Apart" where we can see water at the left of the level in the pipes.

Q. What is the special thing about the release date of the first Lemmings? Tell me the date and the special event!

Isn't it my turn after I got one right?

But anyway...... the date was 14 February 1991..... I don't know what's "special" about that, other than being Valentine's Day; is that what you meant?

Now, my next question: Which is the only Lemmings level to have a hyphen in its title?
