Some good lemmings TAS videos I have found
« on: June 13, 2019, 07:04:55 am »
I made this thread to post some very good lemmings TAS videos I have found. There are already some very good TAS videos that have been discussed in the forum ( by Lord Tom and Gronkling ) , but these are very good too imo , so I decided to post them . These have been made by the youtube users Snc76976 and Yoko ma. Both have made their videos on the snes version , the first one for several levels on the Mayhem and Sunsoft rating and the the second one for the Fun rating and for Tricky 1 - 15 until now.

links for the videos:

Great finds! I haven't seen these.

Most impressive I find Snc76976's The Far Side (Mayhem 12), youtube with timestamp. He found this in 2010 already.

Insane timing with two separate workers and the crowd. Both workers climb slowly in the wall, the crowd y-slides, and the first slow climber finally bashes the steel to free the y-sliders.

Thanks for sharing!  I've only looked at Snc76976's so far but they are definitely video-worthy, featuring the kinds of solutions you'd expect in a Clam replay of challenge solutions.  Additionally love the clever uses of SNES/Amiga-specific physics in some places.  Also I kinda like the names he gave to the glitches used, like "the wall zip trick" for what we more pedestrianly called here "the sliding glitch". ;) Will definitely check out more of his work when I have free time.

Wow. That's some good stuff
I might just go and watch them at some point for my own amusement rather than anything else since I cannot perform dark sorcery

Completely agree! Also one thing I like in videos like these is that they have the old school "create your own route" vibe , that most challenge solutions have ( of course the high amount of skills most of the original levels offer , definitely helps on that )!
