Lemming Level List Game

Okay. What we do, is, going from Level 1 Fun(Just Dig) all the way to Level 30 Mayhem(Rendezvous at the Mountain), we post one good comment and one bad comment about each level.

The first poster(me) posts about the first level, the next poster about the second level, and so on.



Level 1 - Just Dig
Good Point: It makes a good introductory level to the game.
Bad Point: It is impossible to lose, unless you TRY to lose, or don't know how to play.

 Fun 2 - Only Floaters Can Survive This.

 Good: This level introduces the player to the use of floaters.
 Bad: Why does it give five minutes? You couldn't even make it last one minute if you wanted to!

Fun 3 - Tailor Made For Blockers
Good: This level has quite a few different solutions.
Bad: This is the first level you can get stuck on, resulting in the Nuke or Esc key being required(unless you wait until your time runs out).

Good: I really like how this one is designed, the thin bars across the poles gives a nice effect, the plat form for the exit stands out as well as mathing the tiles with the exit, also the left and right of the main area give a sense of symmetry to the level...

Bad: If you think about it it seems out of place from the previous level which is definitly harder than this level, since you really don't need to use your brain at all in this level, the unimaginitive title of the level seems to fit the no-brainer aspect of the level

Intersting fact about the level above:
one of the levels of Mayhem (No Added Colors or Lemmings) is actually the same level, but with less skills.

There are many levels like that in Taxing and Mayhem.

Another good point about 'Now use Miners and Climbers': It is the first level in the game that needs 100%


 Fun 5 - You Need Bashers this Time.

 Good: You can do a lot of pointless bashing in the diagonal mesh.

 Bad: It can be quite boring waiting for all the last lemmings to exit when the route is made.

Fun 6: A Task for Blockers and Bombers

Good: This level has a nifty solution in the PC version that allows you to clear it with only one bomber. Also, that "box" where the fire comes out near the entrance is cool.

Bad: Is it possible to only save 20%? I mean, you really can only lose 10 lemmings total and clear the level unless you waste 5 minutes or something. The save percent could be brought up to 80% without any solution changes.

Fun 7 - Builders will help you here
Good: Quite an original design, especially the pit.
Bad: It's quite easy to get stuck if you don't know how to work builders properly.

Good: Beautiful Scenery
Bad: Stupid level

Wait a sec...this won't be at all fair to the people who aren't past very many levels (I'm at tricky 13) .

Fun 9: As long as you try your best

Good: None
Bad: Release rate is 99, which is annoying

Fun 10 - Smile if you love lemmings
Good: Beautiful scenery for this level too
Bad: A little bit too hard for an easy level (isn't it?)

Fun 11: Keep your hair on, Mr. Lemming

Good: Teaches you how to maneuver the arrows
Bad: The lemming climbing on the left wall makes it look tedious

Fun 12 - Patience

Good: Luckely, there's already a stair over the first gap, but it's a small level anyway. Also, it's easy to block the lemmings at the left of the trapdoor.

Bad: Release rate 99 and it's a little bit difficult to give the builder tool to a lemming in the second gap.

Fun 13: We all fall down

Good: Clicking exercise
Bad: Tedious, and for the CD version of lemmings, you just have to wait...sigh... :-(
