Lemmings Main / Re: NeoLemmix music

I found this info, surprisingly, on a playlist of songs from the Tandy version by VintaGamers Paradise. And it's no surprise it took me so long to find this; the videos have less views than mine somehow, even though it's a relatively well-known channel. After looking further into it, other sources agreed with the names, and I found on the Cutting Room Floor that these are the names given to the tracks in the sound test on the DOS version. Though it does mention that these are more descriptors of the tracks than actual names, they are the closest we have, and they are the only way to identify a song that plays at different times in different versions, other than cumbersomely listing where it is on both sequences.

Just want to point out that, while the "Oh-No!" soundtrack isn't derived from any older tunes, the tracks do appear to have actual names beyond "Track 1," etc. or whatever level they are first heard in. This information is useful for discussing these tracks I think, because they play in slightly different orders depending on the version. They are as follows:

Track 1 - "Very Cute"
Track 2 - "Wacky"
Track 3 - "Patronizingly Happy"
Track 4 (Amiga/Mac)/Track 5 (ST/DOS) - "Much Joviality"
Track 5 (Amiga/Mac)/Track 6 (ST/DOS) - "Not At All Serious"
Track 6 (Amiga/Mac)/Track 4 (ST/DOS) - "The Smiling Blues"

You can find the ROM online and you must play it in MAME. There is a pause button, but it's the same button as fast forward. It cycles between fast forward, pause, and play.

I'm aware this topic is old by now, but I've found the first ever recorded longplay of the arcade version on YouTube today; check it out if you wish!

Perhaps I'm a bit late to this (it has been far too long since I've checked the Forums), but welcome, Ky! You sure did share a lot about your Lemmings experiences! :lem-shocked: I hope you enjoy your time here on the forums. :D I registered here a little over a year ago (and I seriously haven't been as active as I should be), but I can confidently say that this is a very nice community of wonderful people. To be honest, I only found out about this game at all a couple years ago, but I'm glad I stumbled across it so I could find this community. I really do think you'll fit right in here.

I can relate to being more of puzzle-solver than a puzzle-creator (even though I'm not very good at either to be honest). I've tried playing level packs and haven't gotten far in any (both because I'm not good and due to time constraints and technical issues), but I've had a lot of fun playing them, and there are plenty more to choose from. I've only ever released one level for a contest, and let's just say it wasn't very highly voted. So, as others have said, there's plenty of room for puzzle solvers. :D

Also, about the floppy disks. I'm only 15, so I couldn't have remembered them, but I certainly know a lot about them, as well as the systems they ran on (I consider myself a bit of a retro geek).

Anyway, glad you're on the Forums! :D

Hey, no problem, IchoTolot! I'll be sure to make my next video more entertaining, now that I know what I'm doing, recording wise :D. I should warn you that these videos will not come out quickly. I am a high-schooler with poor time management; I can't keep a schedule :(.

For those who are not yet aware, I have started a Let's Play of IchoTolot's recently released level pack, Lemmings United! :)

As for my other videos, I will continue doing FamiTracker Covers and Music Comparisons (not just for Lemmings :lem-shocked:). As for my currently running LPs, I will definitely continue Super Mario Bros: Chaos Control, as I am having fun with it (even if I'm terrible). As for Lemmings 1, well... if I may be honest, Lemmings games are much more fun blind, and they don't have much replay value in my opinion. In addition, there have been minor technical issues and other things going wrong with it. So, I think I will cease the L1 LP, unless enough people really want me to continue it.

I guess that's all for now. Hope you enjoy, and have a good one! 8-)

So, I just got FamiTracker, and I am really enjoying myself. I started working on covers of Lemmings VGM. This is my first one. It's the Medieval Tribe's theme from Lemmings 2. It only uses the vanilla 2A03. Hope you enjoy!

I may be able to squeeze out one more video today, but after that, I also will be inactive for a while. :sorry:

THANK YOU!It's definitely one of the hardest versions of the game to access. I'm so glad you could find it!

Lemmings Main / Lemmings PC-98 ROMs?
« on: December 14, 2018, 01:44:55 AM »
This is just a desperate attempt to locate the ROM for the PC-98 version of Lemmings. I can find the ROMs for literally every other version, but not the PC-98. I have looked everywhere and sifted through so-called "complete" ROM sets, but I have no clue where it could be. If anyone here could tell me where the ROM is, or can even upload the ROM, that would be wonderful.

Any chance you could upload some of those sound files? That would be very much appreciated.

It gives you bonus time after the first level you clear (either after starting a game or using a continue).

Oh, it wouldn't be so bad. Besides, I enjoy making lists. :) You'll just have to wait a while.
