The PS3 applies shaders over the level with different dynamic lights for this reason you are ok when say the level was darker,
that's the original level without any post-processing shader.

The levels on the PS3 are this way and a copy of the same level in n-map, then apply effects to both.

They are in 128x128 blocks on the GPU, then you have to save one by one, normal and normal map blocks,
and make the big one image, it's a lot of work.

It has gpu shaders, path finding,etc... and now is crossplatform, for play in linux only do
"sudo apt-get install xxx" or with "synaptic" and install the complete monodevelop runtime.

it's complicated to marriage speed with pixels only by watching
normally i count seconds in psp to dig and try to implement on mine

my lemmings walks little bit faster than psp,it's the way xna update all 60 times second
basher is quite similar than psp
climber i think is slow too
floater falls 3 pixels too,etc.
i do all first watching and counting time and all need more precision i know but i have troubles
because i don't know exactly when and how much to erase, build, move etc.
