[DISC] New game mode: Save as many as you can!

I have an idea for a new game mode. It's inspired by Snooker 900, a repid-fire version of snooker where the games are limited to 15 minutes per frame, 20 seconds per shot, and the idea is to get the highest score you can in that time.

What I imagine is that each level will appear for a set amount of time (e.g. 2 minutes) and the player saves as many of the available lemmings as they can in that time. Once the time is up, the next level kicks in. There could be a limit of 8 levels per game, and a "par"  - an expected number of lemmings that can possibly be saved in the given time - to measure the player's success (although this could be optional, or not a feature at all).

I haven't yet fully fleshed out the idea or really thought about how it could work in our existing engines, so this topic is here to discuss the possibilities. If you're interested or have any suggestions, it would be good to have your thoughts on this.
