Game is asking for install disk in dosbox

I need help on how to fix the thing where its says "Insert Disk 1 and press any key". even though Im trying to play it in DOSBOX. Can anybody help please?

It's the first one, but I can only get it to work on CGA, which looks bad, and kinda hurts my eyes.

I'm trying to play it via DOSBox v0.74.

Is that the one where the colors are all messed up on the level preview screen? I fixed that issue by configuring something in the DosBox config file.

Apparently, I can't get to the options menu.

C drive => Program Files (x86) => DosBox => DosBox Options.bat. Should open in Notepad when you double-click it, but if not, you can right-click and open with notepad.

I checked my file, and I believe I changed the machine line to emulate svga_s3, which I think fixed the weird color issue. Try that out and see.

Now I can't seem to play it, I typed in c:/cgalemmie, and it exited the game saying I needed to insert a disk. I said in the machine line: "svga_s3, cga, hercules"
and now it refuses to let me play.

I think it can only accept one value for any of the lines in the config file. Have you tried removing either svga or hercules and leaving the other value in that line?

All you have to do is just hit "PlayNow" to start

Hi again!

Ive been tackling tribes of lemmings and now completed  Surf lem in Beach - for some reason it will not save - have tried to save as usual, re load, exit, re open it etc but keeps taking me back t to Surf lem and showing next level not available.

any advice?

hi helen, I just played a little bit of the game. I also completed "Surf Lem". "Surf Lem" is actually the 10th and final level of the Beach Tribe. So after finishing this level, there won't be another level after this one. Each Tribe has only 10 levels. That's why it won't list the next level; Because there is NO next level after this one
in the beach tribe. Also when one completes the last level in each tribe it will say "Award Me". And one can save the game even after completing the tribe.
I saved the game after finishing the beach tribe, getting the piece of the Talisman, exiting and reloaded the saved game. And it does still show that the beach tribe was completed(part of Talisman gotten).

oh right, der, that was a really silly question, wasnt it? -  I didnt realise I had reached the end of that tribe (is first tribe I have tackled ) yes  I noticed the Award me button and it still didnt click why.

thank you for answering my question - off to start another tribe now......

However most people now play Lemmings using Neolemmix.


also Superlemmini(Too) is used more than the Dos set.

Even I don't really play these anymore.
