OK, I'm actually rubbish at music, it turns out, so this was probably a bad one for me to set. It's gone on for too long now, but I didn't recognise any of the albums, so I'm going to give it to Gronkling for looking the most like the album itself (I looked at them on google :P).

well done guys..

Thanks! I only recognised mine as well really.  :P

Turn this squiggle into something in one minute. The most creative wins.

I've attached a (bad) example.

Ok, this is more a joke than an actual entry in the challenge, but I can't help myself. :P

Wow Jason, that's pretty awesome! :o 8)

Anyway, I decided to be a little more serious and see if I can come up with anything entry-worthy.  I soon find out that squiggle can be a very annoying shape to work with.  After hours of doddling, this is my defiant attempt to break out of the confines of that shape.  I don't really know if I can draw the thing in under a minute even with practice (but I think it's feasible), I certainly didn't bother.

I purposely put the original squiggle in a shade of red so you can still see that it is actually there in the picture.  The idea is that the whole thing is supposed to be just black and white.  The ball in particular was supposed to be filled all black, so that a small part of the original squiggle that interferes with my picture effectively gets hidden by the shading of the ball.

So yeah, Jason's entry totally pwn'ed my pathetic attempt, but hey at least I actually tried this time. :P

I'm liking cc's first one, but I think it'll be difficult to beat Jason's.

Have a nice rock formation with perspective inconsistencies :):

It's refreshing to see that there are apparently a good number of ways to turn the squiggle into something other than a face, without resorting to the massive extra bits of drawing I did.  When I was doddling, the thing that really peeved me was how the squiggle kept seeming to force me into making some sort of face out of it, with some parts naturally fitting the curvature of a mouth or a nose (and not much of anything else I can think of).  Except the squiggle is oddly-shaped enough that inevitably when making a face out of it, the face will look somewhat deformed in parts. :-\ :P (Yeah, yeah, go ahead and say out loud what you're thinking:  I might've avoided a deformed face, but my girl looks like a deformed mutant anyhow.) At least for an artistic dummy like me.  Clearly not for Jason. ;P

Since the topic lacks activity, I propose a more free-spirited approach. Look at the most recent image posted to this thread, and draw something loosely associated to it. Associations may be as abstruse, far-fetched or nonexistant as you wish. You may participate any number of times.

I shall post the inspiring image and then an own contribution.

Hello dear moderator! I wish you a good day and would like to greet you from both me and geoo. You are welcome to participate in this free-shaped game. It'll blow our minds out of one ear and back in through the other. Nobody loses!

Aww, nobody replied within a few hours. I mean c'mon, you gypsy bums aren't that lazy, are you?

Simon urged me to bump this dead thread with a display of my lack of artistic ability, so here we go:
