Having tested LemRunner, the level select menu icons do not show there either, despite them being in the pack's files.
Also just to clarify, I am using NeoLemmix v12.4.4. Perhaps it was possible to change levelinfo_icons.png in a past version?
The latest version is currently 12.12.4, which you can get here: https://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=5673.0

Sorry, 12.12.4 is the one I meant, I'm just terrible with numbers. :'(
But yeah I suppose this is just arbitrarily impossible? Hopefully it's an oversight that Namida can fix.

In United the sign for the level select panel is called: "sign_level_select.png"    It needs to have this name.

I was actually talking about the icons seen in the level select menu (levelinfo_icons.png), not the level select panel itself. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

I've been making custom graphics to put in my level pack folder. Most of them, such as the main menu panels and skill panels, show up fine, but for some reason the icons for the level select menu are only showing up in vanilla form.

Is this a bug/oversight, or an intentional restriction? Seems kind of arbitrary considering how much else you can change.

704x400 works like a charm! It does have a different problem of leaving a little bit of unused space at the sides of levels built with the default screen size in mind, but this is a very minor nitpick, and won't really matter at all if I make my levels slightly wider to compensate. Big thanks! :D

Of course, it would still be nice to have the old screen size available as an optional feature, but 704x400 will definitely do for now.

You can set the window to any desired dimensions by going into the "settings" file in the settings folder. It helps to know that default level height is 160, and the skill panel is 40 pixels tall, so you will want the play area to be a multiple of 200 tall, or 400 if you use high-res.

Thanks; this is actually really useful and I didn't know about this. Setting it to 640x400 clears up the skill panel issue perfectly fine.

The menus, however, still have awkward unused space at the top and bottom of the screen. More of a nitpick on this side of the things, but it'd still be nice if it could be fixed. Perhaps an option to zoom in the menus to prevent unused space from cropping up? I feel like it'd be a nice addition given that the left and right sides of the menu screens have a lot of unused space anyway.

While many of the new features in more recent versions of NeoLemmix are welcome additions, I'm personally not too happy with how the widescreen is handled. In older versions with the 4:3 screen, you could comfortably have both the main game and compact skill panel in a consistent 2x zoom, but doing so in the recent versions causes default height levels to not fit and require vertical scrolling.

This can be remedied by manually stretching the window, but this creates unappealing black bars on the menu screen, as well the fact that it's difficult to scale the window manually in general. Personally, I'd really like an option to re-enable the old 4:3 style, to both get rid of the black bars on the menus and allow for easier skill panel access.

I didn't know Neolemmix supported "normal" formats such as MP3 and Ogg, that's a relief to hear. I just assumed IT was the only usable file since all the default music files in the game are IT files.
Thanks for the help and hopefully I should be able to get my own MP3s working. :D

What exactly are IT files, and how do I use them? I'd like to create my own using some of my own songs, but I couldn't find any tutorials anywhere.

Ah, right. Well it's good to know I can include custom graphics in my own pack if I want to in future.
Thanks again for the help, it all works fine now with the new assets downloaded

Scratch that, It's still not working correctly.
On the level preview for Objects & Functions 1, it displayed untextured objects and shot up an error message about missing styles. Shouldn't those styles be included in the level pack? And if not, how do am I supposed to access them? ???

I downloaded/unzip'd the updated pack and put it in the levels folder; it now works completely fine. :D
Thanks so much for the help and info. I'll try to make tutorials I use in future are more up-to-date.

I'm new to NeoLemmix and I'm having problems loading a level pack. Despite following Nepster's manual to a T, whenever I try opening an nxp file with the NeoLemmix player it just spits out an error message and loads up the "no pack" screen.

Just to clarify, the pack I'm trying to load is the NeoLemmix Introduction Pack. Does the pack have to go in a specific folder? And if so, which one? ???
