Now up and running:

The Lemmings Encyclopedia

Features:

  • a quick way to find a solution to a lemmings level
  • information on the lemmings games
  • demos and clones available for download
  • and more (to come)...

Go to The Lemmings Encyclopedia and find out if you like the website and spread the word. You can leave comments on the site using a form.

NB The Lemmings Encyclopedia will replace my other website, The Lemmings Solution. It will go offline within the next two months, please update your bookmarks before that.
Lemmings 2 The Tribes for SNES can be played with the Super Nintendo mouse.

Lemmings Main / Re: Lemmings 3 movies

Beyond maybe spelling, I don't see why.
Uhm, what about bugs. Various bugs found NTSC-versions of games are not there anymore in the PAL-version of a game.

BTW, mine is called All new world of Lemmings instead of Lemmings Chronicles.

It's the same thing. You're just playing the European version instead of the US one.
Oh yes I know, but sometimes there are a few small changes, apart from the resolution etc....

Heh, since I never owned an original copy, I never even knew it HAD cutscenes :P

I will see if I can find a complete version somewhere.
Well, there is a game intro, there are also intro's for every of the three tribes and there is an outro.

I still have the CD-ROM, although the game works very slow using DOSBox.
BTW, mine is called All new world of Lemmings instead of Lemmings Chronicles.

Help & Guides / Re: Armageddon in SNES or Genesis 2-Player
« on: February 02, 2008, 06:35:45 AM »
After a small search on the internet using Google, I found the following text:

You may notice that there is no Lemmings Bomb option available on the
screen.  If you have come to a draw or would like to restart the level,
both players must move their cursors to the green and blue bars in the
middle of the screen just above the Lemming icons.  When this task is
performed, the colored bars will turn into a Lemming Bomb icon.  Both
players must press their “A Button” twice simultaneously to “nuke”
every Lemming on the screen and thus, end the level.

I have no idea (after all, I don't even have the link to the Wayback Machine handy!), though I would be somewhat surprised if the Wayback Machine is the only archiver out there. &#A0;Though maybe the Wayback Machine is the most comprehensive of them all?

The link to the waybackmachine is http://www.archive.org/

You can still find the VTM Software website: http://web.archive.org/web/20020122105640/http://vtm.hypermart.net/ but not eveything works anymore.

As far as I know, the first track of the Lemmings 3 CD-ROM contains a data-track, all the other tracks are Audio-CD compatible.

I think it looks horrible myself. It all looks so un-lemmings and the whole thing is a scramble of sprites that are ugly and don't go well together. I also hate the PSP d-pad, and I would hate to use it with Lemmings. Horses for course of course.

If I had/was getting a PSP though, it would be the first game I'd get.

Exactly, Lemmings games have to look like a Lemmings game, not like a modern style 2D game.
