The slow walk speed is only noticeable if you were to try and beat levels, in under the original time limit. Take Mayhem 12 (The Far Side) for example. It has 6 minutes in the PSP and 4 minutes in the original. If you were to try and beat this level in under 4 minutes in the PSP, you're going to struggle a lot. Because PSP Lemmings don't walk as fast as the old Lemmings :lemming: does. The Far Side is one of the hardest levels in the PSP to beat in the original timer. It's possible and I have done it but very difficult. Most of the other levels can be cleared easily in the original timer.

Hey long time no see everyone.   The last time I was logged in was on July 21 2018. I came back because Lemmings PSP turns 20 this year. I was 17 years old when I bought it. It was one of those games I played so much. I was one of the few people who talked a lot about it in this forum.

I also played Lemmings PS3. It was the first game where I have gotten a Playstation trophy. The game was an attempt at making a new Lemmings game without the old classic levels. I enjoyed it for what it is but thought it could have been better. There were only two backgrounds.

About the special graphic levels. The design of those levels were inspired by other games. Like "Shadow of the Beast" for the Amiga. I don't think Team17 have the license for those games, so they didn't gave those levels unique graphics. Unfortunately this made "What an AWESOME level" easier. While I love the PSP version it does have some problems.

1. Lemmings walk slower. They increased the time limit on the levels to compensate. Mayhem 16 now has two minutes. Despite the slower walk speed, it's still possible to beat most of the levels under the original time limit.

2. The release rate for "All or nothing" is 10 instead of 99. This made the level easier.

3. The terrains they added in some levels made the level easier. For example "Tightrope City" was just a straight line in the original. Now it has wood below it. A bomber can explode and the wood will save the Lemmings from falling to their deaths. You don't even need the umbrella in "Postcard from Lemmingland" because the grass on the pillar will save the Climber from killing himself.

There's more but it would be too long. Anyway happy 20 years anniversary for the PSP Lemmings.  :birthday:

Lemmings Main / Sony's Problem with Lemmings
July 21, 2018, 09:44:29 PM
Here's an interesting video about Sony not successfully handling the Lemmings IP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VL0qUxVbhM&t=3s Do you think Lemmings would get more love if it was ported to more console and handhelds? This is one of the best puzzle games ever and it should make a comeback.

I've the EU version :'(
That's unfortunate but you can try these: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/psp/928435-lemmings/saves I don't know what those levels look like because they didn't work on my game.

I just remembered I made DOS versions of the PSP special levels a long time ago:

"Back of the net!" took a lot of work. I'm glad that's over. :lem-mindblown:

Levels for Other Engines / Re: PSP user levels

The online server for the PSP Lemmings is gone but I think you can still share levels through the computer. Keep in mind that this game has a region lock save meaning a European save file will not work on a USA Lemmings. Even if you change the name of the folder to match the ID of your region you will only get a corrupted file. My Lemmings is the USA version so if you have that you can probably play my Sega remake levels. You need to have the 8th slot empty because that's where it was saved on. http://www.mediafire.com/file/qss77eq6t5bad61/UCUS98647LEMBANKSLOT08.zip I do have levels that I created and are not remakes of old levels but most of them are poorly made because they were made for me to play and not other people after the online was shut down.

Challenges / Re: Undamaged Levels (ONML etc.)
January 06, 2018, 05:46:04 AM
All of my pictures are still saved in Photobucket and can be downloaded and uploaded to Imgur. That's a lot of pictures though because I also have this thread where I made PSP versions of other people's levels: https://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=1415.msg36266#msg36266

It looks like there's a quick fix to this. There's an extension that people can download to view those blocked pictures. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IKpfgteV6M

Thanks. Unfortunately photobucket made it impossible to show pictures without paying them so the pictures in that thread are blocked. It ruined my posts.

I haven't been here since 2015. I found out my undamaged thread is gone. :lem-mindblown: I wanted to see the list of the impossible levels to beat. That was a really cool challenge. It brings back memories.:XD:

- release rate on Mayhem 3 should be 99, shouldn't it?
Mayhem 3 in the PSP has a 50 release rate which is weird. Is the vshot the game? Because I get this error when I try to open it since I have a 32bit Laptop. I wanna see the digging speed. I already installed monogame 3.2.

The PSP Lemmings doesn't have unlock all but it lets you start off with five levels in Fun, Tricky, Taxing, Mayhem and Special. When you beat one level a new one is unlocked and if you skipped one and beat another, a new one is still unlocked and you can keep going from there. I'm not the type that likes to skip levels. If I'm stuck on one I'll stay there until I beat it.

A. 215 years ago there was a level called all the fives and turned into all the sixs in 1900. It will become all the sevens in 2100.

I learned the hard way that editing and saving a video a lot decreases the quality. Did you ever noticed that 240p videos look worst then before? I think one of Youtube's updates ruined that quality.

10 years and people still don't read the description box before asking a question. Pathetic.

Tech & Research / Re: PSP graphics

There are some terrains from the real levels that are missing in the PSP editor, like the brown terrains in the Crystal levels and the red roofs from the Roman. You will have to use something else for that brown terrain, like the rocks from the Fire style.

I found a video of someone that has ripped all the PSP levels and is playing it in Lemmini: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ER_KrPdS6o It's not what you guys are looking for though. Maybe you can ask him to rip the editor pieces?

You can download the rips here: https://mega.co.nz/#!OYtQBZbY!C0MXxi7X2-cZmAChkU6NcWQgsz1jzD_TMMcHD4ExV5I

What I'm shocked about is that he even made rips of some of my Sega level remakes. :lem-mindblown: He must have downloaded my Sega levels here: http://www.lemmingsforums.com/index.php?topic=799.0
