Fun 19 - Catch More Floaters

10 Climbers
10 Floaters
1 Bomber
1 Blocker
1 Builder
1 Basher
1 Miner
1 Digger

Save 9/10 (90%)
RR 20

Good: a fine level for teaching a number of new disciplines, such as using your skills sparingly and saving the maximum number of lemmings possible.
Bad: this level almost seems out of place amongst the other Fun levels.
Better than "Take good care of my Lemmings"? - Yeah, although it doesn't look quite as good.

Bad: It can hardly replace the "proper" 16 Fun
You think 'Don't do anything too hasty' is better?

Fun 21 - Lemmings in the Attic
 Save: 80/100
 Time: 3 minutes
 Release rate: 10
 Skills:
  Bashers: 4

Good: Nice use of the graphics set.
Bad: Too simple, even for this point in the fun rating.

Tricky 09 - Where do you see Lemmings?

20 of everything

Good: interesting level design - reminds me of a multi-storey car park for some reason - and a slightly tighter save target.
Bad: shame there weren't more of those furnaces to avoid, really.

If I remember correctly, that level partly inspired my 'Kentucky Fried Lemming'.

 Tricky 10 - Keep Step
 Save: 49/50
 Time: 5 minutes
 Release rate: 50
 Skills: 10 of everything

Good: A fun and varied level.

Bad: I couldn't think of anything, so Louise said it looked kind of ugly.

Yes, and my "Through the Lemmyrinth".

As for 16 Fun, I well remember first looking at it and thinking "This is surely impossible!"....... and the Genesis 16 Fun could never give you that at all.

But many of those builder-heavy levels seem intimidating when you first get into the game don't they? I remember when I first had it on the Amiga finding levels like "If Only They Could Fly" and "A ladder would be handy" very difficult, let alone levels like "Steel Works"!

Anyhow, Tricky 11 - Let's go to the moon!

Good - another visual gem: I like the fact that the MD version has more levels in the blue style than the original game. A beautiful visual style.
Bad - a bit too short. Some more obstacles to get through would be nice.

It wasn't that..... it was the layout. I could easily see how to get across to the big pillar thing, using the spikes as stepping stones, but how to get up it?!? It didn't occur to me -- at least not at first -- to do one big bridge. Once I'd worked that idea out, IOTCF and ALWBH were both really easy when I got to them.

Tricky 13 - Salvage Boat

12 Builders
1 Basher
2 Miners

Save 30/30 (100%)
RR 01
5 minutes

Good: nice, compact design. Also the first level where you have to make a bit of effort to reach the required goal of 100%.
Bad: Just like the later level "Lemmings Ark", it doesn't look that much like a boat.

OK; they're now getting hard enough that the solution isn't completely obvious from looking. On both the last two (and several later ones) I think I know the solution, because they're not that hard; but since I don't have the opportunity to test it on the actual game, would you guys mind if I post my solution and you can tell me if I'm right?

On "Go out for a walk?" obviously the difficulty is finding the right places for the five diggers. I make it: (1) into the irregular shaped area at top right; (2) out of this area; (3) into the X-shaped area at bottom right; (4) at top-right of the middle X-shaped area; (5) at bottom-right of this area. Then climb, block and bomb the corner of the square block.

.....right?

I think I'ts possible with 4 diggers if you dig (1) a bit earlier and cut out number 2 in your solution. they sould survive the fall.

Pressing on:
Tricky 21: Don't leave any lemmings

Skills: 30 Blockers
&#A0; &#A0; &#A0; &#A0; &#A0;30 Bombers
&#A0; &#A0; &#A0; &#A0; &#A0;30 Builders

Save: 25/50 (50%)
Release rate: 01
Time: 9 mins

Good: You're forced to use Bombers to destroy bits of the terrain. It also looks cool
Bad: The title. Honestly, why have a title like that when you need to loose lemmings to finish the level.

P.S Ahribar, if you want to play these levels you could download Gens and the Megadrive lemmings rom.
You won't be able to use the mouse though.

Or he could wait for me to finish my recreations of the levels.
