there is one issue with neolemmix... unafortunately :(

the game doesn't accepts midi/mid files, which sucks :lix-glare:

i know i can convert a midi to a neolemmix compatible format but the problem is that the converted version sound really different...

so yeah what i mean is that i think midi/mid files should be accepted to be used for custom neolemmix levels

See this for an explanation of what MIDI essentially is, why it's different from other audio formats, and why adding support for it isn't as simple as adding the file extension to the existing list.

With that said, you're not the first person to request MIDI support in NeoLemmix and you likely won't be the last. In the linked topic, namida mentions BassMidi as a possible solution for MIDI support in NeoLemmix, and it may be time for someone (me!) to take a look and see if it can be done.

I've added it to the long-term to-do list.

Wow this reminded me of the fact I want Lix to support MIDI. Wow I really hope Lix gets MIDI support too some day.

Whilst MIDI support should still be added even if this issue was fixed due to file size and the waste of time to convert it, you can make the converted files sound the same if you use the same soundfont as what you want them to sound like. Go research what a "soundfont" is.
