The London Bombs
« on: July 07, 2005, 04:22:25 PM »
//After a rather long absence again, I've finally got back to some normality.

I'm shocked at the 4 bombs that hit London today. It shows that the threat is still evident. My thoughts go out to everyone affected

It's truly tragic. I've been hearing about it on the radio all morning. I'm glad I don't live in London. Sympathy for those who do. :-[

Just heard about it. I don't live as near to London as I used to, so that's a good thing, right.
What is the world coming to?

It's also the G8 summit as well. There were 4 blasts, in rather quick sucsession over London. It reminds me of when I was caught up in the Manchester bombings nearly 10 years ago.

I haven't heard about this yet until just recently.  I just now heard a little about it from my sister in an email.  She is in London right now and she is safe thank goodness.  That kind of thing seems more common these past years  : (   .

Yeah, I watched this too on TV. I'm shocked too. >:(

In Canada and in Quebec, some of the people was afraid if this could happen here. But the president said that this wouldn't happen. But who cares?

The death toll has now gone up to at least 50. This sort of thing is what gets plastered on the front page of every single newspaper around. First America, then Spain, now Britain. Who's next?

I watched it on my local cable news channel and they show it 4 times per hour (every 15 mins or so) they said there were 3 subway bombs and 1 double-decker bomb X_X . Suspiciously, they had a zero-hour on 9/11and a Modern Marvels on doomsday on the history channel yesterday... :x they're making it seem like the end is near...but it probably is NOT the end of the world yet...

Basically G8..means the group of 8...it is pretty much a bunch of word leaders who sit in a room ( Canada a Prime Minister Paul Martin, France a President Jacques Chirac, Germany a Chancellor Gerhard Schr&#F6;der, Italy a Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Japan a Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, Russia a President Vladimir Putin, United Kingdom a Prime Minister Tony Blair, United States of America a President George W. Bush)

basically this year's G8 was mainly to do with poverty in africa and climate change...thats about it really
