Player V1.30n-D, Editor V1.30n-C Released
« on: March 11, 2015, 01:19:56 PM »
Well, another update! This update adds support for all previously-unsupported Cheapo object types (except gravity changers), as well as fixing a couple of bugs, mostly relating to Cheapo content. Aside from that, the converted versions of all "official" Cheapo styles are now included with Cust, Flexi and the editor.

Please note - although the end result should be the same, there were some fairly major changes to the behind-the-scenes code for teleporters. Please let me know if you encounter any bugs, or even simply differences in function compared to old versions, relating to them.

Player V1.30n
-------------
* Most of the Cheapo-exclusive object types are now supported; the only
exception is the gravity changers. Hints are also not supported, but
they are uniquely identified as hints, and won't be displayed in-game,
this is so that they can be made to work in the future without needing
  to be re-converted.
* Receivers now work more similarly to in Cheapo on levels which have
  Cheapo Mode enabled.
* Fixed a bug where a teleporter would get "stuck" if no corresponding
receiver existed if Cheapo Mode is active.
* Cust and Flexi now include all the "official" Cheapo styles.

Note that to properly use the new object types when converting Cheapo styles, LemSet V13 is needed. The same applies to using certain ones in custom styles.

Moving from older versions:
If upgrading from a version older than V1.29n, you will need to use LemMain to convert the MAIN.DAT file from the older format to the V1.29n+ format. You do not need to do anything with MAIN.DAT when upgrading from V1.29n or V1.29n-B.
All other files should be fine without any modification.
As always, it is highly recommended you re-test your levels with the new NeoLemmix version.

As for the editor, the changes are very minor (apart from that Cheapo styles are included with it now); pretty much limited to proper display of trigger areas on some types of objects that wouldn't display properly with the old editor.

Editor V1.30n-A
---------------
> Now includes NeoLemmix-converted versions of the "official" Cheapo styles
> Handles trigger areas on two-way teleporters and single-teleporters correctly

CheapoCon has also been updated. The update is only nessecary for levels that contain two-way teleporters; all other levels will be fine as-is.

V1.30n-B update for the player is here.

Player V1.30n-B
---------------
> Fixes the flicker when changing options on the config screen
> Fixes the glitch where miners are one pixel lower for a frame when they hit one-way or steel during certain frames of their animation
> Fixes a bug involving animated (but not triggered) exits, in particular those in the Rock style and in converted Cheapo styles

Same links as before. The Lemmings Plus games (and Doomsday Lemmings) will all get official updates to this version, mostly due to the exit bug (in particular it affects Lemmings Plus I).

Released a very minor update for LemSet. Updating is not critical - it just adds support for directly saving/loading files in the g_XXXX / v_XXXX naming scheme, to remove the need to manually rename these.

V1.30n-C update. This update is only for Flexi; all others remain on V1.30n-B.

V1.30n-C (Flexi only)
--------
* Fixes the glitch where random characters are added to the end of some
title screen texts in Flexi packs.

Editor update, V1.30n-B. Finally, the long-requested "classic Lemmix Editor delete" option is here (and it's now the default setting, though if you preferred how NeoLemmix Editor's handled things for the last millions of versions, there's an option for that in the Settings menu). Aside from that, improvements to one-way-wall rendering.

Note that any change to the delete mode option won't take effect until the editor is restarted.

Editor V1.30n-B
---------------
> Displays one-way arrows in NeoLemmix levels more in-line with how they're displayed in-game.
> Adds a "classic delete" option, which doesn't leave empty slots.

While we're at it with a flurry of updates...

Player V1.30n-D
---------------
* Adds an option for fixed skill shortcut keys, rather than positional ones.
When using this option, the shortcut keys for skills become:
    F3 - Climber       F4 - Floater       F5 - Bomber
    F6 - Blocker       F7 - Builder       F8 - Basher
    F9 - Miner        F10 - Digger         3 - Walker
     4 - Swimmer        5 - Glider         6 - Mechanic
     7 - Stoner         8 - Platformer     9 - Stacker
     0 - Cloner
* Removes the "test mode setting" option in Cust, as this can be configured
  from the editor now.
* Fixes a glitch that causes the config screen option changes to not display
  under some circumstances.
* The skip level key in cheat mode has been changed to 1.
* The default percent option in CustLemmix is now the cloner-adjusted percents.
* Encrypted data (such as save files) from different packs will no longer give
glitchy results; they will simply not load.

The default shortcut keys will be the positional ones on any existing save file, but the fixed ones when creating a new save file. Either way, if you'd rather change the option, it's in the config menu. Which now works better than it did before.

Also, note that (and this is only the millionth version to do this xD) the V1.30n-D players incorrectly report their version as V1.30n-C. However, V1.30n-C doesn't actually exist (except for Flexi), so you've got the right one if it says that.

Editor V1.30n-C
---------------
> Fixed the reintroduced bug of solid black being treated as transparent.
> Fixed transparency issues in some Lemmini graphic sets.

Usual links. There's no changes to any of the INI files, so if you've made custom changes to those, just overwrite the EXE (without replacing any other files) and your changes will be maintained.

Uploaded LemSet V13.3. This will be the last version that intentionally maintains any kind of support for traditional Lemmix; beyond this version I make zero guarantees of LemSet output being compatible with traditional Lemmix or DOS. The only new feature in this update is that object animation frames can now be horizontal instead of vertical in the source BMP (or PNG) file.

For this reason, this version will be kept available even when new versions are released.

With that being said, one of the big reasons for this is that I'm going to make an entirely new graphic set tool, which will be more user-friendly than LemSet. Therefore, more so than "a new LemSet version", it'll be "an entirely new graphic set tool". I'll probably do something similar for MAIN.DAT as well, although LemMain isn't quite as difficult to use as LemSet.
