[BUG] [EDITOR] [FIXED] Trigger area incorrectly displayed
« on: February 08, 2016, 08:33:32 PM »
Status: Fixed for the next update. Relates to graphic sets that contain images at resolutions other than standard (most commonly, those converted from Lemmini). The editor would appear to be resizing the image correctly, but failing to resize the trigger area.

Look at the Egypt exit in the editor and let it display the trigger areas. The trigger area is displayed where one would expect it, if the exit would be twice as large. However this is misleading, because the actual functional area is absolutely correct.
The same happens for some of trigger areas in other L2-sets as well (e.g. sport) and is not exclusive to exits.

This is already known to me.
It happens to all L2 styles I converted over from Lemmini (Shadow, Egypt, Sports, Castle). The trigger areas are misplaced, because the resolution needs to be altered from Lemmini to NeoLemmix format. Usually the sizes for the triggers needs to be doubled to get the NeoLemmix fomat if I remember correctly.

I don't know: When I'm making the single-colored background update in the future I can try to make the sets again from scratch as a exact duplicate with NL format from the start on (of course only if this doesn't affect levels that have already been made + would be quite some work again :(). But I dont know if this will work :P
Maybe only the objects need to be remade, but this needs to be tested out (Had some trouble with the conversion back then and was just happy it worked at the end ;)).

The trigger areas that are misplaced could also be an editor bug that misplaces from Lemmini converted trigger areas.

This is way too much work for fixing such a little bug. If one only has to change a few values in the object stats, then I would appreciate fixing this (or if the bug is in the editor), otherwise leave it as is.

As I think more about this....I am closing in on the thought that the bug is in either the Graphic Set tool or the Editor as the trigger area doubbleing is nessesary for the conversion (as it works normal in the game again), but maybe displaying them regulary with half the value in the editor is not been taken into account yet. ???

It's an editor bug, and I'm 99% sure of what will be causing it. I'll look at it next time I'm working on the editor.
