If you want to do this but cannot close it on your own, just reply asking us to do so and we'll do it for you. To avoid doubt, what you call the new topic is entirely up to you.

no... i think we're done here. this topic is getting unrelated and way more unfocussed... and i just dont even care at all... i don't wanna lock this topic but the issue was the name... so yeah i think we're done discussing about the name of this topic... :'(
in fact... i don't even know anymore... there is a bright side in all places but why are we focussing on the dark side... the name it the problem...

Quote from: Silken Healer on October 24, 2026, 06:12:11 PMNo. "X-tralems" isn't the name of any real corporation. If your using it as a stand for "lemmkeev20's" why not just say that? Also if it is, this includes non-nominal packs, which Namida did say you can make a new thread for. It's more accurate then your previous title I guess, but why can't we just use my name "lemmkeev20's levels/nominal packs"? That name is objectively the best name.

thats the joke... :forehead:  making up a name for my pack with corporation, i know it isn't real but it would be funny :crylaugh:

well im working now on a new level for this contest and X-tralems (no promotion)

and this is how it looks for now:

im using namida_candy and minim_cake for this level
8-)
(note that this level requires a song when its finished which is this candy-cd (AKA one of the candy versions of 3D lemmings)

edit: its already done

plus im really exited to see people publish gameplay of my submittion of the contest :excited:  :excited:  :excited:  :excited:

(like i've already said (note that this level requires a song when its finished which is this candy-cd (AKA one of the candy versions of 3D lemmings) so you can remember)

btw these are the rules i followed

QuoteRule 2 (kaywhyn) - Happy 35th Birthday, Lemmings!:

* Make a level depicting a birthday cake and 35 Lemmings (as a way to represent the candles, putting in the candles themselves is optional).
* Pre-placed Lemmings and cloners are allowed and count in the total, as long as the total is 35 exactly.
* Save requirement is anything goes.
* The solution needs to involve the cake in some meaningful way.

and it was from this contest

Quote from: Silken Healer on October 23, 2026, 10:17:48 PMI think "lemmkeev20's one-off levels/nominal packs" should suffice.

i don't really know... i think we should think some name ideas and them make a poll to add the name ideas to the poll...

and the winning name becomes this topic's name

thats a great idea isn't it? ???

if not, i think we should think name ideas

Quote from: Silken Healer on October 23, 2026, 08:41:20 PMMaybe but that name implies that levels/packs outside of "random levels" and "X-tralems previews" won't be posted in this thread (e.g. the final finished "X-tralems" pack and collections of levels nominally called "packs") and and if you make a new thread for them Namida probably won't like that if that happens.... Although making a new thread for the final "X-tralems" finished release is to the best of my knowledge in accordance with the rules in the rules thread and Namida's own statements; as long as he doesn't deign the final finished release of the "X-tralems" pack a "nominal" pack. In fact if the "random levels" in your title includes "nominal packs" then that name should follow all the rules Namida has set out actually to the best of my understanding.

ok... ill think of a better name :smug:

Quote from: Silken Healer on October 23, 2026, 02:16:52 PMShould this thread be renamed to "lemmkeev20's levels/nominal packs", seeing as "X-tralems" seems like it's the name of a specific level pack, and then Simon designated this thread to be a lemmkeev20's levels/nominal packs thread, should we rename this thread to that for the sake of clarity as the thread is no longer just for the "X-tralems" pack any more?

i don't really know, i think i should re-name it to

X-tralems previews and random levels... is this name better?

Quote from: Silken Healer on October 22, 2026, 03:20:31 AMWhilst MIDI support should still be added even if this issue was fixed due to file size and the waste of time to convert it, you can make the converted files sound the same if you use the same soundfont as what you want them to sound like. Go research what a "soundfont" is.

ok but not now

Quote from: WillLem on October 21, 2026, 06:40:32 PMWith that said, you're not the first person to request MIDI support in NeoLemmix and you likely won't be the last.

wow i didn't knew that :lem-mindblown:  :lem-mindblown:

Quote from: WillLem on October 21, 2026, 06:40:32 PMIn the linked topic, namida mentions BassMidi as a possible solution for MIDI support in NeoLemmix, and it may be time for someone (me!) to take a look and see if it can be done.

I've added it to the long-term to-do list.

luckily this can be the chance

Quote from: WillLem on October 21, 2026, 06:40:32 PMSee this for an explanation of what MIDI essentially is, why it's different from other audio formats, and why adding support for it isn't as simple as adding the file extension to the existing list.

i mean i know what a midi is :forehead:

it is a audio composed by piano modules or smth

also i forgot to mention that i also love the "a shot in the dark theme song" version of lemmings :excited:

yeah... that explains why i did and made this post... :forehead:

(this isn't a big issue/accident/case of lost media but still it is needed)

i need your help...

so im trying to find where to download the early prototype build song of the amiga version of lemmings beacuse i wanna use them for my pack named X-tralems (no promotion)

but there is a problem...

i can't access to the vengefulchip website...

AND THEY ARE NOT EVEN AVAILIBLE ON THE KHINSIDER WEBSITE  :forehead:  :forehead:  :forehead:

so thats why i need your help, im trying to find the standalone, mod/it mp3/ogg or wav versions
of the early prototype demo version of lemmings... :'(

and if you do... please share them in this topic so we can have the standalone mod/it/mp3/ogg/wav versions of this tracks forever

nevermind

unevermind, there are 6 song left

which are:

a shot in the dark theme

i tell the rest later beacuse i forgot the other ones + the one that i really wanted was the a shot in the dark theme :lix:

uneverunmind...

5 of them are left but i dunno... i already got the a shot in the dark theme atleast :tal-gold:

there is one issue with neolemmix... unafortunately :(

the game doesn't accepts midi/mid files, which sucks :lix-glare:

i know i can convert a midi to a neolemmix compatible format but the problem is that the converted version sound really different...

so yeah what i mean is that i think midi/mid files should be accepted to be used for custom neolemmix levels
