Account deleted, posts deleted.  If you have his PMs then delete them.

As of now I do not know the motives, but he MAY have been a bot.  I can't say though, as he PM'd only certain members.

However, he probably was.  I believe I'm going to upgrade us to the unstable SMF 1.1 RC3.  It has a new CAPTCHA feature (random code generator and you must fill in them) on the registration page.  I should be able to soon.

EDIT: Unless... SUNRISE. >=(  Could it be?

Thats interesting... I wonder if this was steavers work then, I got the PM too, and never clicked on the links :tongue:. Is there any way of telling if it was steaver, and can you see everyones PM's he may have pm'ed everyone, but some people didn't notice yet?

There is no way to see who got PM'd.  That's why they're "private" messages.   I myself did not receive anything in my PM box.  Let's hope no little kids did, because I can't do anything to get rid of it.

No way of knowing if it was Steaver also.  Remember, he used a dynamic IP.

Dude, I'm so glad I only had to mess with lags. ^^

Propably that's why I had no problems with bots. Everytime they came the server timed out. xD

Yeah.

Well anyway.  Upgraded to SMF 1.1 RC3.  It's got a CAPTCHA on the registration screen and it seems to kill bots from what I know.

This button you speak of, if I am thinking of the same thing, it is a "Quick Edit" button.  You can edit your post right in the topic view.

btw, you can look in your box, you just should delete one called "URGENT MSG FROM ADMIN"
