Lemmings smilies

As it was mentioned the current ones show better expressions I ask you now, do you want the old ones back or keep this ones?

Keep both I say, like you say the current ones do show better expression, but I do love the lemmings ones, they fit the forum theme and make the forum feel more unique.

I'd put the lemmings smilies in the 'more smilies' menu, and keep the original ones where they are.

I prefer the Lemmings smilies. I don't really see a need for the generic ones, personally.

Keep both...

Btw, with a new forum, why not trying to do new lemmings smylies. I know that there's already yours and these of Mike. But, why not?
I like dragons! They're the center of my life! I'll never forget them...

Well here's my dreadful, five minute attempt at a Lemming smiley!

The hair needs a load of work (Pixel hair is a NI-I-IGHTMARE!), and the size is a little large looking at it now, but I'm sure we could build something from that, even if it is more of a womble with green dyed hair :P

I also thought of making new smilies. I'll give it a try. You others can try, too. ;)

;D ;D ;D That certainly makes for an excellent "LOL" smilie--I still can't stop laughing as I'm writing this! :P

Anyway, keep going on it. &#A0;It is kinda cute, just needs a mouth to complete it.

Is it really that bad? :(

Or are you just finding it funny to look at? :P

But yeah, I'll fiddle around with it. I can do a little pixel art, but don't ask me to do big things or animate stuff! The womble head of the lemmings mean that it's impossible to make the mouth visible from there though. I guess I'll just have to put the expression in the eyes as with the old ones.

Well I don't know, I just know that I started laughing when I saw it.  I don't think it's bad, more that maybe it looks goofy since it's a 5-minute attempt and looks so different from what we've seen before.

And the size isn't too big, I think it only looks big because you have that huge gray box around it right now.  The head itself is only slightly bigger (well, taller) than the standard yaBB smilies.

Suits you sir!

I've had another twiddle with the sprite, although not with much success. I know it doesn't seem too big, but the problem with large smilies is that they push the text above them upwards, which doesn't look quite right. But in trying to make it small, it's lost all of it's lemming look, so I may have to keep it the current size. I'll still edit it though, I can't keep the worryingly angular hair there.

[size=12]*coughmakedefaultfontsizelargercoughcough* ;)

(Though to be fair, size 12 probably won't help with this. &#A0;Then again, even the default YaBB smilies also push the text up already, and back in the old boards the smilies also do the same, so really, I think we can live with a little imperfection.)

Ok then, I'll just edit the hair and do some emoticons.

And Andi, that's brilliant! Reminds me of Harvest Moon for some bizarre reason.
