G'evening fellow Lemmings fans.

You remeber the ROM Hack of Lemmings Colour Palette & Level Title Fixes for the Sega MegaDrive/Genesis I done months ago.
I decided to give the Super Nintendo version the same treatment. with some other changed too. :lem-mindblown:

What are those changes you ask?

Well for those who got the SNES Lemmings games for the  NTSC-U and PAL regions. You noticed there were so many changes to some level due to Nintendo of America's censorship laws. I found a way to restore the original levels that were stored in the ROM which was absolutely mind blowing. I gone and restore them so you can play those levels.

I also taken upon me to also rename ALL the 5 SUNSOFT levels to what they are called on the SEGA MegaDrive/Genesis version.

=================================================

CHANGES AND FIXES:

Dirt levels no longer the pale brown look and now a rich red and golden yellow just like the Amiga version.
Yellow Pillar palette now match the Amiga version, now a proper golden Yellow rather than a bright lemon yellow.
Blue Crystal palette now matches the Amiga palette including the very dark one now black rather than BG blue.
Red Hell Fire Levels showing more reddish grey rather than a yellowish grey like the SNES retail version, Blue bricks are more Aqua Blue than a purplish blue..
Marble Levels now Pink and Lavender blue rather than Beige skin colour & purple.
SUNSOFT Intro at the start is now Blue gradient with SUNSOFT logo now Gold rather than Pink gradient and Silver.
The Game Title has improved a lot, Now a Mid Green gradient to replace the pale Light Green.
Improved the Level title & results writing palettes to be more like the Amiga Version.

LEVEL TITLE FIXES:

Level 17 Tricky – Diet Lemmingade
Level 28 Tricky – Lost something?
Level 3 Taxing – Heaven can wait (we hope!!!!)
Level 16 Taxing – Marry Poppins' land
Level 11 Player 2 – Just for fun or to the death?

ALL SUNSOFT LEVELS TITLES RENAMED TO THE ONES SHOWN ON THE SEGA MEGADRIVE/GENESIS VERSION:

Level 1 SUNSOFT – Two heads are better...
Level 2 SUNSOFT – I am A.T.
Level 3 SUNSOFT – Private room available
Level 4 SUNSOFT – Final impediment
Level 5 SUNSOFT – Lemmings' Ark

RESTORED LEVELS THAT WERE CENSORED BY NINTENDO OF AMERICA:

Level 21 Tricky – All the 6's ........
Restored Level 16 Fun & Level 3 Taxing level to show HEAVEN than PARADISE!
Level 24 Taxing – Take a running jump..... Has it's original level layout restored to show DEATH rather than TERMINATE.
Level 17 2 Player mode Map is restored.

"NOTE: Do NOT patch this Hack with the Lemmings v1.0 or v1.1 USA Revision ROM or the Lemmings Japan ROM. it will not work. You MUST patch this with the Lemmings Europe PAL ROM."

I can confirm this ROM hack is compatible to run on real hardware using the SD2SNES Flashcart on a real Super Nintendo Hardware on a SNSP-CPU-1CHIP-02 motherboard Revision .

G'day, Long time no post.

I been doing this ROM hack project for a bit and decided to look into fixing the colour palette for the Sega Mega Drive port of Lemmings to fix the colour Palette on there to make it similar and match to the Original Commodore Amiga colour version. And It's now available to Download from ROMHacking(.)net. It's the v1.1

What I changed in the colour palette:

INTRO CUTSCENE COLOUR CHANGE
GAME TITLE SCREEN COLOUR CHANGE
CHANGE TEXT COLOUR PALETTE  TO MATCH THE AMIGA VERSION AND MAKE IT EASIER TO READ.
CHANGED THE DIRT TILE SET COLOURS
CHANGED THE PILLAR TILE SET COLOURS
CHANGED THE CRYSTALTILE SET COLOURS
CHANGED THE FIRE TILE SET COLOURS
CHANGED THE RATING CHANGE CUTSCENE COLOURS
CHANGED THE WATERMARK BACKGROUND IN THE ENDING CREDITS.

Whilst I did most of the work to do this hack. Another fellow contributor by the name of Adrian Gauna helped to correct the Level Titles on there and this is the changes he did.

1. FUN LEVEL 10: Smile if you love Lemmings
2. FUN LEVEL 26: Nightmare on Lem street
3. TRICKY LEVEL 4: Been there, seen it, done it.
4. TRICKY LEVEL 6: Lemmings in the basement ( Whilst the Original is 'Lemmings in the attic" thought would be good to do this change.)
5. TRICKY LEVEL 16: Luvly Jubly
6. TRICKY LEVEL 17: Diet Lemmingade
7. TAXING LEVEL 16: Mary Poppin's land.
8. MAYHEM LEVEL 20: No added colours or Lemmings
9. Fixed a typo in the ending credits. GRAPICHS fixed to GRAPHICS

Saying that. I DID do one Level title fix on that and that is the First Level of the game
1. FUN LEVEL 1: Just dig!

NOTE:
Since this is a IPS patch download. In order to patch this. You must patch this using the Lemmings (Europe) ROM as this was from a PAL version, Patching this using the NTSC US/JP version will not work. To patch this, You can use the program LunarIPS which can be downloaded in order to Patch this.

Here's the screenshots to show the new colours in this attachement.

ENJOY.
