Lemmings Main / Farewell lemmings fan.
June 30, 2026, 03:37:31 PM
Due to my age(61) with bad eye vision and being addicted to this forum, I decided to stop participating in any way in this forum. I had a lot of fun.
Would you please inform the administrator(s) of this forum to remove me as a member. I tried to do myself but there no option for it in the profile.
Thanks.
I will be following you as a guest.
Thanks.

After some investigation. We can do this in 3 different ways:
Android studio
Visual studio
Embarcadero RAD or Delphi
I have no luck with first two but I made big progresse with Delphi 12. İ manage to debug and compile the codes . I am getting one error only.
The final app can be either:
Android 32bit
Android 64bit
Windows 32bit
Windows 64bit
So you can compile Superlimmini to an exe file. No need for Java then.
See attached files.

On the other hand. I made a little study on a new proposed application which I called lem-one. Attached is a pdf file.
Selection of skills is my main concern. Now, We can remove the skills panel all together. You need only to:
Select lem
Select digger
Select direction (1 of 8)
Total of 3 touch.
The concept of one Lemming is preferred but you may wanna keep the number of Lemmings to minimum.

Final note. This will be my last post on the forum.

Thanks and good luck

Lemmings Main / Re: Comparison study
June 29, 2026, 05:32:27 AM
Let's do a demonstration:
Pick up any level from original Lemmings, play it with DOS Lemmings then try it with any version of NL 10.xx again with any version of NL12.xx and finally with any version of NL CE.

Now try this attached SLX with all if the above... You can not. İt involved two skilles not supported by NL. Balloons and spearer.

I am currently using SLX and happy with it. Especially because it has classical mode as well. I can play both NL and SLX levels in the time
We are all lemmings fan let's enjoy the game and have fun  let's GO.

A typo error in the PDF file, SLX has the most points not NL

Lemmings Main / Comparison study

Attached is a comparison study on the 4 active softwares currently maintained on the forum. I do believe that we should concentrate on Lix and Superlimmini. NL and and SLX are almost perfect.

İ wish I was 20 years younger. I am in my 60s. Last software I made in Turbo Pascal was on 1995.
Though, I can help with the system design and specification. I am retired now for the last 15 years

I think I shall finalise the pack and   post it all together with replays very soon.
İf any level needs adjustment or improvement... Please post your suggestion ASAP. İt is well appreciated.

Since Retrolemmini is Java based, can we run it in android?
İt will be nice to play classical Lemmings on android.

İs it possible to add difficulty indicator for each level instead of naming the pack ?... Easy , hard ...etc.
İt could be a one digit field (1-9) or (1-4). A scale from easy to most difficult.
This can be assigned by the level creator in the editor and shown later in the player.
This can be taken further later by averages or other statistical means by online input from players.
İt will be interesting to know how difficulty curvers can be changed with more samples (players).
Thanks.

Thank you willLem for this comprehensive reply.
I joined the forum just to post some easy and fun levels. Anyway. I did my best.
Attached are two packs in one (1) zip file-17 each. One is made uniquely to SLX, the other one is just some levels I selected from my basic pack for NL(converted to SLX).Both are drafts and can be improved. You are free to alter, use or combine any level if you find interesting.
Thanks. Good luck.

SuperLemmix / (SLX) Heart66 Pack (İn Development)
June 18, 2026, 04:50:27 PM
I am currently developing an SLX pack. Actually, I almost finished
My problem is not creating the levels but two (2) points:
1- rating the levels (easy - medium - Hard)
2- Skills assigned (should I give the skills in which I solved the level with or more)
Attached is an example.
For me, it is an easy level
The normal way of solving it is by 20 balloons and 20 speary and a stacker of course.
My solution Was different and I used less skills
I really need help in this. Your feed back is mostly appreciated.

Quote from: heart66 on June 16, 2026, 09:58:17 PMBy the way, if you use  "Edit Level" the editor shall open and you make the necessary changes. Save .... Exit
When you return to the player the changes will not show. You have to exit the player and run it again.

Are you using NeoLemmix CE? When I tested this, 1.1.1 does update the level as expected.
We were both correct, the new skills will show but not the edited title.
As attached:
1- level selected from the player
2 and 3 - I edited the skills number and the title. Saved
4- in the player, the skills were updated but not the title. Exit
5- run the player again. The title was updated.

İf you want to edit by levels.nxmi, you can currently use the player itself(edit level).
By the way, if you use  "Edit Level" the editor shall open and you make the necessary changes. Save .... Exit
When you return to the player the changes will not show. You have to exit the player and run it again.

Excellent job. Simplicity is best way to perform any task. Just the file name will do.
Do whatever convenient for you.
I am looking forward to use the editor with the modified version ASAP.
Thanks again.

I am very pleased with the editor. Big improvement.

Just a tiny request, can you:
1- Make the file name.nxkv show on the screen.
2- next file --- Edit button
3- previous file --- edit button.

Thanks a lot. You work is mostly appreciated.
