Lemmings Main / Sony's Problem with Lemmings
July 21, 2018, 09:44:29 PM
Here's an interesting video about Sony not successfully handling the Lemmings IP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VL0qUxVbhM&t=3s Do you think Lemmings would get more love if it was ported to more console and handhelds? This is one of the best puzzle games ever and it should make a comeback.

General Discussion / Television
December 21, 2014, 11:20:19 PM
I haven't watched TV in years. I liked watching Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and G4 (Back when G4 wasn't bad) back then but now it's all about Youtube and watching anime on many websites. I'm the only one in my house with no cable box connected in the TV. I use to love having a cable box but times as changed.

Non-Lemmings Gaming / Caveman Lemmings
May 03, 2014, 10:01:51 AM
This is a Lemmings clone that was released by Mobile 1UP for the iPhone in 2011. It's the original Lemmings with Caveman except the one-way arrows and traps aren't here and some of the levels have different solutions and skills. There's no one-way arrows but the player still builds over the terrain in "Keep your hair on Mr. Lemming" and "Tribute to M..C.Escher": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUafP6UHsDw" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUafP6UHsDw The one-way arrow in Upsidedown World is replaced with rocks which is steel.

They were gonna use the same artwork, levels, sound and music from the real Lemmings but Sony did not want Lemmings to be on a non-Sony platform, so they had to change it. I don't have this game nor the platforms it was released on. I don't plan on getting it. One thing I noticed from watching a video is the Cavemen bash slower than DOS and PSP Lemmings. The reason why is they bash with both hands but only one hand removes a lot of pixels, while the other hand removes less. Also

Level Design / Forgotten Solutions
June 30, 2013, 11:01:17 AM
Have you ever forgot the solutions to your own levels? I'm sure if you had made a lot of levels, you're bound to forget how to beat one of them. I forgot the intended solutions to some of my levels, that I ended up beating them by finding backroutes, that I didn't know was there.

Lemmings Main / Lemmings Returns
June 11, 2013, 01:12:39 AM
No this is not a new official game, it's a flash game I found: http://jayisgames.com/games/lemmings-returns/" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">http://jayisgames.com/games/lemmings-returns/ Has anyone played this before? Instead of using a lot of skills, you draw lines, for the Lemmings to walk on, or erase terrains with the eraser. You can actually destroy the level with it. The problem I have with this game is it's too slow and there's no fast forward. It's a lot slower than the real game, making it unbearable to play. I stopped at the second level because of this.

Level Design / PSP Levels Sharing
June 06, 2013, 08:23:42 AM
Back then, the PSP Lemmings use to have an online server, where you can upload your levels and download other people's levels. Right now, you can't do that anymore, since the server has been shutdown, because it became less active. But there's a way to still share your PSP levels, without the server. Just connect your PSP to your computer with a USB. From the Computer, go to savadata and copy and paste the "LEMBANKSLOT" file to your computer, than upload the file to the attachment, when you reply.

There's one problem with this method though. The name of the file that has the levels is called: LEMBANKSLOT# The slot number means, if your level is LEMBANKSLOT3, it means those levels will only be saved to the third slot in your user level list. So if you already have a LEMBANK in your third slot, you will either have to back it up and delete it, or use another memory stick. I don't think renaming it, will have any effect. I haven't tried it yet.

The levels that I have in the attachment are remakes of the levels from the Sega Lemmings, that I made here: http://www.lemmingsforums.com/index.php?topic=563.0 (Saves to slot 8 & 9) So does anyone with the PSP Lemmings wants to share their levels? Lemmix is cool and all, but I want to play new levels in the PSP version for a change. It's the one I play more often.

Help & Guides / Can't open Lemmini Jar
May 28, 2013, 11:50:04 PM
I have installed Lemmini I think five times before in my other Laptops and for some reason when I download Lemmini Jar in my latest Laptop, it shows up like and cannot be opened:

Do I need that JRE thing? I don't remember installing that and there's a bunch of them in the list.

Lemmings Main / Official Lemmings Levels
April 30, 2013, 08:02:18 AM
I sometimes like to go back and play these levels, for nostalgia. I wish I can erase my memory of the solution to these levels and playthough it again, like it was new, because I regret using a faqs on some of the levels. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" class="smiley" /> Anyone else still like to play these levels, even though you have already beaten them? I think I must have played Just Dig, over 200+ times.

Challenges / Lemmings 2 The Tribes: Original
January 22, 2013, 01:39:47 AM
I was wondering what if you were to play the original Lemmings by trying to save as many Lemmings as possible like in L2, how many will there be left in the end? You will start off in "Just Dig!" with 100 Lemmings, all the way to "Rendezvous at the Mountain". The funny thing is "Mind the step" is not gonna be a level with one Lemming in this challenge. Release rate and skills will be left unchanged.  The PSP version won't be joining this. You can't edit real levels there.

Help & Guides / Steel keeps changing sizes
November 27, 2012, 02:50:41 AM
I know I seem like I'm asking a lot, but it's just one glitch after another with Lemmix. I want to make the blue indestructible area to be near the size as the steel, which is 15 height and 15 width. But when I put the it on the steel and save the level and load it, the blue steel with change to 12 height and 12 width and move a little to the left, by itself. In the picture, the blue steel is 20 height and 20 width. For some reason, 20 and higher is not affected by the size change, but it will still move to a different spot.

How do you remove pieces of a terrain to make it smaller, like they did in the Sega Lemmings in Lemmix?

Help & Guides / Invisible Entrance
November 14, 2012, 08:13:10 PM
When I put the entrance on top of the level to the point where you couldn't see the top half of it and saved the level, the entrance was not there when I load the level. It's not really gone, it's still in the level, but not Lemmings comes out from it. The Lemmings will come out when I put a new entrance, but the first Lemming actually has to wait for the two invisible entrances to load it's release rate first, so the new entrance that is visible is considered as a third entrance and the invisible ones can't be deleted. Is there a way to deleted the two invisible entrance or do I have to start the level over and just avoid doing that? The reason I put it high up there is because I was making another remake of one the 36 levels from the PSP, and Lemmix has a smaller height. The entrance was working up there when playing the level, until I saved and loaded it.

Non-Lemmings Gaming / Mario Lemmings
November 02, 2012, 06:11:49 PM
This is an old flash game that was made in 2009. It's a Mario game that plays like Lemmings and I just beat it today. There's 24 levels. Some of the levels were weird, where the exit is right close to you and yet you see another exit with more obstacles to deal with. Why go to the one with a lot of obstacles when there's one right in front of you? What makes this even more weird is that this wasn't even one of the early levels. There's 50 Mario on every level and all of the levels has a 100% save requirement, so no Mario is allowed to die in this game.
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee91/Luis2_06/untitled-28.jpg?t=1351877052" alt="" class="bbc_img" />

There are 15 skills and I will explain what they do from left to right.

Pipe: Allows one Mario to go inside of a pipe and come out from another. Think of the teleport from Lemmings PS3.

Cape: Makes Mario glide down.

Builder: This looks like those little fence that you see in Super Mario Bros. Mario will put five of these horizontally and all the Mario can walk on it. In some levels, this skill has a problem. If one Mario is in the area where the fence is going to appear, that Mario will explode and die.

Climber: Climb up ropes then jumps to a near by terrain. The terrains can't be destroyed by the way. Only the sand and the yellow blocks.

Piano: This is the blocker. The Mario that is playing the piano will make all the other Mario behind him stop and dance.

Fire Mario: Gives Mario the fire power.

Fireball: Only the Mario that has the fire power can use this. It makes Mario shoot a fire at a Koopa.

Small Mario: Fit through small holes.

Pickup: Lets Mario pickup red grass that contains a bomb and throw it in front of him. This is the most annoying skill in the game, because there are levels where you need to pickup the bomb at a certain pixel in order it for the bomb to drop down and break the blocks below.

Duck: Makes Mario duck down to avoid a bullet bill.

Run: Increase one Mario's speed.

Frog: Mario needs this to swim on the water or he'll die.

Tanooki Suit: Mario will fly horizontally and will not stop until you give him a different skill. He can turn into a statue to avoid bullet bills.

Raccoon: Same as Tanooki, without the statue.

Digger: Dig down to remove sand.

Lemmings Main / Classic & Egyptain
October 22, 2012, 10:17:24 PM
I read a comment explaining something wrong with Lemmings 2. Don't you think it's weird that there's two sections of the yellow Egypt levels? Would it better if the Classic had two of each of the old five themes, instead of ten pillars? Or how about ten of a theme that is not pillar?

Lemmings Main / Lemmings 2 The Tribes Release Rate
October 12, 2012, 04:11:39 AM
This game doesn't show the release rate. Has anyone ever found out what they are for the ten classic pillar levels? I'm going to upload a playthrough of these levels in the PSP version, but since their release rates were invisible in the original, I had to make them up myself.

Level Design / No Builders
August 16, 2012, 03:53:30 AM
To me, I think coming up with a decent solution for a level with no builders is harder. Especially when you want to build a big level with a solution that doesn't use it. Have you ever made a level that has builders at zero? I have an old Crystal level in the PSP version that I rebuild into Lemmix that has zero builders. You can post your levels that has no builders. No training levels. Those are easy to make with no builders.

Challenges / Undamaged Levels
July 19, 2012, 11:42:28 PM
There are some levels where they give you destruction skills like the basher, bomber, digger, and miner that are possible to beat without destroying any pieces of the terrains. The first level in the order that does this is Fun 8 "Not as complicated as it looks". It's possible to save everyone there without destroying the terrains. Destroying the stairs from the builder is fine because it's not part of the level, even though the stairs are treated as terrains. It was fun playing Fun 9 like this. You have to build over the pillar to beat it and build some stairs on the other side to prevent height death. I did this in the PSP version though. It should be possible in the old one too.

Levels in bold are ones that doesn't gives you Bomber, Basher, Digger and Miner, so you wouldn't be able to destroy anything to begin with. 100% bold are levels that needs alll Lemmings to beat it.

Forum Games / Levels Name Sentences
February 10, 2012, 08:13:24 PM
This is what you do. You will make a sentence while using a name of a level in it, like for exmaple:

Just Dig

I'm gonna go to the cave and just dig for some buried treasure.

You can use every level from the main series, including Lemmings PS3 and those new levels from the PSP. (Main series meaning only the puzzle Lemmings games) You can use more than one level names in a sentence. You can even use a level that was already used and make a different sentence. Make more than one sentences if you want

For the new PSP levels go here: http://m.gamefaqs.com/psp/928435-lemmings/faqs/41896" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">http://m.gamefaqs.com/psp/928435=lemmings/faqs/41896

Room with no exit

Why would you put me in a room with no exit?
