I know I kept meaning to make a Lix multiplayer session and this time I am bringing true on it!

Myself and Simon (and Kingshadow) have agreed to play on Saturday October 17th at 5pm UTC

All are welcome and for those who are new to it, it is recommended you download Mumble for the voice chat aspect of it (optional but will improve session experience!). The Mumble server info can be obtained by PMing Simon on the forums.

Who's interested in playing? (so we can know who to expect)

Saturday, October 17th, 17:00 UTC. I'll join!

Saturday will be on October 17th, not on the 16th, that's a Friday. I'll take the liberty to edit the date number in your OP from 16th to 17th.

Flopsy: talking of Blockers, I hope geoo comes to the Lix session
Flopsy: there's 14 separate clips I think and some of them are Arty arguing for Blockers and geoo against them

geoo

I might actually join!  :lix:

This is one of ~3 days in October where I might actually be available.

Hope it works out, looking forward to bashing some blockers! (which is wildly ineffective)

Flopsy

Looks like we picked a good date for this then. Hope you can make it geoo  :lix-cool:

IDK if I can play Lix due to depression, but I will try to come anyway. Lix also used to help make me feel less sad when I'm depressed. If I do come I probably won't be playing my best due to that and just the fact I haven't played Lix in ages :(

Simon

You're welcome to join! Play as many games as you like, and if it's not the whole session, that's no problem.

Just a reminder we're still playing Lix next week and don't forget to update your engine to 0.10.36

Flopsy

And final reminder that we are still playing Lix tomorrow evening  :lix-smile:

Do we absolutely need 0.10.36 or will older versions still suffice? Due to the specific way I like to have Lix set up it's a bit of a hassle to update

I believe any 0.10 Lix versions will still work.

Simon

Yeah, no need to upgrade. Anything from 2024, 2025, 2026 will be fine. It's even good if a few users play with older Lix. This way, I'll be able to see that I didn't break anything.

Also if I do indeed end up playing there's a possibility I might not have audio :( which means e.g. if we play team maps we won't have the level of coordination we'd have if you could verbally tell me the instructions of what my role is and you'll have to tell me what to do using the in-game Lix chat I guess (or, alternatively, Mumble's text chat I guess if I decide to join the Mumble server (but IDK if I will as there's not much point in me being in the Mumble server though if I don't have audio))

OK, I've updated my main Lix directory to 0.10.36. I'm making work on my "Neutrals" directories now i.e. I have 6 extra Lix directories with the name just as "Neutrals" as on some maps that is needed to make the exits/entrances work for some reason. In fact that's why it's such a pain in the back to update Lix. It's not nearly as important the "Neutrals" Lix directory gets updated (especially so as if indeed I do play I'm not playing a 2P Lix IRC session but a proper session, so I probably won't need to use them). But still I love knowing that I have the highest number in the lobby for some reason. Even though it's completley meaningless for some reason I absolutely hate it when I don't have the highest number next to my name in the lobby :P. I love seeing the number that says what update I'm on go up. The updates themselves could add no new content for all I care, I hardly ever even read the changelogs, I'm just addicted to having the biggest number next to my name in the lobby for some reason.
