Favorite Graphic Set

Which is your favorite graphic set? As for me, it's Crystal Caves, because less levels have it, and I like the looks. One of the traps are not in the levels, and the levels are cool!

Oh no! More Lemmings's brick set. Almost everything is a right angle type terrain piece, and my design style thrives on order and perfect angles. I also like the look of it.

Mine is either the column style or the Oh No! rocky style, as they make it easy to create difficult and attractive levels.

I think my favorite graphics set is the rocky onml one, too. I love to make huge trees! The lizard traps are cool; you can even seperate the heads from the bodies (why?). I used that  to make a lizard with a long, furry neck! O_O

Okay, I'll put my favorite graphic sets in order:

1. Crystal Caves
2. Pink
3. Columns
4. Dirt
5. Bubbles
6. Snow
7. X'mas (the forgotten graphic set)
8. Fire Caves
9. Brick
10. Rock

Just because Rock is last, doesn't mean I won't use them in levels.

I like that set too, but I think I like the crystel set and the columns equally.

Bricks, Crystal, Fire, Pink and Dirt.

Almost all my best levels are designed in Brick style(such as Castle Of Oblivion, from Ultimate Challenge 5), or harder versions of Brick style levels(such as The Blasted Road To Lemming High, from the Fewer Builders Challenge).

Crystal is the most commonly overlooked style. For some reason I don't like big levels using it, but it's great for small levels - see "Without What Is Needed"(Ultimate Challenge 1 or Lemmings Plus 2) for a great example.

Fire is an interesting style. It has almost every terrain piece shape you'd need. One of the more overlooked but quite good Ultimate Challenge levels, "The Three Lemmings", uses Fire style for flat platforms, while another one, "Dungeon Of Oblivion", adapts the Oblivion trick into it. The possibility for this style is almost endless.

Pink, I can't really say exactly why it's cool. The colour, maybe.

And Dirt. Although I don't really find it suitable for hard levels, it's pretty much the only style that is good for making any shape without it looking like it's made of blocks.

3D Lemmings: Loap (engine) | L3DEdit (level / graphics editor) | L3DUtils (replay / etc utility) | Lemmings Plus 3D (level pack)

I like the Hell (Fire) graphic style, the pink bricks style, the red bricks style and the pipe-bubbles style too.

I like X-Mas and Crystal. But Columns is not bad, but not my favorite. But I think it's after Dirt the most pupular.

The columns set is the Romish graphics set. I thought you didn't like it. Is there a reason why you dislike dirt and crystal?

My favourites are Pink, Fire and Bubbles, though I like Crystal and Columns nearly as much as these three.

As Steaver said, Fire is great because it's so versatile -- you can make rocky mounds, brick walls or pillars, or mix them. And the flamethrower trap is SO COOL!!!

Pink is great because you have the right angles, which are the most useful types of terrain piece for level design, but it isn't as boring as Brick. And the Bubbles style is great because it's by far the best looking.

I don't like Dirt, Rock and Snow much, because it's hard to get straight vertical surfaces, which you need if you want to use climbers. And also because there's not much variety  in any of these. Snow is the one I like least, but I still use it -- I like the feel of a set that uses lots of different styles.

duhhhh i can't decide

dirt - i like dirt.  dirt is cool.  it's a nice level design that has many possibilites.

columns - this seems to be the one that everyone associates with lemmings.  even if it's not much, these kind of levels are nice to look at and design with.

pink - like streetlight administrator said it's hard to say why this design is so good.  but it is.  very attractive and fun.

hell - ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.  it's not my favorite but it's neat

crystal caves - can be obnoxious if overused, but otherwise a great terrain that is very purty.

bricks - you know,i don't really like a lot of the onml sets, and while this one is good, and can't get ugly after a while.

rocks - naaaah.

snow - probably my favorite on onml because its good.  i dunno.  i like it.

bubbles - i'm not gonna say i don't like it, but i'm not a big fan of it.

other snow - i dont know what to say about it.  it's pretty nice.

I wish it would be possible to have multi-themed levels.

It's probably not possible due to hardware limitations, namely the more primitive state of graphics capabilities back then.  Ever wonder why nearly all the sets tend to each stick to primarily shades of 1 or 2 colors? (brown and green for dirt, gray and red for fire, pink/purple for pink, yellow for columns, blue for crystal, red for brick, etc.)

Ahem... I've made a cheapo style meaning that Multi-style levels are able to be made.
