Today, Louise and I took our desktop PC to PC World to upgrade the RAM by 512 MB. Now it's constantly crashing . . . like, every 10 minutes! >:(  So we'll have to take it back again and sue their asses for $3,000,000,000, which should be just enough to make our camels either happy or launch. :P

Fact: It's better just installing things like RAM yourself, especially when the only alternative is PC World :P

Yeah, it looked really simple, but I'd never done it before, or even knew how. Besides, it was a free installation!

But where would you want to launch them to?

I've taken back the new RAM chip after finding out that the motherboard can only take up to 384 MB of RAM. So I replaced it with a 128 MB chip, which, when added to the original 256 MB, brings it up to its capacity. Now it will run practicaly anything.

I think I have 500 some MBs of RAM, but I'm not completely sure.

So did you end up fixing it yourself, or did they do it?

Did I say? Mine is currently at 384 MB (64 of which is dedicated to graphics), which is apparently the most it can hold without crashing.

Yes, Lemri, I did install it myself. It's pretty simple when you know how.
