I think error messages about the wrong tileset chosen or something like that. one of the ini files could be corrupted or changed, I dunno.

I will have to work on it when I get home in a few days http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

OK everyone, just want to give you an update on my levels that I was talking about before.

Apparently I have a large number of Lemmix copies on my computer, and using these copies I tried to open a number of my levels in each one, and was welcomed with errors. I am worried about this, because I am sure that many of my levels were created with LemEdit, but I want to have them fully functional in Lemmix somehow before I make them available to everyone.

I am going to try having a fiddle with the settings to see if I can get it all working again, but in the meantime if anyone is willing to help me sort the problem out, I would be very grateful. Even if you messaged me so we can have a live chat on facebook or skype or whatever, that would work even better. I wouldnt want to hit the fan getting frustrated for no reason! http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

One last thing, what is the recommended file format for levels to be in? I have a whole lot of level copies in all three formats (INI, LVL and DAT, which is the level pack format) and I really have to cut them down.

General Discussion / Re: Where are we all?

G'day everyone! I am here in Sydney, Australia. Apparently a couple of others are down here as well, but other than someone I used to know in real life, I havent seen another person that makes levels and stuff that lives down here.

It also presents a small problem with posting on the forum, as its always a different time than everyone else. Which means that for example if I need to ask about something, I will be waiting a little while for the answer http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

Oh well cant have it all can we? lol

I am sorry that I could not have been around to contribute to this awesome community project (although my levels would only have contributed to a fun difficulty anyway). I hope it turns out to be a successful one http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

Hey Tim

I just remembered that I think it was your level pack I requested roundthewheel to play as well as martin Zurlindens I think could be wrong. (It was a while back anyway)

It's fun watching him play through the levels and talk about each one.

I have only skimmed through his video list, but I cant see any sign of any of my levels (I could have missed them tho). It would be great if he could do them though lol

I know that my levels are not hard, just designed to look attractive http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

Yes that was my pack. I am sure that I made more levels after those ones, but I am worried that the extra levels I made are located in unusual files and level packs. I havent used the level editors for a while now either, so I dont know what I should do http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

I almost forgot to ask, does anyone know the best way I should try and retrieve my levels so i can edit them and easily organize my level packs? I remember last time I attempted this, the packs and levels I was working on were all screwed up in some way lol.

Wow! I did not know that there was a site with a way to play my levels! That is just too cool http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

I was not sure if my levels were at all accessible anymore. I loved making them, but creating levels that were difficult to complete instead of fun artistic ones did not seem to be part of my nature.

Did I only make 100 levels? I cant remember how many I created before I stopped making them, but it is great to know that the pack you played was playable!

My youtube account (http://www.youtube.com/user/timfoxxy" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/user/timfoxxy) has a few themed levels with walkthrough that I did for fun, but making the tilesets was very hard as I remember lol. And you can listen to the soundtrack of a lemmings CD that I still have here http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

Yes I realise this is a very old topic, but I couldnt help but notice that people were trying to find my old levels, because I havent been on the forum for a very long time. It also seems some may have tried to contact me but my details were outdated and incorrect. I have updated all of my info so that contacting me is easy again.

My old levels still exist, I have them all on my computer in some form, and probably on a storage site somewhere that I have forgotten about. If anyone is still interested in my levels for something, just let me know. I wouldnt have a clue how they can be retrieved from the packs that I had created so that they can be used, but I am sure there is a way!

General Discussion / Re: Lemmings Forums on Youtube
August 09, 2013, 01:15:02 PM
Sup guys. This is the first time I have logged into this site in (practically) forever, and mainly due to my brain trying to explode from other games and I need a little break from it http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

As already mentioned, I am one of the inactive Youtubers in the category of lemmings videos. Allow me to explain why. At first when I was making the videos for my channel, I was getting theme ideas for my levels (hence the Mario levels), and I was uploading walkthrough videos of my levels. I was getting comments on this site that the other levels I was making were more appearance-oriented and had low difficulty in them.

It is true that I had much trouble coming up with difficult levels, and implementing difficulty with my appearance levels felt like next to impossible for me. This is the main reason that I practically ended my level making, and as far as my Youtube videos were concerned, I hesitated to upload any more videos of my levels due to the fact that they couldve spoiled the levels for anyone that wanted to play them.

Has this made any sense to anybody here? lol

Lemmings Main / Lemmings for PC Canadian Soundtrack

Hey all, I know Ive been inactive for a very long time, so most of you will not know me or even remember me. I used to be a fan of making lemming levels and even had my own level pack under the name 'Van Clan Lemmings'. I dont make them anymore because of the simple fact that I cant make them challenging enough.

Anyway, I just wanted to show you all the soundtrack to a lemmings CD that I still have stored away in my TV unit. The music may be slightly skippy in some parts, but that is due to a high amount of scratches on the CD, and I was very surprised that I could get the songs off of it in very good condition!

There is the link for the whole collection. Some of you may recognise it, so I hope its enjoyable http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/laugh.gif" alt=":D" title="Laugh" class="smiley" />

Of course with two versions of the soundtrack you will have to specify which Track 17 you mean http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" /> (I am assuming the first version)

Some of you probably noticed in my youtube videos of the songs that Track 9 of the soundtrack (Track 2 in the second version) is my favourite track from the soundtrack. Unfortunately that song and possibly a couple of others have skipped small bits in the track. This is due to the original rip of the tracks having quick moments of silence in place of the music. My CD has ALOT of scratches on it now, so I was very surprised that the sountrack was ripped with near perfect quality. I mean shouldnt scratches render the disk next to useless? As I remember the CD still plays the game normally with the scratches.

Anyway enough babbling from me, I can see that people are liking the soundtrack http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/laugh.gif" alt=":D" title="Laugh" class="smiley" />

Hmm lets see, which question to answer first...http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

Because the CD has an option to install the game onto the computer, it would appear that it is a Windows version of the game. It runs only on full screen mode, but I dont think that is compatible with recent versions of Windows. Apparently it is a limited edition of the game, as Ive been told it was only released here in Australia.

Yes the music is directly from the game CD, and are only heard if you keep the CD in the drive when playing the game. Whichever file type the songs are I am not sure, as I just ripped the songs straight from the CD onto the computer and converted them to MP3 format.

Both versions are from the same CD. The only real difference between them are simply different filenames (with the 4 special levels having their own seperate names in the second version). The first two tracks from the first version are not included in the second version (I actually have no idea where those two are from as I dont remember hearing them in the game).

Yeah the fading out is how they sounded originally, even when playing the game. They actually had a longer fade out sequence, but I shortened that (the only editing that was done for the songs besides removing silence periods). I think the music did loop with the fading out, but there was some silence between each loop as thats how the files were like originally.

I hope those answered your questions http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

Lemmings Main / Lemmings for PC Soundtrack

Hey guys its been a while since I last used this site http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

Just thought Id mention that some of you may remember watching/listening to the lemmings for pc music I put up on Youtube some time ago, and some people were asking for a download of the full soundtrack.

Well, I have managed to find a place to store the complete sountrack and it is now available for free download for those of you that are interested!

Two versions of the sountrack are available. The first one is the complete, unchanged set of 23 tracks ripped straight from the game CD that I own. Two bonus tracks exist at the beginning (not heard in any level) and all 4 tracks of the special levels (Beast, BeastII, Menacing & Awesome). THis version is available here: http://www.4shared.com/file/ZFA9TQoN/lemmings_soundtrack.html" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">http://www.4shared.com/file/ZFA9TQoN/lemmings_soundtrack.html

The second version has minor differences. All tracks have been renamed slightly, and the 4 bonus levels have been given their own unique file names. The two bonus tracks are not included in this version. This version is availabe from this link: http://www.4shared.com/file/DJC0KF80/lemmings_soundtrack_version2.html" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">http://www.4shared.com/file/DJC0KF80/lemmings_soundtrack_version2.html

There is a little wait time for downloading the files, but that should be the only thing in the way http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

Well when it comes to wanting others to try out my levels, I can be just about certain that I will get the answer "lame levels" or "boring levels", but I dont blame them. I look for more design in my levels rather than "challenge level", and then the skill distribution comes after that without thinking much about it (I dont really look at my level and see what I can do about making it challenging). The skill distribution more is more like slapping paint all over my level lol.

I could bring up a topic that asks people to review some levels of mine, then to see what they can do about making it better (by better I mean adding/removing a few pieces and changing skills around to make the level somewhat of a challenge). Honestly I dont really care what happens to the skills in the level or if the level itself slightly altered, as long as my general idea for the level is still intact (title and design) somebody else can use the level as their own, as long as they credit me for the original design http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />
