Quote from: UltimateLemmings on October 16, 2026, 11:10:23 PMThat's a concession to ease touch-play for new players. You can turn it off (as do I) in settings.

yup, found that in the options! honestly, I think the pause function is a smart move for new players. and I appreciate the option to toggle it off. really loving the experience on the iPad. its how I primarily play this now.

so far VERY impressed with how this translated to iPad. i'm using classic controls on an older iPad Pro and have had no issues.

i suppose pausing the game when selecting a Lemming action was the only way to amount for tap controls vs. mouse? or is there a way to play in realtime?

exciting! have joined the test flight. will check the build out tonight.

truly awesome work! thank you, again, for doing this and continuing to improve the experience.

btw, for whatever reason, the in-app update feature is very hit and miss for me. i suspect its because sometimes I click the download icon, thinking it will do something. after which when I click "Check for Update" from the menu bar... nothing happens. restarting the game fixes the issue (if I go straight to "Check for Update" from the menu bar.)

will there be an option in the future to have the old school square pointer available when selecting lemmings? i kinda miss it compared to the new modern selecter.

downloaded 1.6, so far so good! game booted. cursor issues are gone as well. will let you know if I encounter any other bugs. I also have a Mac Studio M2 Max, so will test on there as well.

Looking forward to updating this afternoon! Again, thanks for continuing to do this!

Quote from: UltimateLemmings on September 23, 2026, 11:49:47 PMLooking into the bugs now, but when you say "classic control" do you mean you unchecked Modern keyboard control, clicked "used OG settings" in gameplay, or just clicked "old school" on first launch?

exactly. I clicked the "use OG settings" button and it does nothing. retains the modern controls (including the new circle effect when trying to select a Lemming.) weirder still, I thought maybe I just need to relaunch the game. well, when I did that, and went to settings, not only is the OG settings button off, but also the cursor vanishing on the settings screen. so that's not great.

as for what I clicked during "first launch," I choose "old school." however, that was with beta 32. when I launched RC1, I wasn't presented with any options. but perhaps it inherited my settings from the last version, and that's caused the issue?

edit: hmm, RC3 isn't even launching for me.

already noticed a few bugs with this latest version.

for whatever reason, I can't switch back to classic controls. further more, when using modern controls, my cursor disappears when trying to use the bottom menu bar. i can still interact with buttons, however, I can't see what I'm interacting with.

(I'm on a M3 Macbook Air running MacOS Golden Gate, btw)

Quote from: UltimateLemmings on September 23, 2026, 02:43:38 AMThank you so much for your feedback! RC1 is now out with full completion tests for all classic levels (minus the 6020 fan levels - but they assumedly will work!).

Please let me know how you are finding the modern features such as three star ratings, stats, HD nukes, vari-speed etc!

I got some ideas for more QoL in 1.1 so any suggestions or feedback are more than welcome!

star ratings have been great. its a nice touch and has definitely resulted in my retrying a level or two to get a better rating. haven't tried any of the HD graphics yet, but will today.

btw, re: RC1, is there any sort of upgrade path I should be following to retain my current stats/progress? or are those stored elsewhere, so replacing the app won't effect anything?

edit: also looks like the download link is broken.

Thank you for doing this! I'd always hoped someone might attempt porting OG Lemmings to modern platforms. The fact it's out for the Mac first is a total bonus.

Been playing over the weekend and it's great! Happy to test any new versions as they come out.
