I think I backrouted V1 of "How to Self-Destruct a Factory" - I saved 100% - sorry Nessy.
And this one too - lots of tools left over. Also, this is a far more appropriate song! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9sz9QzsWXc
Also, a version that saves an extra lemming (very similar to the other solution).
Thanks for playing Crane :)
Your solution to my Rule 2 level is okay... it's meant to be an open-ended level but maybe it's too open-ended. I'm going to make a slight tweak to it.
Both solutions to my Rule 3 level are backroutes :P Should be an easy fix though.
if possible; I'm planning on streaming the levels/pack on this Thursday around 7:00 PM (12:30 AM UTC)
My solution to "2 Minutes Before The Mall Opens!" - I probably made it more difficult than I needed to, since I used some trickery to slow down the crowd leader, when really, I could have just had the pathfinder start closer to the edge and turn around - there's time for him to return.
Completed "Sunset Sprint!" - that level was actually quite fun. The music really gives a fun vibe to "hurry up"!
Completed the Rank 1 levels, "Spider Attack!" (absolutely epic theming and music!), "Trinity Tower" (love the Freedom Planet 'memorial') and "Powerplant Faceplant".
If I had to give a word of warning, I tend to mark down levels if I'm forced to play with Clear Physics permanently enabled. On some styles, it's almost impossible to work out what's a background object, what is solid terrain and what is steel, for example.
And "Forest Stroll".
"On the fritz" in Rank 2 is the only one I haven't completed yet.
I've got some stiff competition this time around, it seems!
Found another backroute in Butterfly Cult. It's a cute level either way.
I'm currently trying to work out if Self-Destructing a Factory is even possible with just 1 Climber.
Well, it's possible, but the solution is evil! And you're an evil genius, Nessy!
Completed "On the fritz" - that level was ridiculous, but interesting.
And that's the lot! This might actually be the first time that I was able to complete every level in the contest.
So my personal opinions and ratings on the levels. Try not to take too much to heart if I'm harsh:
Spoiler
Name | Enjoyability | Difficulty | Theming | Notes |
Spider Attack! | :):):):) | | :):):):):) | The theming absolutely rocks, and the music is such a tease! I think I backrouted it though, as it's just a matter of plotting a path and navigating the terrain. |
| | | | |
Trinity Tower | :):):) | | :):):):) | I quite like the Freedom Planet aesthetics - feels like a lovely memorial temple. Easy to solve if you plan ahead. |
| | | | |
Powerplant Faceplant | :):) |:evil::evil: | :) | The tileset is far too busy - I have to play with Clear Physics permanently enabled to know what was what. |
| | | | |
Sunset Sprint! | :):):):):) |:evil: | :):):) | I found this level very fun, especially with the music. A fun take on "hurry up"! |
| | | | |
2 Minutes Before The Mall Opens! | :):):) |:evil::evil::evil: | :):):) | A decent challenge, especially working out how to get through with the limited skills. The time limit didn't feel like a big factor though. |
| | | | |
How To Self-Destruct A Factory! | :):):):) |:evil::evil::evil: | :):):) | Second version has an evil solution! Very clever use of bashers and you have to find creative ways to speed the lemmings up. |
| | | | |
On the fritz | :) |:evil::evil::evil::evil: | :):):) | Didn't initially realise that all the left Lemmings were Disarmers. I could see what you had to do, but executing it was a headache. I didn't enjoy this one; the time limit made it pretty nasty, although to give credit where it's due, it forces you to evaluate the terrain to look for shortcuts. |
| | | | |
Butterfly Cult | :):):):):) | :evil::evil::evil: | :):):):) | A very cute level! I like this one, even if I backrouted it! |
| | | | |
Forest Stroll | :):) | :evil::evil: | :):):) | I probably backrouted this one. It didn't feel too memorable to me. |
Another solution to "Forest Stroll" - this one feels a bit more intended.
Here are my solutions for all V1 levels. :)
The videos where I am live solving these will come up from Friday - Sunday.
And trinity tower needs a little fix. ;P
Hehe, sorry IchoTolot - I've been busy!
It seems like my 2nd V1 solution to nessy's butterly level still works or is even intended. ;)
Anyway I also attached the new solution to Nessy's R2 level.
Also as you can see in the Version list in the first post: The pack should be updated now.
Nice solution to my Rule 2 level Crane! Completely different from my solution, but no less impressive nor difficult. This level is going to have a lot of potential solutions, but I think all of them will be acceptable!
You definitely backrouted my Rule 1 level. I updated it. ;)
I think this should be another backroute to Arty's R1 level. :P
Spoiler
You can go through each of the sides on that level with a digger and some builders to stop and turn.
And here should be another backroute to Crane's R2.
How's this, Colorful Arty?!
Re-solved "Trinity Tower" too.
@Crane: I can understand my level not being a favorite, it is a multitasking nightmare. I'm kinda surprised that you thought it the hardest level, though I haven't looked at the other levels yet.
My main purpose with this level was to show off the gear decoration object I cobbled together.
@Nin10doaddict: Maybe I overcomplicated the solution, I'm not sure.
Solved version 3 of "Spider Attack!" - I also had another solution for V2 that was similar to my first backroute, except to use a couple of builders and a digger to get through the thin wall at the top (instead of climbing over it).
Oh, and Arty... in this world there is no place for people like you; I'll exterminate you with my backroute bite! In my world there is no place for weaklings like you; I'll exterminate you with my backroute bite!
Arty's R1 seems at least more intended now. :)
My V2 solution for Crane's R2 still works on V3. Attached it again. Did you post the wrong V3 maybe? ???
And yes that's the intended route for Trinity Tower, Crane.
Hmmm, it seems that I somehow sent a bad save to you, because you're only meant to have one Builder initially, not two. Still, I'll send V4 in a moment, where I've decided to try something slightly different.
This should be another backroute for Crane's R2.
Well and V5 still seems not to be the last one. :P
V6 won't be the last one as well I think.
V7 still doesn't seem to do the trick. :P
It won't end with V8 as well.
I hate you so much!
Last solution for today.
I feel your pain Crane. This happened to me last time... That's another reason I wanted my level to be somewhat open ended. It ended up getting a bit out of hand, though. :XD:
These are my attempts so far:
Spider Attack!:
Spoiler
The mind boggles.
Trinity Tower:
Spoiler
Solved now, yay! Check it out!
Sunset Sprint:
Spoiler
Nope.
Especially making any Lemmings walk up to the exit.
Run!:
Spoiler
The level looks imposing but I somehow managed to beat it almost immediately.
2 Minutes Before The Mall Opens!:
Spoiler
The level seemed to be unraveling nicely for a bit but only for a short while...
How To Self-Destruct A Factory:
Spoiler
I think I'm missing a single piece of the puzzle here. Partial replay below.
On The Fritz:
Spoiler
Nice one, I'd beat this level easily if not for the time limit but - duh.
Two's Company...:
Spoiler
I'm no more than a few frames of animation away from solving this one! Partial replay below.
Butterfly Cult:
Spoiler
I quite like the level and the music. Can't fathom a way of saving the left-hand bunch. A partial replay is here is you want to see it.
Edit: Trinity Tower replay added!
I hope the solutions are better. At least i've got a good felling that these are a big step in the right direction for Arty's R1 and Crane's R2.
@SQron: There is no trinity tower replay attached. Only Rank 2 and 3 as it seems. :P

You're right. I've edited my post above now.
Literally just had a brainwave and solved Trinity Tower!
Making this post so that people can see it.
@SQron:
How To Self-Destruct A Factory
Yep you are indeed missing one piece of the puzzle ;) You only have one climber so try to think about how to get another Lemming to go behind that climber in the tower section on the right side of the level.
More Major Hint
You can accomplish that with a clever use of the bomber skill.
Butterfly Cult
You are also on the right track here. Take more advantage of the platforms below the middle hatch to effectively save some skills for other "uses".
More Major Hint
The left most hatch needs a helping hand from the other hatches.
Alright I think SQron's R1 level is fine now, but R3 seems still unintended.

I'm interested in seeing your solution to "Run!", SQron188, since it was meant to be the harder of my two levels!

I'm sorry but due to my absent-mindedness I think I solved an earlier update of the level and I'm positive it was a backroute anyway.
V4 of SQron's levels are re-solved.
My solution to V4 of Forest Stroll.
How's this for an epic backroute, Colorful Arty?!
*sings* It's the... eye of the spider, it's the thrill of the fright!
Solution for "Powerplant Faceplant". Not sure if it's intended or not.
IchoTolot:
Spoiler
Neither of these is intended but I 've got some ideas left for debackrouting.
Let's see how it goes.
Crane:
Spoiler
You're very very close to the intended solution of Forest Stroll there! The time at which some of the skills are assigned is just about the only difference! Good job!
Not as much with the Powerplant Faceplant one, though. Update incoming.
Redone SQron's V5 levels and I also got a new solution for Crane's R2.

Redone SQron's V5 levels
Spoiler
You're much closer to the intended solution for R3L3 there! I just made some adjustments for v6. R1L3 - another update.
Well, I think that's a step back again in R3. :P

Powerplant Faceplant:
Spoiler
YES!!! Finally, the intended solution with that one techinque I wanted the player to pull off! Congrats! My word, this is a fantastic feeling, to make something fall exactly into place!
Forest Stroll:
Spoiler
You're in fact closer to the intended solution than you've ever been before! I've made another update.
Maybe this is it ???
I feel like this could be it. :)

...and it looks like we have a winner, haha!
The level ended up looking a bit different than the original but here we are anyway.
unless someone comes up and backroutes either of them again...
I've added the late submission by Proxima to the pack. :)
I also attached my solution to the level.
100% solution to Proxima's level. Note that I think some of the chain links on the left hand side have the wrong Z order.
Also, Proxima's level doesn't have the "Author" field filled in in the pack.
Also a new solution to "Forest Stroll".
I resolved Crane's R2 level.
I'm losing hope with this level. That last backroute almost completely broke the level.
Resolved the level.
I think this is a classical case of: You cannot enforce A without allowing B.
I suspect the problem is the starting part. I would suggest changing the intended route of the start part to something more easily enforcable. You can use nearly every skill here in a somewhat helping way, so this is backroute heaven from the get go. Sometimes the intended route needs to be adapted in order for the rest of the intended tricks to be enforced, I think this could be such a case.
I would also guess that the most elegant part of the level is located in the 2nd part.
I know the level is not going to win - it's far too convoluted and obviously full of patch-jobs. I've got no more energy to keep fighting the losing battle.

Also a new solution to "Forest Stroll".
Well done, my good sir! Intended solution!
I hope you enjoyed this level!
And also I've solved Proxima's level over here.
Resolved Arty's R1 level.

that's right
I admit I'm kind of surprised at how much trouble "Two's company..." gave you. I guess it goes to show that the solution may not always be obvious to anyone who isn't the level's designer.
solved Icho's rank 1 level
Spoiler
-art and design was excellent, lots of fun to play out. Was able to solve it as I went along, the solution felt neat and organic. Didn't feel like a backroute.
-I have to say however a point or two is lost because the background is way too light and distracting! Seeing what is solid and not is often difficult. I don't like having to use true physics mode constantly. (Either darken the background or lighten the foreground). Other than that the art style is pleasing.
Ok, after the images haven been uploaded to the NL site. I will ready up and start the voting.
