I like Clam's idea of "useless L2 skills" for the next game. Also, the initial scores should probably be lower (like maybe 5 instead of 10) so this only drags on half as long? (Or perhaps we can double the hurt/heal values every now and then to speed things up.)
Another possible twist (though not exactly helping the game speed-wise) is that for people having gone multiple times in the same game, they must avoid re-choosing any of their previous choices for as long as possible.
Yet another random idea: people can guess the N-th eliminated level (they pick the N), and if they get that right they get some extra power to hurt/heal for one time. I guess we'd need to figure out how exactly to allocate the extra power based on how many people got it right, how early/late did they declare the guess compared to the time of elimination, etc. Perhaps we can look into additional such types of "side bets" one can make in exchange for bonus hurt/heal power.
