GENERAL KNOWLEDGE QUIZ!
« on: June 05, 2009, 12:52:25 AM »
It's a quiz for just about anything! Ask a question, someone answers and asks another!

Rules
  • In order to make the questions not too hard, the answer to your question must be at least findable on the Wikipedia page to which your question pertains.
  • You need to categorise your question. Valid options are:
    • Entertainment - TV, movies, music, theatre
    • Science - all sciences except social studies
    • People - social studies, cultures, festivals and holidays, celebrities
    • History - notable people in history, historic events
    • Recreation - sports, non-video games, hobbies
    • Information - computers, maths, the world wide web
  • DO NOT POST IF YOU ARE NOT ANSWERING! (exception: if somebody answers something wrong to YOUR question, you can challenge them)
  • When you answer a question, you must post a new question using the template. Copy and paste it from below.

Question template

Question example
Category: History
Question: What date every year commemorates the storming of the Bastille, in France?

If your question was answered incorrectly...
If someone answers your question incorrectly, politely tell the thread, and I'll put the question up here. These questions are extra credit, so try to answer them if you can. Extra credit questions are worth two points!

It is Microsoft!

It stands for 5th of may.  An unlikely victory over French forces.

Question:  What legendary ghost may be summoned by chanting his/her name?

I always thought that even though Urban Legends can be quite far fetched, they're always interesting.

Whether true or not, this one's one you DON'T want to test.
