Your game records
« on: August 11, 2004, 01:31:40 AM »
Just a topic idea before I head off to bed and forget it in the morning.

Any particularly high scores, record times etc? Post them here.

As of yet, I don't have any myself, but... patience, comrades, patience. ;P

Okay... with RPGs... I suppose the idea is with as low stats as possible.

I beat Final Fantasy 10 without increasing my stats at all! (Except Aeon stats, which it's impossible to beat the game without increasing, as the game forces you to use aeons)

It is a result of a strange glitch in the game. No way I can actually circle that track in 5.50 seconds...

(World Record, by the way, is 5.40, to my knowledge.)

I do, however, have what I believe is a world record for an obscure Mario puzzle game called "Mario's Picross". In Time Trial mode, my fastest time is 00:50 (50 seconds), but everywhere I look, the world record is officially at 01:01. I can't seem to get a picture of it, though...

Sounds good (but unforunately I don't know the game so I can't say how good).

Anyone else here have good times on Minesweeper? Mine are 2-18-76 (which I believe makes me the wordl #233......)

Minesweeper, huh? I bet Beginner in 10 seconds and the second grade in 100. That's not good, is it? But the old versions are easier, aren't they? The XP-Versions are avoiding many mines together, so it's impossible to bet it in 1 second.

In solitair I get through in 81 seconds. (Take 1 card and standard-score mode.)

Actually, the old version is harder, at least on Beginner; the grid was 8x8 but on new versions it is 9x9. (This is harder because the same number of mines are in less space, so there are fewer empty spaces.)

It's possible to beat either version in 1 second, but much easier with the new (9x9) version.

On the Intermediate and Expert levels, there are no differences in the gameplay.

Minesweeper?

Using a cheap trick, you can stop the time and complete any puzzles with 0 second! :D

But I don't play much this game...

On Slay, I beat 5 clever computers in six days. &#A0;I looked at that yesterday, tried to do it again: couldn't do it.

Also, I beat two experienced humans in a multiplayer AOE II battle in approx. 35 minutes. &#A0;Note that they were allied.

G3K could probably beat this, but just in case, I got a score average of 98% on SNES Starfox (Most excellent game!).

In Super Mario 64, I have 117 stars (I think it's almost (and i mean almost as in one trillionth of the width of a penny away) impossible to get the remaining stars to reach 120).

Lon Lon obstacle course: 47 seconds (I don't think it's possible to get lower than this).

Starfox 64: 1360 hits

357 hits on area 6

medals on-
-area 6
-sector z
-sector x
-sector y
-venom
-corneria
-aquas
-Zoness
-Asteroid Belt
-Fortuna

hmm... I have to go and check that. &#A0;I might have added one by mistake.

I put these up here to compare. &#A0;So if you have anything better, post it.

UPDATE - I now have a highest average score on SNES Starfox of &#A0;100%!!!!!!

Most I've ever had (using a dodgy emulator) was just over 500 - most I've ever heard of, though, is 2400.

.... O_O ...........two thousand...and fourhundred???? &#A0;That can't be possible! &#A0;There's NO WAY. &#A0;Even if you DID kill every single enemy on the left path, there is no way you could get 2400 hits!

....hmmm.......

Did you look up the path taken to acquire such a score? &#A0;Where'd you hear this anyway.

I don't have many records, but I was screwing around with a 'Mouse Odometer' and I went 2 miles, clicked my mouse about 22000 times, and pressed about 50000 keys... In two WEEKS.

My best score, in original Tetris, is 225 cleared lines. My best score is over 550,000 points, but I forgot the exact number... They weren't the same game, though.

1756 hits on Starox.  In the process of getting this score, I have convinced myself that it is possible to get a score of over 1800 due to the fact that I was missing a major chunk of hits from Katina (I average 205.  On my newest high score, my score on Katina was only about 160) that I could get and add to the hits from the other levels as well.

New record for asteroid belt score and Area 6 Defense zone score.

Oh, and I have beaten 3 allied moderate computers in Age of Empires II: The Conquerors when my other allies died.  This hasn't been done before by anyone I know.  Note that when my allies died all three enemy computers were still alive and operating.

1766 hits on starfox.  I'm not sure if it's possible to get 1800.  I still am nowhere close to believing that claim of getting over 2000 hits.  Unless there is some kind of huge glitch on Katina or something, that can't be possible.

I still hold 1:13 on Hydrocity 1, and it now comes complete with a Screenshot

1811 hits on Starfox.  Cool.  I think I know how that one dude got 2000 whatever hits.  There's a cheat on the emulated version that raises your hits automatically as you play.  That might be how he got it.  I don't know though

Awesome game 8-)
