My 4th level pack is done! Download it here. I've put a little more effort towards making the levels look good for this pack - hopefully this is noticeable. Any feedback would be much appreciated .

I'll download it right away!  8)  I've just uploaded a brand new pack myself. Find it on the database under weirdy05.

Watch this space. Feedback coming soon.

That suspicious-looking thing in the air is the trap. I'll try to activate it too again...

Other:
After 1 month and uncountable amount of desperate attempts, I solved geoo89's third map, "the crossing stairs".
Now level 5, "There is method in madness". Much better  :P

Other2:
I still can't try out Lemmini to watch the replays  It misses some files when i'm doing the setup (not the terrain files, but I can't remember what was the exact name; maybe blink.dat)

Hey, nice to hear that you're still playing my set and even progressing. btw, level 8 is a nice one IMO, easy to execute once you know the solution. ;)

The replays you've got are likely for Lemmix, not Lemmini.: http://home.hccnet.nl/ericenzwaan/lemmix/lemmix.htm
If you need help in getting it to run, just ask.
It will also make my level much more enjoyable to play due to the possibility to use savestates. ;)

I've just started my studies, so my activity will likely keep as low as before, but some time ago I played weirdy's 'Death or Glory', and this is really an awesome level. Haven't solved it yet (if only the time limit weren't that tight...), but I like how it is that hard with only so few skills.
Will have to try some more, and also ClamSpammer and weirdy's new packs when I get some spare time.

Ah yes, "Death or Glory".  :)  Glad you like that one, although I'm wondering if you're playing the 2-minute version or the 3-minute version... I created the 3-minute version after I realised that the 2-minute version *might* actually be impossible. Oops!

But if you've got the 2-minute version and you manage to solve it, I'll be very impressed.

If my mind serves me right, it was a 1-minute version I played, but it has been ages ago, and the level file on my hard disk says 2 minutes.

But it doesn't matter at all anyways, because I just solved it within 1 minute. Now try that. :P

  I am impressed!   It's been a while since I took a look at the level, so that's probably why I got the timing wrong: I meant 1 and 2-minute versions, not 2 and 3. 3 minutes would be waaaay too long anyway.

Do you have a replay I can watch...? My curiosity is getting the better of me.  :)

2 minutes? Oh, that's ok then . When I first played this one it looked like a one minute solution might just be possible. Congrats on solving this one geoo

I just solved "crossing stairs" too by the way.

Weirdy - The steel areas on level 2 (Cockney Lem) are in the wrong place. It looks like you moved the rest of the level and left the steel behind

Gaaaah!   Oh well, easily fixed. Thanks for letting me know about that. Misplaced steel would make an easy level even more easy, and we can't have that now can we...?

Just adding a bit of feedback on ClamSpammer's earlier level pack that I'm still working through.  :)  So far I've only had the time and energy to solve "Hello, Goodbye" and "FALL AND DIE". They're both brilliant! They have just the right blend of puzzling and challenging execution that I like most. And they're also very cleanly designed. In contrast, my dirt levels in particular are a real mess - just look at "Cockney Lem"...!  :o

And thanks to geoo for sending me the replay.  8)

Glad you like them, and thanks for the feedback. To be honest, I don't much like the dirt tileset because it tends to be messy - I prefer straight lines. In fact, I've only made one dirt level besides "FALL AND DIE" and that was a map pulled from the original game

On a different note, I just found a backroute in my new pack, on level 7. I've changed a few skills around (added a climber and miner, removed a basher and digger) which should hopefully fix that.

I've had a short glance at ClamSpammer's levels this evening, and I solved 6 of them for now. Haven't solved the last three nor level 4 yet.
First three were of a somewhat different style, you know roughly what to do, and need to find out the subtleties. Weren's so hard though.
For level 4 I don't see a way atm how to do the last part, got to check that again.
On level 5 I had 6 builders left. The following level was a very elegant one, I really liked it, even though the main idea was sort of obvious.
Level 7 was easier than expected, had one basher left, not so interesting one.
Level 8 seems to require a very good timing, so I skipped it for now.
I haven't really looked into the last two so deeply, but level 9 seems pretty intriguing, and the last one seems to be a very elegant puzzle.

So much for now, and btw, I prefer straight terrain as well. ;)

By the way, I wonder if that gas-spray trap thing mentioned earlier is present in the Acorn version of ONML... I'll take a look!  8)

Edit: I've had a look... Doesn't seem to be anything on the Acorn Archimedes version either. Hmmm... Shame, because the Acorn version's the best version too! Yes, I'm biased.  :P

Did anyone else notice a couple of new level packs by "JHIsan"? There are some decent levels in there (but a few backroutes too :))

Hi all.  8) I've downloaded and had a quick look at JHIsan's level pack. Interesting stuff...

Lately I've been busier than I thought I'd be, so not playing Lemmings so much. But I've just completed a new level pack - my sixth. It should be on the database under "weirdy06". Hopefully they're okay... Personally I think that "weirdy05" was actually a bit of an aggrovating clickfest and probably not very fun to play at all... and I made them, so God knows what you lot thought...! :p

Feedback is appreciated, whenever people are around. Anyone still out there, still building levels?  :)

I'm still here, though my attention (in terms of level designing) has shifted to Lemmings 3, for the moment at least - which is a pity since I haven't got lem3edit working on my computer yet :(. That said, I have made a new version of one of my recent levels ("Coming down alive") which turned out to be much simpler than I first thought. I might release the new version separately rather than replacing the original one, as it is quite different.

I have tried your levels weirdy. 05 seems to be a good levelpack, save for the last two levels which are pretty much (as you put it) a clickfest. I found a couple of backroutes, particularly on level 5, and I generally had skills left over on most levels. Level 6 is an exception - I haven't figured it out yet :XD:.

06 focuses too much on builders IMHO, making the levels seem long and tedious. I haven't had much of a go at this pack yet though.
