Ok, we have a suggested date and time for the session to screen share on discord since everyone seems to prefer that option on the IRC.

Sunday 25th February 18:00 UTC

Make sure to have a smartphone or tablet to hand :)

For those who don't know, you'll connect to the game on your device by going to a website on your smartphone and enter the room code provided by the game. You will then be connected to the game and will need to use the screen share to be able to see the game screen :)

Anyone on the forums is welcome to join even if you never posted your interest in the topic before now, just make sure you join the discord server :)

Join Discord here https://discordapp.com/invite/2MyfSfN

There is a limit of 8 players though.
We need at least 3 players to be able to start the session.

Jackbox Party Pack

Required for all games: a smartphone or tablet with internet access (I don't think laptops will work for this game at all but chances are that will be your screen!)

Games: You Don't Know Jack 2015 (1-4 players only)

The Smart-ass trivia show that started it all! Hundreds of all-new twisted trivia questions and everyone's favourite host, Cookie Masterson!

Drawful (3-8 players only)

The drawing game that takes all other drawing games and draws mustaches on them. Can't Draw? No problem! It's funnier that way!

Word Spud (2-8 players only)

Keep the words rolling all night! Just finish the word coming toward you, like "Mail___." Mail enhancement, you say? You nailed it XD

Lie Swatter (1-100 players)

Do lobsters pee out of their heads? Did Japan vote the instant noodle the top invention of the 20th Century? Or are you called BS?

Fibbage XL (2-8 players only)

Fool your friends with your lies, avoid theirs, and find the (usually outrageous) truth. "The major of Rabbit Hash, Kentucky is a ____." GO!

I would be up for this, but also it would be cool if someone owned Vol 2 or 3, because those volumes have Quiplash which is the best game in all the packs. The only games I like in the original Jackbox Pack are Word Spud and (kind of) Drawful.

If there's success in arranging these sessions, I could potentially pick up these Volumes.

For those who are unfamiliar with the games, these are the ones I know about in Volume 1.

You Don't Know Jack is a humorous Quiz with plenty of silly questions and subjects in it.
Drawful is like a humorous Pictionary where you are given a funny topic to draw and then people have to guess what your topic was.
Fibbage is when you try and invent the biggest lie answer to a question and try and convince people to pick your lie.

The Jack box party games are actually quite good. Fibbage if I remember correctly is the one where they ask you a question, not like your normal quiz question but more of a bizarre fact and you have to answer correctly.  Each player makes up their own answer and it can become quite a laugh plus you learn new facts, well bizarre facts. Any family feud fans might enjoy this one.

Ok, after a bit of testing

Option One - Direct Xbox One stream using Mixer app

I can get a decent stream going at the following link

www.mixer.com/Flopsy86

You don't need an account to view this stream.

Mixer is the default app used on the Xbox One for streaming and most (but not all) people who viewed me streaming on here were getting a decent viewing experience of not more than a few seconds lag.

I tried using Twitch but the stream was not workable and that was even from using the Xbox One Twitch app but everyone knows I have had lousy experiences viewing streams on the Xbox One using Twitch.

My possible reasoning for this is perhaps the Xbox One is sending the footage to the internet at the same time as sending it through the HDMI cable to my TV and HDMI lag to the TV will account for the lower lag overall.

The chat doesn't need to be used on Mixer, it is completely optional whether I add it or not but adding it would mean everyone might have to make an account just to text chat which would not be well utilised anyway. We could just have discord or mumble open in the background for chat purposes.

Option Two - Discord Screen Share

Doable although it requires involving my laptop in this but I cannot get my Xbox One to display full screen on my laptop screen so will result in a smaller than full screen experience.

We haven't been able to set this up to test yet for reference.

Obviously this requires all players to join the Discord server if you haven't already and it requires a call to be set up with all participants.

I've just purchased Jackbox Party Pack Vol 1-3 on Steam for £25 so we will have access to all 3 games at the session :)

Also having the game on Steam makes it a lot easier to use Discord
