What if lix was a kickstarter project?
« on: June 03, 2015, 10:45:41 PM »
Lix does a good enough job as a fangame right now :lix-smile: but
What if we had the support of making it a Kickstarter project? :lix-wink:
Like if there was a character the represented a Indie character for lemmings, Lix would be the perfect fit.
I don't know its some thing i'd like to see happen someday.
Any thoughts?

I'll admit I'm not that well-versed with Kickstarter, but my understanding is that Kickstarter primarily addresses the funding aspect of projects.  I don't believe financials is an issue when it comes to Lix.  Making it a KickStart project does help with promotion (mainly because you are forced to consider early how to promote your project on KickStarter in order to maximize funding received), but in doing so you will also be held accountable (somewhat) to your donors for things like completion dates and promised features, which can be problematic.

What is the perceived problem? What do you suggest as a fix? Do I agree that the problem is a problem, and that the proposed fix is best? Is money the missing resource to implement that fix?

The critical resource has never been money.

It is time!

And the trust in the project by our awesome contributors.
