Heads up for those of you watching my Rocket Slime LP, one of the episodes I recorded got majorly screwed up; apparently my headset's mute button got bumped and I wasn't aware of it, so there's not much commentary for the episode, and OBS froze several times during the recording, so a lot of the footage was lost as well. This means I have to replay the game to that moment again and re-record the episode. If the series doesn't update every single Monday and Thursday, that is why.

I recently mentioned La-Mulana in the "What other games are you playing" topic.

I just bought La-Mulana 2 today, and I've decided to LP it. Obviously, this is a completely blind LP - I know a few very minor details about the game up front, all of which are either "things you realise in the first 10 minutes anyway" or very vague (like "the puzzles aren't as obscure as the first one").

First video is already up. I'll probably record a couple more later today.

I'm very excited about LM2, but I'm staying away from any videos until I've had time to play it for myself.

As for me, other than the usual (DROD, Lemmings, a bit of Repton), I'm aiming for my first ever Lunatic 1cc in Touhou. I've been playing the games for nearly four years now and I've cleared four games on Hard (IN, MoF, SSS, HSiFS), so it's time to move up a notch. I feel ready for it. I've already had one attempt that got as far as the final boss. I can do this.

Yeah, I'd definitely advise not watching until / unless you've either completed it yourself (or at least can be sure you've gotten further than me), or aren't interested in playing it at all - or perhaps if you're not sure, maybe just watching the first few episodes to get an idea of it. It's very much a game where watching videos will greatly spoil the game for you, unlike Spelunky which - while it will spoil a few of the secrets - is overall still fun to play even when you know every detail, thanks to the randomly-generated nature of it.

For the record, playing the second game first will likely spoil storyline from the first, but it doesn't really spoil gameplay any more than playing the first game first would - they are very similar in terms of gameplay and the puzzle logic, playing either one will make the other a bit easier.

I might consider increasing it from two videos per day at some point, if I get a bit more of a backlog of videos, since I'm so far managing to record four videos per day (but only posting two). I'm up to eight videos recorded so far.

I just uploaded the 19th part of my La-Mulana 2 LP last night. So over 19 parts (and the first one being twice the length of most others), based on avialable evidence I'd estimate I'm... about a quarter of the way through the game, at best.

That'd suggest the whole game will be about 30 to 40 hours all up, which is pretty damn good for an indie. :D

So, I'm relatively new to these forums, and I'm relatively new to Lemmings. I had only first played it a little less than a year ago, and I quite enjoyed it. I have started an official Let's Play of it on my (very small) YT channel. And yes, I admit that I am NOT a good LPer. I will try to get better in the future. I have various other content, some of it also related to Lemmings. I have "music comparisons" that rank each version of a song from all the different ports of the game. I have done this for every song in ONML and three songs in L2 so far. I haven't done it for L1, as someone else has done this for that game. I hope you will enjoy my existing content and the content to come. I shall post a L1 LP video very shortly after this message. See you around! :D

In your music comparisons, I think you've numbered the ONML tracks wrong (unless you're basing the order off a different platform, maybe). 1, 2 and 3 are correct. The track you've got as track 4, is actually track 5 on both Amiga and DOS. Which way around the last two are depends on the platform, from what I've heard (on DOS - your track 6 = track 4, your track 5 = track 6).

No, the videos have the correct track numbering as regards the Amiga version. Tracks 1-3 are the same numbers as DOS, 4-6 are different.

Yeah, I didn't know which numbering to follow, as the Amiga/Mac II numbering and DOS/Atari ST numbering were different. I eventually settled for the Amiga numbering, though, in retrospect, I should have followed the DOS numbering, as more people are familiar with it.

Oh, I was under the impression it was just 4 and 6 that were swapped.

I'll be taking the week off from uploading videos. My siblings are back in town, so we're hanging out, and I haven't had time to record or edit new videos (the Rocket Slime bonus videos are taking AGES to make).
