Holiday Lemmings 1993/4 No Sound?
« on: August 06, 2011, 02:52:33 PM »
Hi, one of the things I was wondering about is why the Mac version of holiday lemmings has music and the PC Version only has sound effects.  This really bugs me alot.

Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is there a patched version I can download (since it is abandonware and no longer esa protected)?

IIRC I use the Dos versions from Abandonia in Dosbox, and they all have music. Are you using Dosbox?

(By ESA protection, you probably mean the ESA runs after copyright infringers of games. Legally important is just the game's copyright resctriction, and that will still persist for multiple decades. It's still the correct thing to distribute the games. :> )

If you're running in Dosbox, make sure you have the cycles set to a low number (3000 or less) or Lemmings & variants like OhNo and Holiday will refuse to play music and revert to FX mode.
