Lix Levels / Re: Miniatures (10 small levels)
« on: February 12, 2019, 12:30:37 PM »
I'll be looking forward to contributing to this pack with some mean bug-infested levels as per usual which will become unplayable in the close future with Simon rogue-patching them out 8-)

Here my replays, I skimmed through the pack in the last 24 hours or so, was very fun and sometimes frustrating!

A rough difficulty tier list for me personally, based on how long (or how many fresh retries after doing other things) I needed for a level:

Simple:
Solitary Confinement, Frog Fractions, Diodes, At the Pond, Overhead, Scraping the Scripture, Centipede, Ifo Island, Spin Me Around, African Wigwam

Medium:
Dadly Cells, Sending a Postcard, Jerboa Garden, Parrot Cage

Hard:
The Bottomless Closet, In the Cubicle, Rock on the Block

Live Event Scheduling / Re: Ocarina of Time Race

I want in a new (rando) race :(

But I have a different proposal: Since a randomized run could take very well a few hours, we could play the same seed cooperatively (either just by communicating where key items are, so people can split up the checks to get everything faster - or by using Multi-World generation, which is some sort of true co-op mode where only specific players get specific items, and they need to find them to provide them to other players or something of the sort, haven't really found a proper description of it yet). That would definitely cut down the time needed to complete the whole thing and will be way more managable in a single run.

Live Event Scheduling / Re: Arty's streams

Hello, has the stream begun yet? I planned on dropping in for a bit but the stream doesn't seem online.

EDIT: That's because I checked the YouTube page as per first post in the topic, didn't find any link to the twitch page but a quick Google search led me to the Twitter account which (in a comment) had the twitch link. Yay!

Hello! I totally missed that you started again and I'd love to join the next randomizer races.

But another question on the side, do you also play A Link to the Past for SNES? That one's randomizer is extremely well built and probably one of the most thorough in existence. That one would also be much shorter to complete if there are time constraints for specific sessions.

Whoa! I totally missed this topic. I'd love doing OoT randomizer races with other people (it's not the same alone). However right now I have nothing set up and I'd need to prepare a little for it. I'll keep an eye on this thread for future developments.

Lix Main / Re: Feature wishes

Oh, sorry, I totally didn't grasp it was for actually playing levels, not designing levels. That's another case altogether and such a feature will definitely prove useful.

IIRC, there was a "splat height" tile in one of the debug graphics tilesets that one could use. Has it since been removed?

General Discussion / Re: Dreams
« on: July 10, 2017, 02:22:12 PM »
Ohh yeah. Dreams can be real movie material sometimes. Oftentimes they make no sense at all, but that is another part what makes them so great, because it is a welcome change to real life logic.

I do actually maintain a dream diary, it currently has 340 entries, plus there's a pretty big gap of about 3 or 4 years (I definitely had dreams during that time) because I refused to maintain something that felt incomplete (I couldn't remember all my dreams detailedly enough, or get around to writing them down in time), but luckily I managed to pick it up again last year and just add to it even if I only remember tiny little things.

Site Discussion / Re: [Site Suggestion] Skill Emojis for the site?
« on: June 09, 2017, 10:07:18 AM »
I too like the idea of skill emotes but am in favor of non-animated ones, precisely due to what ccexplore said (the animations would be quite distracting and not add any value).
